Wow...I am Episcopal, but had no idea we had a gay bishop. Goes to show just how little association I've had with the church since my early 20's (and I've never been one to watch much news). Though Gene Robinson was elected only a few months before my dad died, I'm surprised I never heard him say anything about it. My dad was a staunch believer that homosexuality was a sin. Learning that the Episcopal church had seated a gay man as bishop would have made his head spin.

Mr. Tutu is among the few influential people in this world who is respected and listened to. I hope that his efforts are helping to change peoples' attitudes - not just in Africa, but for everyone around the world.
