I'm a 64 year old in a male body. I live, and have lived, my life in the public world as a man. However, I've been exploring my gender identity for some time now and I have realised that I also have a strong female identity. This is in addition to the feminine nature of my male identity. I explore and express my female identity in many ways, including cross dressing..

It's difficult to find the label that describes me within the LGBTIQ community. In the sense that my gender identity crosses normally accepted boundaries then I'm "trans" but I'm happy with my fluid identity and I'm not on an M to F transgender journey. "Androgyne" goes part of the way to describe it but I think "gender fluid" is better. sometimes I'm male and sometimes I'm female. If i had to choose from L,G,B,T,I or Q then it would have to be "Q", if "Q" stands for "genderqueer".

In my F identity I am feminist and in my M identity I am a feminist supporter. In both identities (and in any that lie in between and off the binary gender line altogether) I am attracted sexually to women, not to men. Where that puts me in the straight/gay continuum is anybody's guess!
