Obviously, the "system" says she violated ethics policy by discussing it with the students. They believe the correct course would have been to bring the issue to the administration. The question is, would the administration have done anything to support him?

The student teacher did the right thing by attempting to dispel rumours by confronting the students. He did it very well too by asking the class if they have any questions. The dismissal based on ethics is BS and everyone knows it. What teacher is not allowed to say anything about themselves or share an experience? I always found that the most interesting when a teacher related something about themselves to the class. Are they trying to take the human out of the teacher? If so, we may as well get robots to start teaching.
