Twitter users save Tottenham transsexual who tweeted 'suicide' bid
London24
A Tottenham transsexual who posted her “real-time suicide” bid on Twitter was saved after concerned followers across the country tracked her down and alerted emergency services...

If you want what you've never had, you've got to do what you've never done.

This story is similar to one that some of us right here on the forums encountered.  It is a helpless feeling that spanned over a few tense hours, and involved four of us...so I can imagine how the people on twitter felt.  Lori saved the day in the situation here, having called the nearest authorities based on the member's IP address.  In turn, the IP address enabled police to find the member's residence and they went to check on her.  Thankfully, she was okay.

Someone I know through Second Life sent an email to another person I know regarding suicide.  The receiver of the email contacted the police in Montreal who then found the address and broke in.  They were too late.  She was TG.  Her sister knew nothing about her struggles and said she would have accepted it and helped.  We live in such fear.  So sad.
