I was wondering if someone could help me get started. I would like to have top surgery but dont know where to start. I dont consider myself transgendered but i also dont consider my self male or female. I was born female and would like to have top surgery but i dont want to go any further than that. I live in the san fransisco bay area and dont know what surgeons to talk to, if i have to go through years of therapy before i will be allowed to have surgery. please give me any info you may have. :blink:

Hi everyone. Been a long time since I have posted. Been working hard at making my transition work. Writing because I am feeling overwhelmed. I have so many things I need to take care of to stay in good health, and can't find a way to make it all work. I am so tired of working a job where i consistently face discrimination, tired of dealing with the same in my neighborhood, and tired of not being able to come up with a constructive way out! I try my best to be a good, honest, hardworking person. Seems these days, that don't count for much. I dare say that prisoners in solitary confinement have more freedom than I do. A day does go by that I read of another transgender woman killed. Brazil has the most trans murders followed by Mexico then the United States. With the increased visibility and many ordinances for trans people becoming law, the vitriol and violence has been wratcheted up a few notches. I am wondering how much feminization in your face occurred for transsexuals, especially those in their forties to fifties, using estrogen, without factoring in the use of feminine make-up. Was the feminization, if any, noticeable to you and others? I have not noticed any facial feminization purely from using hormones. Perhaps by belated start, at fifty-seven before beginning use of hormones, largely explains this.

So after many years of wanting to do this I have started my transition one year ago and in the next few days ill be going to see a person that well let me take my hormones to go anther step farther into becoming the woman I was always wanted to be. But I am concerned about the effects that it will have on me and if they well even let me go father into my transition.. I am new to this kind of thing posting and wanting feed back.. But the thing is I am in my early 30s and for reason unknown to me I feel like I am starting so late and wont have time to transition before I am old. Hello All, Before I ramble, being this is about some events the past few days, I'm wondering if this is an OK place to post, or is there a more appropriate area? I've taken a few steps, it's a start. I am a male who has just started a relationship with a trans girl. Just for the sake of clarity: she is a genetic male who CD's now but is about to start on hormones and identifies as a female. Finally the athletic community is addressing the issue of transgender athletes. As a transgender woman most of the time I run in my women athletic clothing. I have take herbals for over three years now and now need to wear a bra and have a softer trim body that fits well in women's cut sports wear. I actually almost look funny in men's cut sports wear. ----- this discussion focus will be on the social and acceptance aspects of the transgender athlete. In my case I never expect to finish SRS but I do feel like more like a woman athlete and do wish to complete at least as non-binary in future sporting events.

For most of my life as a transgendered person I have definitely preferred wearing dresses or blouses with skirts. I wanted to dress as feminine as possible and I usually felt more sensual, as well as more sexy, when wearing a dress or short skirt than when wearing feminine pants. This may have also been partly a reaction against perceiving, as a male, I was supposed to wear pants, not dresses, blouses and skirts.
