The Unitarian Universalist Congregations are very supportive of trans people and our causes.
If you want what you've never had, you've got to do what you've never done.

Not many replies to this topic. Makes me wonder if that speaks to the lack of resources in way too many places...

It was because I could not find support for SO's transitioning with MtF... that I began to write my story. I found a female psychologist in SF area who specialized in this area, who I went to speak to for one hour ($250). Cost limited my ability to speak with her though I found the information she shared, helpful. I found only a couple of books available on the subject. I did locate a support group for the MtF, organized by a couple who had been husband and wife. At the time he was post-surgery, MtF. The SO (wife) spoke with me -- What she had to say was validating, and I over time realized that an SO to MtF experiences similar feelings.... only our circumstances may be a bit different. I categorize an SO as wife, girlfriend, parent, child, siblings, friends, acquaintances -- anyone who knows the person who is transitioning. It seems to me that there may be more support groups for FtM in the SF area than there are for the MtF. But, I feel, finding the support for the SO is difficult even now.in 2012.
