My parents have been great to me lately, last week they finally came to terms and accepted I am transgendered on the hormones since August. We are talking even more and did this today.Called me Danielle for the first time and adjusting very well saying she and her around me.My parents saw I was never happy as a child and this was it.I knew at an early age about the age of 5 that I had feelings that I was born with the wrong body. They thought it was their fault and did tell them it was not.Mom noticed something right I had done,my nails and said the color was pretty.Told her thank you.My dad said I am whole better person now since I have been out of the closet on this.We eve…

Using Estradot with herbs. Background. Began a few years ago with no difference between "band and nipple measurement." Started with herbs (Dong Quai, Kwao Krua, fenugreek, dandelion root, etc) which for me, quickly worked (from 0 to Stage 2 breast tissue, but no budding),...also focused on feminine foods (watercress, red clover, carrots, avocados, alfalfa, etc),...the result was quick, especially on breast tissue and weight distribution in the butt,...but peaked in just 3-4 months. Added Kwao Krua Thai cream,...another slight boost. maintained 2" between band to bust. Four mouths ago, started using a Medala pump,...which after a month became addicting,..…

I saw a topic named this and wanted to respond, but then realized it was in the F2M forum. So I decided to make an analogous topic for M2Fs: How far do you plan to transition ultimately? For me, I've already had a bilateral orchiectomy and started HRT. However, I haven't been presenting as female in real life yet. I'm just taking things one step at a time. Going all the way with FFS and SRS would be a possibility for me, although first I have to figure out what my ultimate goals are. I like to be female in social situations, but I think being a male in professional situations is an advantage.

when i was about 7 or 8 years old, i had already known for quite some time that i loved being a girl. i didnt know that it was transgenderism, and i didnt know that there was anyone else like me. but i knew that i loved dressing up, and i loved it when all the people who saw me would use female pronouns with me Without Asking(!) and all of that. at any rate, when i was about that age, i found this book of short stories. and one of these stories spoke to me like no other story ever had. it was about a child, who was raised androgynously...and hir adventures in childhood, and in life. now this story doesnt speak just to transgender people i think....the author probably did…

  6. Sunnivie Brydum, August 06 2012 4:00 AM ET "Olson believes that current research looking for a “gay gene” is searching in the wrong place. Rather, Olson contends, sexual orientation is determined by brain hemisphere dominance. Most men are left-brain dominant, whereas most women are right-brain dominant. Seizing on the implication that “most” necessarily excludes some people, Olson wondered what happened when brain dominance was reversed from the standard. "After reviewing a large collection of scientific literature, Olson hypothesized that when a man is right-brain dominant or a woman is left-brain dominant, that person will be gay or lesbian." -advocate.com New …

I was just sitting at work (in 'boy' mode) thinking about all of the little things that bug me about it, and it occurred to me that it might be fun to turn my petty aggravations into a 'top 10 - what I hate most about not being full time' list. Please feel free to add your own issues to the list (or old issues if you are now full-time). =) I'll start with mine: THE TOP 10 THINGS I HATE(D) ABOUT NOT BEING FULL TIME ======================================== 10. Driving to work, only to find that I still have finger nail polish on, and having to stop at the drug store to remove it before showing up. 9. As you know I am a gg. I envy the women I see out in the stores and workplaces that can get away with wearing really cool and stylish heels. Problem is I am 5'9" and i don't have itty-bitty feet. Size 10 to be exact. I feel like a lumbering giant in heels, and I wish i could just get over it. Why shouldnt I be able to wear really cool, like leopard print high heels. Dammit, i am missing out on some fun here. My question for the taller ladies, do you have the same feeling I do when you wear heels? My husband says 'just wear them if you like them', but i dont like looking like an awkward giant either. Last time I went to Kohl's wearing 2 inch heels, I had 2 shorte…

Hello everyone! As long as I can remember, I've felt like I was female in a male body. However, for many reasons, I have decided against transitioning; I've decided it's just not for me. I've decided I can accept being female in a male body. Does anyone else here feel as I do? (If so, you might want to check out my site: http://www.geocities.com/girlinside123/)

Hi all. I am a transman living in a small community. Ever since I came out..4 years ago...I have lived in isolation. My family has let me go...and friends have let me go. I am tired of living in isolation. I am tired of dealing with the discrimination I get in the workplace and with my neighbors. I could use some support amd contacts. And it seems like every support group I have talked to....no one else is dealing with this 'outcast...isolation' stuff. If anyone can relate I would appreciate hearing from you.

I just went thru a 6 day v-eeg test to find the cause of : lack of restful sleep, staring spells, involuntary trembling, teeth grinding, and other problems. stress siezures are very real and show normal on e.e.g's they have to be seen happening. The cause of course is stress. our lives as transgenders have potential for some stress. good news, these siezures can stop when the stress level goes down. they can be medically controled. some effects: migrains, ibs, fatique, confussion, memory loss, Some psycoligits are not trained to handle this so one may have to be found. all of this is from my notes during my hospital stay last week. i thought it may be helpful. most …

In talking to my 85 year old dad today, he told me how he is being billed for big medical expenses and how his landlord is looking to increase his rent. I told him, that is nothing but elder abuse. He is a veteran. They should not be harrassing him. And i told him " You have always been a warrior( my Dad is full blood abenaki). Well now i am the warrior. And I told him not to worry. I will take care of it. Over my dead body will I allow anyone to take advantage of my Dad.

  14. Well, we all pass throu life wondering about this life we were born into, it never seams easy, its always a struggle, it throws us curve balls, sadness seams to dominate our days, ignorant people surround us, there never seams to be enough time, it all zips by or creeps along, we dont fit in, you can never find that happy moment or place, we feel to heavy or to thin, we are all in but life just seams to be standing on the side lines. Well, what can you do about it, I am still in this game but I keep striking out. I have come to understand that no matter what we all do nothing matters, at the end of the day tomorrow brings another inning, is it insinsanity to keep steppi…

TRIGGER WARNING: DISCUSSION OF EATING DISORDERS Hi! Lately I’ve been doing a lot of pro-ana searches. I haven’t been able to find much support for eating disorders and transgender people. This is the first time I think I may be aware of it before it really becomes a problem, before I may need hospitalization and treatment. Sometimes when I don’t eat it takes an intervention before I acknowledge that I am becoming ana again. Have I been eating or not eating? I think I’ve been eating but there have been lots of remarks from people who care about me about how thin I’m getting and sometimes they ask me if I eat at all. Am I fat or thin? I don’t know anymore. If there ar…

It's probably the most common and challenging questions we ask ourselves. I know I do, over and over. Recounting all those past feelings, thoughts, and experiences to answer yet again, yes. I must be. I've had it confirmed by my mental health therapist, gender therapist, and so many other lay people. I recently came across this well-written post that I need to tattoo into my consciousness: from Natalie Reed, The Null HypotheCis Here's another post from her that came after the Null Hypothesis, and is equally excellent: How Do I Know If I’m Trans? The bottom line(s): - There are no "binaries" or certainties in transgender any more than there are for cisgender; - Most…

TG names are very personal choices that we (TG's) make to identify our selves to each other and often to the world at large. Many of the name choices have poignant, or happenstance or humorous beginnings. It would be fun to hear how you chose your name or how it was bestowed upon you. My "Manly Man" name is Leo (which I intensely dislike), my en'femme) name is Loe' (Lowee) Muir. Loe was a serendipitous accident. Our beloved telephone service provider transposed letters in my first name in the local telephone directory. Soon I began receiving bulk mail addressed to Loe'. I found the name to be fun and it fits well. I am a Californian and a long distance backp…

  18. People have always questioned my sexuality, but I thought they were crazy because I have always been attracted to females. I am now coming to the conclusion that inside I feel like a woman inside. However, is it normal to feel like a woman and still be attracted to women? If so does that make me a lesbian? I think that it is odd but it all makes sense at the same time. I have always enjoyed lesbian love stories and had felt very connected to the characters. Is it even possible to be and transgendered female and have a lesbian relationship? I hope this isn't a stupid topic.

Hello everyone, I'm new this site and have a question that I hope someonecan answer for me, I have yet to even get a response. My question is this, when breasts begin to grow, does the pec muscle start to deconstruct? I have a void behind my nipple that used to be muscle, the void has filled with buds. I might have wrongly assumed that I would be able to control some of my breasts jiggle because the fat had built up around my pec. But now, the void in the pec muscle is MUCH larger (less muscle), and it continues to fill with buds. Will the pec muscle go away completly, leaving me with just fat and tissue? Any advice would be great.

I have a question that I'd like to throw out to people for feedback, though I think I already have my answer. Since I'm still quite early in transition, I've had an internal debate going on over what I would do if I get a job interview (I'm looking around). Do I go as I am, or do I do a little en homme? I feel like I should go as i am (professionally of course!). If I get the job I'll have to do that, so I might as well start off with it, and it's better to know upfront if it's a problem. So that might be my answer, but if anyone has any thoughts I'd certainly appreciate it xoxo Christie

This is partially a question for GirlInside because I imagine this is all made much harder by an active decision not to transition. I'd be interested to hear what anyone has to say though. Ok, so you've told your friends and people close to you that you're trans. No one's blown up at you, everyone's been very supportive, given you the pat on the back for your self-discovery and being courageous enough to talk about it. (Well, that's been my experience so far.. haven't hit my family yet ) Now what? Here's what the effect has been on my relationships with everyone: people are a little weird talking about some topics now because they're afraid they'll offend me. …

I use them as a resource for support, information and possibly guidance. I absolutely love it. It is fabulous to see all the information on the net.
