I am going to the cosmetic surgeon monday at 2:30 to get Juvederm injections in my upper lip. It lasts 4 to 6 months and promises to give me a kissable pouty mouth. I'm in my fabulous 40's and I'll be damned if I'm going to spend the next 50 years of my life with no upper lip. If I have a 'trout pout' you will see one angry freemouse monday evening. I am nervous and praying that I dont turn out like the cat lady, see below. This aint me, it's catlady.

Hello everyone here. I just had a question I had to get off my chest. Has anybody here ever woke up in the morning with anxiety or even high levels of anxiety? I had that happen to me over the weekend. They were gender related. Its like when I wake up every morning I am having a battle within myself. I have periods of denial and frustration. A piece of me denies being trans and fights to be male for the sake of being normal. But the real me always battles that side to myself. Its a real crappy way to start the morning. I just want to know has anybody have or use to go through this? If so how did you manage? Thank you for your input everyone. Love you all.

I just got home from my 2nd Appointment, he said hes pretty much convinced that I'm TG(ie i didn't go running out of his office screaming when he told me the list of health problems going on hormones can bring) but I still have to see him for 3 - 6 months before he can legally send me to someone to get HRT

I am going to say less and listen more on this one I am posting. I am becoming more comfortable in public situations, especially with friends, but 3 times in the last month I have had car trouble, twice where I was towed off the road, and a few times needing to deal with auto repair shops. Each time I was not completely feminine as I did not have make-up and was dressed conservatively. I am starting to really fear those unknown times when I may find myself face to face with people that will probobly recognize me as a man and discriminate me in an unknown matter even to myself. Some situations you just cannot walk away from. Until I am more confident I really fear th…

Earlier i , did job applications No big deal Right? (i at least did close 30 all with annoyed frown painted along my face.) But i noticed some thing only a transsexual would see as a appealing blessing .EEO ( Equal Employment opportunity) For those who don't know (or just don't live in America ) it allows the option not to disclose your gender identify or race if it bothers you. For most of them of I chose not identify (because intend to save up money for surgery with what ever job thats in my future). Except for one of the applications i intentionally did twice with the same name, same resume except one i choose not identify, and other i put as male (Both ha…

I've been thinking about Tuesday now since Yesterday, ( Sunday ) when I was sitting in for our receptionist at the host church which will hold our local TDOR. I spoke to several people in the church who had no idea of what it was to be one of us , transgendered . I explained to one lady who was denied Pierced ears until she was 38 ! I said , "see, you're now living out you're life as you want. " She questioned me again . I explained to her how in Virginia at least , Electro Shock therapy was administered to us as late as 1980 ! I was warned a couple of times when I tried to come out in the early 1970's that being transgendered in Virginia could have easily gotten me…

Someplace here I indicated this movie was coming out soon and just had a chance to see it in the theaters. I was rather surprised that the theater was full and had not expected this. Synopsis: Well done but will warn anyone on HRT for any length of time will need to bring tissues to wipe away the tears. I wrote a blog entry on WordPress on it. The entry starts off with my thoughts that lead up to what happens in the movie and how I felt coming out of the theater. If you plan on seeing the movie don't read this entry else it will give away things that are important to see rather than hear from me. Amazon has the book and would urge you to read it. Suffice to say I was touc…

I'm sorry if you've already answered this somewhere. But I'm really curious. I know you're not TG, so: 1) What interests you about us? 2) How did you find us? 3) What made you decide to look for us?

This is a transgender positive commercial for Banco Provincia that aired in the mainstream media in Argentina. It's very interesting - a must see for the transgender community. I'd open an account at Banco Provincia if I lived in Argentina. Kudos to them! Click here to view the transgender positive commercial by Banco Provincia

This is just me asking for some advice, wondering if anyone else has been in this situation, so you don't have to read it if you don't want to read some silly young person being confused. I started going to a therapist last year. This person has been wanting me to take it slow, which I completely understand. This therapist wants me to try to get more in touch with being a girl, and I just feel really uncomfortable with the idea. I can't make myself do it, I just avoid it. Looking "like a girl" in public makes me feel uncomfortable, even the idea of wearing eyeliner, which some guys do, bothers me. However, I have no problem dressing up like a girl for theatric…

Hi all, I thought I mention some common sense pointers: It takes way too long for dating interaction through social media websites, It costs on average registeration and per monthly fees $45 for premium access and full features, Response time from male or women it can take forever to get a reply or actual meeting in real world (for me its easier to go out and meet and greet ), Lastly for trans male to interact with male to link up the male checks on trans to see in every detail who he is meeting with. Generally I put all my facts straight up in my introduction page so I don't have to go with introducing myself over and over, the pitfalls of trans dating versus…

So, I've been thinking about posting this sort of thing on a TG forum for a while, but never really could come up with the full explanation of my life until tonight, so here it is. Sorry it's so long, and if you read it, thanks. The earliest memories of my childhood, I was a boy. I never thought I was a girl, I never had any illusion of not being a boy. I was a boy, plain and simple. There was no social pressure on me to behave like a boy, to play with boy toys, I just did. I loved riding my bike (was off of training wheels by 3), running around in the woods, playing army men, playing with Jurassic Park toys and having the dinosaurs eat the people, that kind of stuff…

Well, I'm thrilled to report a very sucessful T D O R service from here in Richmond Virginia last night . We actually had more actual trans people than we have ever had in the five years we have had a service . The count I observed was 160 people .

Hi everyone my name is Jo and I am new to the site and wanted to ask about how I get started with my transition from MTF. I have made an appointment with a therapist and I have read about transitioning from multiple sources but I still don't quite know what all the steps are. I am married and have a beautiful little girl and I want to make sure that I do everything correctly for them. I always felt I was different growing up and began crossdressing at an early age but I didn't understand why and neither did my parents. I recently came out to my wife and she is supporting me. Please if anyone wishes to help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I live in the US. I had a question about transgenderism (MTF). Since my middle teens, i have questioned my gender because i rather hang out with the women then the guys. I wanted to be one of them. I can understand and relate to women a lot better than men because i know where they are coming from. From time to time, i question my gender in my mid twenties because i feel that i should of been a girl because i represent them better than men. However, i never crossdress before until a few months ago when i try on a bra. it felt awkward at first then it felt right. However, i don't know if i could pass or not because i'm the only child living with my mom…

Being unemployed, I sought medical care this month from the Veterans Administration. My intake involved a standard physical, the doctor checked and wrote scripts for the meds I've run out of. It's surprised me that some of them have already arrived in the mail and have refills for a full year! I asked about GID medical treatment. Unfortunately they do not do HRT much less SRS. However, they will support me while I take HRT from a private doctor with blood work, etc. However, they are aware of the Transgendered American Veterans Association and gave their card. (website -- www.tavausa.org) Because I am a depressive, they also got me a walk-in with the social work…

Well, I decided once again to make another phone call attempt with my sister, *sounds of the phone ringing* finally my sister picks up the phone, although I was waiting to be disappointed again to listen to her answer machine. Well Paula answered the phone, and we started the conversations, catching up. Not too long ago my sister had told me over the phones that one of my family relatives had passed away, and so I had questioned her back in the past about when the funeral date was going to be? Well the date came and has gone, without Paula notifying me to attend my uncle's funeral, perhaps she was.. nahh scratch that, I know my sister was embarrassed about my gender app…

Hi All. I met with my State Representative last Friday, to try to find a way to get my gender marker changed on my driver's license. Even though I have been on hormones since 2003 and have had chest surgery, I live in a state that requires complete surgery to change any markers. She was very supportive and very much a go-getter. As i was meeting with her, we discussed how this state policy is a hardship in employment opportunities. When she found out the steps I have taken to get back into my profession.....she gave me the name of a person to contact and said...tell them i sent you. Now all I need is a huge injection of self-confidence. this is a profession I have …

The boys at work make me feel wrong. I have been friends with some of them for quite some time. Everytime I get into a conversation with them, my voice drops two octaves and I start feeling terrible. It takes forever to regain my composure after this. I think I will arrange to sit somewhere else.....with someone new.

Struggles within your Life, what in your life have you considered, what in your life have you not considered, So, here it is my dears, we at times are forced into situations that dictate a response, a struggle perhaps or simply a choice, maybe a choice that will affect another without us even realizing it at the time we turn down that road and continue on the journey through life, what out come was forced by your action, was there a good thing that came from it or was it a traumatic and life altering happening, I realize I am injecting a few questions into a large ball then to…

Been thinking about my past relationships as a man. Mostly sex... sorry if this is TMI. I find that it's not that interesting for me and just animalistic with all the thrusting etc. I've always thought the female side would be so much more enjoyable/relaxing while I'm just grossed out by it which then gets into my head and performance drops and nobody ends up having an enjoyable time (mostly for me after for a while). I'd always hoped therapy would help but can't seem to shake it as it's been a constant in my head since childhood that I'd like to be a woman. Is there any hope for those perhaps stuck in the wrong body/sex? I'm afraid of being now to old to transitio…
