My name is Brooke. I'm 23 years old and I currently work for the FDNY. I was a firefighter for 2 years before i transferred to do a detail in headquarters working with recruitment and diversity. I am about 6 months into my physical transition as of march 2011. I love music and its ability to speak to the soul. I love glee. I live at home right now with my mom and our 4 dogs. I've always had dogs growing up so I love them very much. I went to school for sociology and gender studies and I got my bachelors degree in 2008. I want to go back to school and eventually get my PhD and teach at the college level. But for now I am very focused on my transition and creating an environment that is friendly for that. I look forward to finding my prince charming (I'm a huge Disney fan. I worked there in Florida for almost a year and it was a wonderful experience.) but I'm kind of digging loving myself right now. It's a great thing to finally be unapologetically yourself. Hopefully I can find a man that appreciates that as well.
