A have read across the various websites full of research into the different types of intersex and one concept still confuses me. Ovotestis. Wikipedia seems not to have a page on them. My understanding is that they are basically a combination of an ovary and a testicle. But some thigns are left unmentioned by most places I've looked. What type of cells do they produce? -Sperm -Ovum -OvoSperm? Where are they found in the body? -Where Ovaries should be? -Where Testicles should be? -One of each? -Somewhere in between? How many are there? -Is it possible to have two ovotestes? When (If ever) do they generate cells? -Ovaries generate Ova before even bei…

Hi, I'm new on here. For all my life, I've been wanting to being a girl and denying and supressing it. I've only now admitted and decided to live with it. However, I think I may actually be intersexed. A lot of my body features and shapes are distinctly female. I also go through mood swings and emotional changes in ways that women do and guys don't. My bodyhair is light, on my arms and face (I can't grow a real beard, even if I don't shave for weeks, just some dark fuzz), although moderate on my legs. I've just been a little bit curious about this lately, and it's probably nothing, but reading things from google got me wondering. This is for any genetic male out there who still has male genetals. I've never seen another man's scrotum in a very definitive manner, and I've never seen the area behind the scrotum at all. Well, I was wondering about a few things... because I'm having an intersex character in my story... that I'm making. Anyways, what do intersex's use for pronouns? He? She? IT? And, is there anything else I should know?

This may sound a little strange, especially since I am not intersexed myself. I am writing a novel in which one of the characters is a 'true hermaphrodite'. All the research I have found suggests that it is impossible to have both sets of functional genitalia. But for narrative reasons the child does have both sets of functional genitalia. I was wondering under what conditions (Kareotype etc) could such an arrangement occur. No matter how unlikely or no matter how pointless the speculation would be. I always wondered what happened to me. I had a "GID" all the way back when I can first remember. I had a bad case of TS where I had srs and all the therapy one can stomach in 3 lifetimes. I had no difficulty in passing as all my life when people first see me thought I was a girl. I had a girls voice and still do. I am in my 40s now and my life is stable. I always have been a girl. Even though I was biologically male back then, I had a hard time passing as a guy. My mother said that she had bleeding when she was three months pregnet with me. I've been on T blockers for a bit now, and one of my testes hurts a LOT, and the other doesn't hurt at all. Is this just the right one being a PITA, or is it an indication of something else?
