Some time ago there was a link posted here to a TG questionaire developed to identify where one falls in the male-female spectrum. As I recall there was a scale of +1500 (being 100% female) to -1500 (being 100% male). If anyone could provide me with that link it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Erica.

I don't think of my being transgender as a malfunction. My malfunctions came due to how transgender people were and are treated in a society we created. I have other malfunctions due to that treatment, like bi-polar type 1 at the age of 12 and schizophrenia at the age of 24 which was a build of many things. Malfunctions that didn't have to happen and don't need to happen to our children who will become future adults. There is no cure for what I have but there is a cure for what caused it. Alex is a rather large breeder pig who lives on a cattle ranch where I've been allowed to visit the horses. He is considered somewhat of a pet there. Well, as of Friday, Dec. 8 I went to the court house and applied for my name change. The name change paper did NOT have anything on it about gender change, so I had to piggy back it on there. Where it says, "what is the reason for the name change" I put: Common Useage/life changes. I put life changes due to my transition. It sounds better to put that than to put "transitioning, FTM" or "SRS surgery". The lady at the court house said that was perfect. I was browsing this site (http://www.transgendercare.com/medical/resources/index.htm). I have a question about anti-androgens. Whats the difference between Finasteride and Spironolactone? I'm on spiro, but I would like to learn more about finastride (just to learn ). Does anyone have any stories from using either one or both these anti androgens? Love you always, -Nikki

Hi I need some advise I'm in my very early stages of transitioning and I'm planning going back out to the Job market and at this point in time I have not legally changed my name nor birth certificate So I was wondering if anyone has any advice on filling out the the Application?? How do you do it? I'm in my early 20's and I'm trying to figure myself out. I recently posted on the "I'm I or Ain't I" thread a list of reasons why I think I could be TG. It's a constant battle for me trying to decide. I did not wear much makeup for the longest time, but recently lost weight, and am feeling better about myself, so am starting to wear some make-up again. I have a very very favorite eyeliner, it is by Urban Decay, and the color I use is called Smoke Out. It is not waterproof so it comes off at night easy, but it stays on great all day. These questions are about motivation and what sort of trade-offs you'd be willing to make. (Yes, they are very hypothetical.) FOR THE LADIES: If you remained your birth sex publicly and could experience pregnancy, would that satisfy you enough to not transition? What if by transitioning, you would lose the ability to get pregnant? FOR THE MEN: Is there any circumstance that could persuade you to bear a child post-transition? Hello, I have been on hormones since November 2011. I usually take my one E in the morning with an anti-androgen and then one E in the evening with another anti-androgen. Is it okay to do this, or should I be taking all the E at the same time? Thank you, Emily

Something that came out constructively while I was discussing with the therapist today was, what exactly defines a man or a woman? Really there is no good definition based on any sort of solid, medical/scientific criteria. Chromosomes don't do it since you can have XX men and XY women, even ignoring TS. Fertility/virility don't enter into it because plenty of people don't have these functions, but are still considered men or women as appropriate. Even physical characteristics are no good because a man who's definitely a man could easily go get hormones and GRS and be totally miserable. So i go for my yearly (well 2 years this time) mammogram, and the dr calls a week later and says they want to take an ultrasound on the right to see that these 2 tiny dense areas are cysts. Of course I started riddling him with questions, he told me not to get any grey hairs over this, it is common, they always error on the side of caution.
