Hi everyone. I'm Jen. I'm in my 50s and after many years of therapy, I've come to the point where I can admit to myself and my therapist that I am transgendered. I've felt wrong since I was 9 years old, but didn't understand it for a long time, then I denied and repressed those feelings. My wife and I have been married for over 30 years and we have two grown kids (one a junior in college). I live on Long Island, NY. I'm a lawyer with a small general practice. My wife would not take me coming out very well. I think my kids would be more accepting. My therapist is encouraging me to reach out to support groups, so here I am. She thinks some sort of group therapy d…

Hello, My name is Lilly Blue (not my real name) and I am a 33 year old transgender woman living in fabulous Las Vegas. While I knew at a young age I was "different," I had no idea how. I lived the majority of my life trying to blend in but I found myself suffering from chronic depression and became intent on finding out why I couldn't be happy. After ready a blog by a trans woman in Australia, I started to understand my depression. After some experimentation with cross dressing and the like, I began seeing a therapist who helped me understand myself further. Two years ago, I was diagnosed with gender identity disorder and recommended to start hormone repla…

Hi, I'm Shannon, and I'm pretty new to all of this. I'm a MtF, and have not started hormones or anything really yet. I've always known that I was a female inside of me, but I've never had anyone really to talk to about it. I feel that becoming a woman is the best way that I can fully express myself and would love to start down that road. Like I said, I really don't have anyone to talk to about it, but it would be really great if I could meet a few people here that would be willing to talk to me about it. I've got a lot of questions and I would love to meet some new people. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! -Shannon

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Victoria, just your typical closeted TG'er. I just stumbled onto the twitter site and someone kindly asked me to introduce myself. I work as a male, but when I get home, I'm pretty much dressed as a girl. In fact, looking down at my fingernails, I've noticed that I did a very poor job of removing the pink nail polish I put on. I've been dressing forever, dabbled with hormones (ya, ya.. I know, don't do it without doctor supervision), stopped dabbling with hormones (self reflection on what I really wanted out of life), had electrolysis (actually, still doing it... it takes forever!!), and ultimately decided that I'll just …

Friends, and friends of iPhone. Hi, my name is Billy. I wrote an iPhone app called TranSquat. In a nutshell, it is a gender neutral bathroom finder that locates bathrooms that are gender free relative to your current location. You can search, add and share safe locations. It was written by and for the trans community. It is powered by data from safe2pee. You can help build the app by downloading and adding locations in your own communities. On a personal note, I wanted to write an app for the trans community. It is also my fundraising goal to get 3000 downloads to help finance my surgery with Dr. Charles Garammone. So far, I only have 2956 to go. Every download helps. …

Hi, everyone. My name's Morgana, and I'm part of the US military. I'm also trans, but I don't feel that should determine my ability to serve my country. I'll probably be asking for advise a lot, so I hope I don't annoy anyone.

hi everyone! am new to tgguide, have been on several other LGBT forums before but left them because they had some pretty agressive members on them and quite trollish users so am looking for a friendly community. am age thirty and have only been officialy out as transgender for the past...nearly one year but had been actively transgender for entire life without realising it;am classic autistic and have mild intelectual disability which have both affected understanding of gender and sexuality,am also the most extreme form of asexuality-never had any sexuality yet have spent many years being called gay. am hoping to get the chest op as this has been a massive issue for s…

Hi! I'm Kaylee. I've been blogging here for a little, but I've been naughty and not introduced myself on the forums. I'm 30, pre-op and have been self-medicating oestrogen, progesterone and anti androgens for 6 months. I live in the UK and am a software developer (specifically a human computer interaction specialist). I've lived in Tokyo for a year, although my Japanese is still appalling. My family have nothing to do with me: my father is a sexually abusive sociopath and my mother is a narcissist. I'm bi (pan, technically), size 14, curvy in the right places and cute... Though sometimes I look in the mirror and still see a boy in a dress. I changed my…

I'm a 21 year old transgender male from Pittsburgh,PA in the USA. I recently came out to my family and am looking for support from anyone who will give me it. I actually plan on getting counseling from Persad Center because I'm still confused on what I want. I identify mostly as bi-gendered, but there are times when I wish I was a girl. I just feel more intouch with my feminine side and I want it to be expressed on the outside. I've even gone as far as going out in full dress since I came out. I don't wear a wig and make up though. I go out as a male in female clothing. Can't wait to start talking more about this to people though (:

I completely forgot to do this until now.... Hi my name is Benjamin Friday. I'm a twenty-four year old writer from Connecticut. I have a Pomeranian, Drive a smart car and attend college. I also have a amazingly understanding partner. I've been out amongst family and friends for years, but since February I've begun to transition publicly. half of my writing is based on the awkward state of being trans, and how people react around me. I used to feel awkward about how I felt, now I feel embarrassed and awkward for others because they should be the ones feeling that way.

Hello Everyone, I am Ally (61 years old), transitioning late in life. For years, I told everyone I was a gay man, but that never felt right. It was just a compromise. Like most MTFs I have spoken with, I wish I had started sooner, but I am very happy to take the step now. I am not one to spend a lot of time on regrets. My transition has been a gradual process -- first going through electrolysis -- and only starting HRT in early 2018. I took a break from HRT in early 2019. I just put it on hold because of other stuff in my life. Also, my results weren't that great. My estrogen level never rose above 28 -- still in the range of a man not on hormones. My doctor was…

Hi. My name is Brianna. This my first experience with the transgender community. So far I have been posting & chatting a bit. It truly is special to know that I can let my female side free and not keep her inside all of the time. My story started out when I was 10. I was looking in the laundry for some of my clothes. I found a pair of silky panties. I was curious as to how they would feel. So I tried them on. Right then I knew that I loved the way they felt. Well, I was caught & shamed fairly badly. I stopped for a couple of years. Then one day I put some panties on but I didn't stop there. I put on hose, bra,(I stuffed it to simulate breasts),Dress & finally …

Hi...new to the site here. I classify myself as a crossdresser, although I haven't dressed much lately. When I do dress, I usually wear panties and a bra every now and then. In reality, I suppose I am still experimenting with crossdressing. I haven't divulged my crossdressing urges to anyone. I have had a feminization fantasy for years...I suppose that helped kickstart my crossdressing. My dressing started just a few years ago....never had the urge to do so before that. Growing up, I was a typical male...not effeminate whatsoever. I felt like I was wierd though....having secret fantasies of being feminized...not something one typically shares with family and fri…

Hiya, y'all!!! My name is Jennifer!!!! I am 32 years old, and I realized just last year that I am M2F transgender. I was in denial about it though, but it wasn't until I started writing in a journal about my feelings that I truly realized that I was transgender. I had discovered that all of the signs were there when I was younger, but back then, I had no idea what being transgender even meant, and so it was easy to overlook it. Now that I have moved passed the denial stage, I am just trying to understand it all. I haven't transitioned or even gone to see a gender therapist yet, I have merely been dressing in feminine clothing in secret, practicing putting on makeup, and..…
