I've heard of many guys who lived for a while as lesbians before either coming to terms with being, or discovering they were actually TS. From pictures of guys I've chatted with, and pix of people like Chaz Bono, it seems that all these guys dressed like any other male. Many had very male looking hair cuts. As I've not been around the board for more than a couple days, I don't know how appropriate this seems but I suppose the main reason for reaching out is that I'm kind of looking for a "big brother" of sorts, someone who's started transitioning and who can potentially take me under their hypothetical wing. I've only come out to myself this last week or so, as well as to my girlfriend and one other person, but that's it. I feel a little stranded and I feel like I need someone who knows what I'm going through and dealing with, among other things. I know I want to present as male soon, but should i get it checked out by a doctor or something if my bodies producing way more testosterone then my sex should be? I'm not fully ready to transition and my fathers realized that things have changed a lot in the last few months with me that would be normally a side effect of going on T like: Increased body hair Deeper voice (idk if this is a side effect) but i rage a lot. So, I caught myself staring intensilly... at this guy Xavier in my Criminology class. I should have been paying attention to "Catch me if you can" But, I was admiring his body. He's tall. And Handsome. And I wished I were him.... Is this normal? To stare with admoration at a body that you just wish you had? I do that a lot. So I'm just starting to apply for colleges.... But when i move out for school I want to start Transitioning... So.... on my applications when it says sex/gender, do I put female or male? I'd feel extremely comfortable if I could put male but it's not what my teachers, transcript birth certificate or so on say. What about when I apply for housing? If the school offers co-ed housing I should just go with that right? How do I explain myself to others? On 11/8/2011 I officially had my name changed from my birth name to Alexander along with a totally different middle and lastname. I cant believe how simple and easy that was. I didnt even have a real reason prepared. When the judge asked, I just stated that I didnt like the name i had, and he granted my request. Thats so awesome.

So on Wednesday (28th 2011) I've got my first appointment with the hospital about my gender identity/problem/dysphoria (all these words sound wrong >.<) It's not my usual hospital so my brother-in-law has to drive me there I'm all anxious because i don't know the layout and stuff. Any tips on whats going to happen? What should i say? What are they going to say? Should i dress formal or informal? Will they run tests or just ask questions?
