About Me

Hi -- my name is Bobbie, also known as Alana's Spouse.

I had known the 'masculine presented' approximately 25 years (we even had an intimate relationship) before I 'saw' Alana for the first time in 2006.  I wasn't very nice to her -- I told her I thought she was a freak and I didn't want to have anything to do with her.  Two years later, in December 2008, we were married -- using these vows:

PREACHER
:  Loved ones, we come together today to join this couple in holy matrimony as they stand before you, one another, and God to pledge their love and their desire to become as one.

In the presence of God and those gathered do you, Bobbie, take Alana to be your lifelong partner?

BOBBIE
:  I do.

PREACHER
:  In the presence of God and those gathered do you, Alana, take Bobbie to be your lifelong partner.

ALANA
:  I do.

*****  RINGS  *****

BOBBIE
:  With this ring I thee wed because I love you just as you are and I look forward with great joy to spending the rest of my life with you, being with you in all that life brings.  May our lives be blessed with love, laughter, and the knowing that everyday in every way our lives get better and better. (
Then Bobbie puts the ring on Alana’s finger
)

ALANA
:  With this ring I thee wed and take you as my lawfully wedded partner to have, hold, and cherish for all our days to come, I promise to do all within my power to make you happy, whole, and complete.  May our lives be blessed with love, laughter, and the knowing that everyday in every way our lives get better and better. (
Then Alana puts the ring on Bobbie’s  finger
)

PREACHER
:  This couple has come together in holy wedlock by pledging their love to one another by the giving and receiving of a ring, therefore, I pronounce that they are joined in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

YOU MAY KISS YOUR PARTNER

It took two years for my 'transformation' from being closed minded to realizing that this wonderful, sweet, loving, caring, honest person is always the same, no matter what name is used to identify the person.  I use SWEETHEART.

Alana has written a book which was released in May 2012 -- the book is getting all kinds of attention, for which we are very thankful, because it is helping 'educate' (including me) about trans-people.  You can view Alana's "Interview with the Author" on the home page, and read the first chapter in a blog entitled, "Just A Little Tease Chapter 1" at http://www.hunginthemiddle.com.

BTW - I'm currently in the process of telling 'my side of the story' -- about MY transition -- my book will be called, "My HUSBAND Looks Better in Lingerie Than I Do . . .DAMN IT."

Sending love and positive energy to all,

Bobbie

aka Alana's Spouse
