You don’t remember me? I suppose I should have suspected this might happen 

So, we used to talk all the time. Then, life really got me down. I ended homeless in the middle of a North Dakota winter and finally got a place, but couldn’t afford heat. Life was really rough for me all those years ago, but now I am better than ever. 

Honeslty, I never meant to let you down. I did,  but not by choice. I have always been your friend and I still am.
