Our forum is relatively popular within our market, and it's sure to attract spammers. We have a zero tolerance for such activities so be very careful. If you have a transgender related website or personal blog you're welcome to put your URL in your profile where it asks for your web address. You're also welcome to add a link in your signature provided it isn't too spammy and it is transgender related.

We monitor this site very closely and spot spammers almost instantly. We will delete any spam messages, posts, profile links or signature links and delete membership from the site. We permanently ban any associated IP addresses (sometimes including subnets) and this will result in being banned from many other forums that use spam monitoring services, as we do. There are absolutely no warnings or advance notice and there is no appeal process so please abide by our message forum rules. If in doubt please just ask in advance.

Question Admin. by the way thanks for looking out for the spammers for us , Ok question whats to stop them from grabbing our Email address and adding it to their lists then bugging us that way . I know we need to monitor our Emails only from those we know but if it's a so called member possing then should we give you said Link that we get that way you can notify others like this as to look out for or should we make a posting that others here can goto and find the links to look out for . Just some thoughts once again Your the best Keep up the good work and Thanks for looking out for us .

spammers, or anyone else for that matter, cannot see your email addy in your profile. the actual address is hidden, and the only way anyone will see it is if you post it in a thread in any of the forums - which has been warned against in the past, or if you reply to email that someone has sent you using the link in your profile.

if by some chance a spammer cliks on the "click here to e-mail me" link that is in your profile, the email will arrive at it's destination unless the recipient has filters that would prevent it. however, the spammer does not know where that email was delivered, and will not know the recipient's email addy unless the recipient responds as mentioned above. if an email is bounced back to the spammer because of the recipient's email filters, it's possible a spammer could then discover the email addy at that time. that is something that someone else will have to answer. but i would think that if something like that happened, it wouldn't matter - you would never know about the spam because you would not have received it, and the spammer would probably not bother sending more spam because the email was returned to him/her.

for the most part, tho... the majority of spammers we encounter (lately) are "ad spammers." they come in, register, and put links in their own profile. the ones that do post spam in the forums don't normally take the time to stop and email people - email and PMs sent out by spammers are thankfully rare.

as always, if you or anyone receives email or PM's from someone you suspect is a spammer, or the content of such email or PM's are of an undesirable nature... let admin or any of us moderators know about it. nothing can be done if no one says anything.
