Hi all,

I've been a very bad TGGuide citizen, the new job has kept me much busier than the former!

I had an appointment with my endocrinologist yesterday - my testosterone level is down to 318 now (from mid-400s last time) - so it's getting there!  He increased my estrogen prescription to 3mg/day, and said to go up to 4mg in a couple of months, then I'll see him again shortly after that :-)

On the less medical side, I had 2 medical professionals (my endocrinologist and therapist) both say to me yesterday that I very definitely seem more comfortable with myself - that's exactly what my therapist said - the endocrinologist was a bit more wordy, he's a doctor, it's hard for them to get to the point :-)  And I very definitely feel that way!

I've started to explore top surgery, hopefully to happen this summer (I'll have been on HRT for a full year in early August).  It helps a lot that our insurance provider confirmed that they are covering transition expenses now (in compliance with New York law), though they clearly haven't figured out what that means yet. I should get more detail in the next few days.

xoxo

Great News Christie,

You might find that as you go through your transition, that you find previously exciting things as being a little more mundane anyway, so you'll have less to write about? Great news about your Insurance, good luck to you you'll be having your op before I get mine by the sounds of it? I have less and less to post that I feel is valid these days, it just all starts to become so normal.................which is a good thing when you think about it.

Cheers

Eve

Hey Christie!

No worries about your absence. I'm so very busy too at my job. I found that our local deli offers wifi so I bring my iPad to lunch and enjoy catching up while grabbing a quick salad. It's such a nice breather to slide into my truegender self during the day even for fifteen minutes.

Thank goodness everything is covered for you in New York. It's only right that it is and thank goodness that it is when you need it.

Write when you can!

Hugs,

Emma

All fabulous news :)

In regards to top surgery, one thing I learned was first researching a surgeon where mine was selected through a consultation and found him and his assistant to be great along with allowing him to decide to cup size which was spot on and was not the cup size I would had picked but now know he made the best choice for me.

Best wishes on your ongoing journey.
