GENDERQUEER IDENTITIES"
Genderqueer Health

“Last updated December 18, 2011. Original was a project for a Health class by Marilyn Roxie, November 2011. Revision forthcoming.

Introduction to Genderqueer Identities:
In the 7th edition of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (http://www.wpath.org/) Standards of Care for the Health of Transsexual, Transgender, and Gender Nonconforming People (“Glossary”, 2011), genderqueer is defined as an “identity label that may be used by individuals whose gender identity and/or role does not conform to a binary understanding of gender as limited to the categories of man or woman, male or female”. This paper seeks to answer the question: what options for health care are available for genderqueer people in the United States? I selected this topic because I identify as genderqueer myself and run Genderqueerid.com, a site dedicated to exploring these identities, providing information, and spreading awareness.” No author mentioned

“The aim of Genderqueer Identities is to provide awareness, information, and resources for genderqueer and non-binary-related identities. Feedback and submissions are most welcome! It is my hope that having a place for open discussion about genderqueer identities and related topics will help awareness grow.” ~Marilyn Roxie
