  1. Hello everyone! Alexia here from Transgender Digipad,a new transgender online community, that recently became a follower of the TGGuide on twitter. Just wanted to drop in to say hello and spread the word about our new site. I am the owner and founder of Transgender Digipad organisation. I am a MTF transgender who is pre-op and currently undergoing my own transition journey. For years, I have struggled to find informative and truthful information about the transition process in Australia. After four years of seeking the facts from the BS online, I have commited myself to sharing my personal experiences in my blog and creating a virtual community where we can all shar…

I am 57 and just this week is the first time I ever told anyone about feeling transgender. I have know it since I was a child but in my family we never addressed any kind of issues or problems. Just don't talk about it and it did not exist. I have never understood how I feel but I knew it felt right and brought me comfort to imagine I was female. But I was full of shame and could not talk about it at all. I could never let anyone really get close to me, even my wife, for fear they would find out who I really was. After being in therapy for over a year for depression, I finally told my therapist this week. He was the only one I had ever spoke to about this my whole life…

Hi everyone. Im new here. I had an unusual birth situation and something happened to me in the first month or two immediately after birth. The stories I was always told do not add up. Going through F puberty was a nightmare and very painful. I always felt like a monster. Why was I even alive? What..to be tormented day in day out? I wanted to end it all at age 20 but didn't only because someone special came into my life and refused to leave. Ive been transitioning now for 3 yrs but it's slow because the T isn't really changing my physique as it should. I have facial hair (already had a bit of a moustache prior to T), ever so slight muscle gain, a bit more of a huskier voic…

I completely forgot to do this until now.... Hi my name is Benjamin Friday. I'm a twenty-four year old writer from Connecticut. I have a Pomeranian, Drive a smart car and attend college. I also have a amazingly understanding partner. I've been out amongst family and friends for years, but since February I've begun to transition publicly. half of my writing is based on the awkward state of being trans, and how people react around me. I used to feel awkward about how I felt, now I feel embarrassed and awkward for others because they should be the ones feeling that way.

Hi everyone. My name is Carol. I'm six years post-op. I was married to my husband for 3 1/2 years when he passed away last June from lung cancer. I'm only now coming out of the lonliness and depession and of the last few months. I was looking around to talk to people who had some long term experience in transition to see how they were getting along. Carol

  14. I would like to say Hello to everyone here, and a nice thank you to the people who started this wonderful resource center, and to the maintenance team and all the volunteers who give their time for us. My nickname is Lulu, I am a sixty year old female. I started my actual transition in 2009 and had SRS in Bangkok Thailand in November 2010. I returned to Thailand in 2012 for additional surgeries. Thailand is my home, it is where I was born. As with many of you, I have only begun to live and there is so much to do ! I have read many posts, and I believe that everyone visiting this resource center will benefit greatly from the wealth of information and suggestions. Thank yo…

Hello all, My name is Erica Elizabeth Ravenwood, owner of a website called TheTransgenderMovement.com which I started as a way to give more information. http://www.thetransgendermovement.com/ I have been transgender my whole life. I was aware I was female at three years old but spent the next forty plus years learning how to deal with that knowledge. I have spent the last two exhausting years developing ways to explain the basics surrounding the topics concerning transgender people. What I found was the similarities all people have. What I have tried to give you are the arguments to show that. I've done quite a bit of teaching throughout NY state. Psychologists, physicia…

I'd like to welcome you to the TGGuide.com transgender forums. This forum has been created for member introductions. Whether you're a new or long-time member, please take a few moments to tell us a little about yourself. This is a great way to meet new friends so share as much as you want about yourself and what brings you here. I'm Lori, post-op TS. I had surgery in Montreal almost 20 years ago. I raised two children, a son and a daughter, mostly as a single parent. It wasn't an easy path but it was all worth it. I'm very happy and content with life and still enjoy a great relationship with my children. I live with my female partner (a hottie!) as a lesbian couple. We…

  19. Hello I don't know what to say. Um.... Illinois is a gay desert. Anyway, I was looking for LGBTQ+ services or events in the area and the best the internet could do was recommend hormones. I already have those. I'll try to make it sound different from a dating profile but eh... I'm DDF MTF/TS non-op. I'm terminally single. Just kidding, divorced 2x, married women both times. Both are passed so no crazy X but they left some baggage. I've been on HRT for like 20 years now with short times off due to life issues. I think it's pretty impressive considering how hostile this country is now. Background, USMC, DoD. Infantry and armor then the DoD stuff was mostly HQ USAF Space Com…

Hi my name is Amie, I spent many hours on tgguide over the last couple of years. I have had legal gender reassignment in the form of Orchiectomy and now have scheduled date for Vaginoplasty in February of 2013. I wrote a book about my experience called the Transgender Paradox: To Be Oneself. I care deeply about this community and have dedicated my life to offering support to transgender individuals especially those who wish to reach out to me. I had a little trouble logging on over the past months. I was very depressed because my spouse of 18 years divorced me. She has difficutly even being friendly anymore, of course that is typical in most divorces. So I als…

  22. Started by Colby,

Hello everyone! My name is Colby and I am an Female to Male transgender. I'm only a teenager and have been really confused as to actually go through with transitioning to male. Even though I have been sure for a while that I want to be a guy, I still am hesitant to do any medical and/or social changes that I could either regret or have negative repercussions. I'm not sure if that makes me an actual transgender, I haven't even had people call me by male pronouns (however, I have to thank my parents for giving me a more masculine name, kudos to them!), and I've told my parents that I'm still comfortable being referred to as a girl, even though I'm not. I don't want to tell …

  23. Hi all, just found this site and I am thrilled in reading what I have so far. This is an amazing outlet to get questions answered, get tips, and generally have fun it appears. I hope you will all welcome me, I started dressing as early as 4 years old, I kept it a secret till I was 30, and I came out at 50. I wasted so much of my life hiding and not being me and now I am so happy being out and living every day as my true self. Not saying there aren't situations and days, and dating ugh, such a challenge and guys are so awful sometimes but I hold on to the hope that better days are ahead and there is someone out there for me. Bless you all and thank you for allowing me to p…

Hi, I’m Beth, I’m a post-op transsexual who’s transition was not an easy path however when I look back to my own preverbal "fork in the road", I'm not sure how much longer I’d have lasted on my personal path of self-destruction. I had my GRS in Montreal and have amazing results! I’m happily married to a woman and to outside eyes we are a lesbian couple. Our closest friends and of course our families know I was born male. I have two children from a previous marriage who accept me and whom I am very close with, my wife and I are raising one and my ex the other (their own choice) while we each have visitation of the other on holidays and summer. I have a fulfilling career a…

Hello everyone, I'm Gloria. I have not been at the TG Guide in I think tens years or so. My best friend at that time here was named Annie, and I met her in Memphis, Tenn at the airport before her flight. I got so sad after that time because I could not do anything with my female feelings, that I purged everything female and kept to myself. Now, in the past three weeks, My female feelings are coming back out and I long for female friendship to help me feel, female again . I know that I may never be able to live or change to female in my life as I don't have the means of funds to do it, But maybe I can feel female here! None of my family or friends know about my feelings…
