Moving On 2

(0 reviews)

This is going to be a fluid blog as my plans seem to be updated on a daily basis. My lady friend has resumed contact in earnest. and she now expects to fly to Miami on or before July 17 so that we can drive together to he home in Eugene, OR. I am using PODS for moving and storage, and I am scheduled to be completely packed up on Saturday, July 13. I don't have to be out of my place until July 15, and I may just camp out here until then or go stay with my old neighbors in Sunrise. I have my own doctor's appointment and vet appointments for my puppies to work into this schedule, but it looks like it will work. I am trying not to get too far ahead of myself with the packing, so that I don't pack something I need right now. It's really getting down to the wire. I am also wrapping up my business with Aflac. My district coordinator and I have become good friends, and I know he will miss me. I have no doubt that he will keep my updated on the latest drama in the office. I will attend one last Monday Morning Meeting tomorrow, and be handing over my accounts to another agent.  I'm not sure I will be doing anymore Aflac for a while anyway. I appreciate all the support you all have given me, and I will let you know more as the week progresses.

Hey Michelle,

Eugene, as most of Oregon, is a very nice place to live. And hey, Seattle is less than 300 miles north! It would be fun to meet someday.

I recall your perseverance and positive attitude to your Aflac sales efforts. It's no surprise to me that your manager and you have become friends. I'm sure he was so grateful to have someone like you on his team.

Best wishes,

Emma

Dear MichelleLea,

Be careful making longterm/permanent plans with someone who has a history of going hot and cold.

If I were you, I would focus on building a circle of friends, both face to face as well as online.

Have you explored why you are drawn to this woman or why you are attracted to the idea of having a "mistress?" Do you know her backstory as to why she needs a "slave?" Fear this arrangement may invite abuse.

Your friend,

Monica

Thanks for your sage wisdom as always. Yes. I am aware of the dangers and am not even sure at this point if it will work out. At the same token, I am ready for a change and am heading west. I have a son not that far away in California, and yes, if I do settle in Eugene as I plan, we will get together.

Good for you. We spend so much of our lives fretting about diving into the deep end. As trans women we know that all too well. Is your move risky? Of course it is. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I was born, raised, and called California my home until just over two years ago. I wonder where your son is located. From my perspective California is a nice place to visit but Oregon and Washington are where to settle. At least in the more liberal areas such as the Seattle and Puget Sound area.

I hope it all goes fabulously for you in Eugene, I mean that.

Dear MichelleLea and Emma,

Emma, I can't agree with you more. Years ago, I visited San Francisco with a view to moving there from Tampa Bay, Florida. Yes, I was impressed that it seemed very welcoming, but I was amazed how many fundamentalist evangelical Christians were living there.

MichelleLea, at age 61, I decided to pursue being an artist. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made, but I am pleased that I am making steady progress!

You both are courageous women who inspire me to live life fearlessly!

Gratefully yours,

Monica
