Please remember that we are not responsible for any messages posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message.

The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of this bulletin board. Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable messages and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law.

You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this bulletin board.

1. Forum rules

a. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum and Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Posts to this board may be modified by registered members, but moderators are under no obligation to remove the posts of a present or former member.

b. Users are asked to refrain from acting as "back seat moderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team if a Moderator Team Member has not replied within 6 hours.

c. Users should remember this board is aimed at a general audience so postings should be directed at a G or PG rating level. Posting pornographic or offensive text, images, links or other content will not be tolerated.

d. Users are asked to respect the copyright of content owners. Posts linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission of the copyright owner will be removed.

e. Users should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites and refrain from the use of image tags referencing data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to reference.

f. Users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons or text which does not follow the norm for size and color. Users should not write entirely in upper-case letters or use excessive punctuation in topic titles or posts.

g. Users should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include; "intersex problem", "money", "trouble", etc. Examples of good titles include; "Medical complications associated with adrenal hyperplasia", "What problems did you experience while transitioning?", etc.

h. Users should post a new topic under the correct forum section. Off-topic posts may be removed should they become a distraction or a large part of the forum content. Follow-up posts to off-topic posts may also be removed at the Moderator Team's discretion.

i. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. This includes offering hosting services (charged and free), installation services, etc. Users posting spam will be warned and their post removed. See specific item on spam and 3rd party linking for more information.

j. Users are asked to not post topics or replies containing information which may detail a security vulnerability in the TGGuide services. If you believe you have found a hole or other issue please contact webmaster@tgguide.com. NOTE that this address is not to be used for general support questions. If you do email this address for a support issue do not expect a reply.

k. The Moderator, Support and other Teams reserve the right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users.

l. Personal attacks, bashing, baiting, threats, trolling, profanity and sexual innuendos are strictly prohibited.

m. Users may not divulge the content of private messages or moderator correspondence without the permission of the author.

n. Users may not publicly post any information which may reveal his or her identity. Such information includes, but is not limited to a Member's full name, address, social security number, credit card or bank account information.

o. Users may not impersonate another user or access another user's account.

p. Users may not post commercial or non-commercial information that may reasonably be considered advertisements.

q. Users may not re-edit a post that has already been edited by a Moderator.

r. Users may not discuss bans or any other Moderator actions on the forum because such discussion usually results in a flame war. Please ask questions via the private message system to individual Moderators.

s. The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings (as above) and/or the revocation of private messaging.

t. Occasionally, there may be exceptions to the rules above and the Moderator Team reserves the right to be able to make exceptions to rules when we believe an exception may better our community.

u. Abusive or unique situations may arise that are not covered by our rules, but we reserve the right to deal with those situations in a manner appropriate to protect the integrity of our forums and community.

v. Users are prohibited from starting or participating in any discussion that aids, encourages, details, abets or facilitates illegal activity of any kind.

w. Users may not discuss how to obtain hormones without a prescription or their specific dosages of hormones (Ex: I take XX mgs of premarin a day with XX mg spiro. What do you take?). We must emphasize that hormones are only to be administered by a competent physician. Do not take chances with your life.

2. Signatures

a. Signatures may contain up to five lines of text and/or one image not to exceed 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high.

b. Text sizes should be between 9 and 12 point. Text in signatures is subject to the same conditions as posts with respect to decency, warez, emoticons, and other restrictions.

c. Users are permitted to use links in their signatures. Such links may be made to informative, non-commercial material or to personal, non-commercial websites owned by the poster. Links are included within the text and image limits above. Links to offensive sites may be subject to removal.

3. Avatars

a. Users are permitted to upload an avatar image subject to the limitation that user-defined avatars are to be no larger than 90 pixels square, must contain no animation, must not contain any image which attempts to portray the user as having an official status here, and may not exceed 6KB in file size.

b. Avatars are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, emoticons and other restrictions.

4. Policing

a. The TGGuide forums operate a three-strike policy. Users will be warned a maximum of three times for any and all rules violations during a three month period. Upon the issuance of a third warning, a temporary ban lasting 1 to 7 days may be put in place against the violator.

b. Users who argue with Team Members about a warning they have received will immediately receive an additional warning. Should this raise the User's total of warnings to 3, a ban may be put in place as in 4a above.

c. Users who feel they have been unfairly warned are welcome to contact the Moderation Leader. If the Moderation Leader feels you were treated badly he or she will remove a warning. If you feel the Moderation Leader's decision is also unfair you may contact the webmaster to appeal. Contacting the webmaster for appeal before all other avenues for appeal have been exhausted is forbidden.

d. Any User who attempts to circumvent a temporary ban will cause that ban to be made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account to evade an email ban, or posting as an anonymous user.

e. Any User who directly contacts a Team Member personally and posts insulting, indecent or vulgar material immediately forfeits all right to use the forums and may be subject to an immediate permanent ban.

f. Permanent bans are a last resort to a problem User's actions and discussion is undertaken before permanent bans are put in place, and will only be removed on a case-by-case basis.
