My name is Krista I'm 28 and I am transgender.. I prefer to be called David.. I have only told one person in my family that I am transgender.. Everyone else just thinks I'm gay. I've known I was different since I was a little kid.. probably since I was 5. I always wanted to play with the boys. I liked playing with boy toys, liked dressing up as one.. I even had my hair cut short when I was 6 because I wanted to look like a boy. My dad didn't know that that's why I wanted my hair cut like that and my mom wasn't thrilled about it lol. I just recently told everyone that I was "gay". And I just recently told one of my sisters that I'm transgender. She keeps trying to get me to tell my mom but I'm too afraid.. Not because I think she wouldn't love or support me.. I just don't know how to explain it to her. And I don't know how I would tell the rest of my family.. I know of quite a few people in my family who wouldn't be very supportive about it. Those people don't even know I'm "gay" well I'm sure they have an idea. I've never dated a girl or been with one in anyway other than friendship. I would love to meet a woman I can share things with and someone that would support me being transgender.
