Was sitting on the sidewalk and seen a father with his child walking. The child was male but was wearing a dress. I told his father that was awesome for letting his child be themselves. I gave the father thumbs up for it. He smiled and thanked me

Seeking a TG Events Volunteer at TGGuide I can't seem to keep up with transgender events. There are plenty of them occurring all around the world such as Gender Odyssy 2008 and Southern Comfort Conference (both happening in the next month or so). If someone would like to volunteer to search transgender events out and post them on our calendar I will be happy to set you up to administer the TGGuide calendar. It is all web based so no special knowledge is necessary, although familiarity with the search engines and how to conduct very basic online research will be helpful. Send me a private message or post here if you're interested. Lori

  5. I was thinking about past experiences last night and one popped into my head that made me start laughing all over again. Before I was in the wheelchair, and still able to walk, I was out for a drive one day. I ended up needing gas and pulled into a gas station to fill up. On the other side of the pump were a couple guys doing the same. We made eye contact for about a tenth of a second and went back to what we were doing. Now bear in mind I was in booty shorts and a spaghetti strap top. It may have looked a bit trashy, but it was hot so I didn't care. Anyway, it's obvious that I'm a transgender woman. I can hear their conversation from across the pump as we're only about 6…

  6. Today, I clikked on a link in the profile of one of our newest members, MindOrMirror, which in turn led me to clik on a map she has on her webpage. The map is a graphic which shows where in the world LGBT people have rights and where being LGBT can even get you killed - legally. The map is a stark compilaton of all the bits and pieces of info and news we read scattered across the media. Recently, a post was made by prettyinpink1979 in the thread " in which she wrote, "...we may be the most sophisticated nation on Earth, but we are far from the most cilivized and we rank as one of the lowest first world countries in terms of education." I guess that in the U.S. w…

I've been asked by someone I've interacted with for years now to provide resources, info, etc and more importantly request others if they may wish to contribute info... this is a UK effort, undertaken by the head of Greater London Domestic Violence Project... in other words, a chance to really make a difference for UK transfolk when it comes to these issues. All too often transfolk are shut out. I've seen results of davina's efforts in DV; a huge drop in UK fatalities from this cause. Those of you in the UK, and everyone for that matter... thoughts, ideas, whatever is welcome. From davina's email to me... Quote ...have managed to secure some funding to produc…

I washed my Wig's for first time in 3 years ! Yes I did it! I am going full soapy, extra shampoo, with hot water, etc, to wash them all one by one!!! It's now a ritual to cherish the Wig's as I did loose one kit mind you(a wig, make up kit from MAC, some clothes, high heels, probably misc items ) that day but not my mobile device thank God! I do have my video on my YouTube channel & here is the link (updating soon ) to that horrific day as I had to make a complaint to manager to get the security footage. When you showar as yourself, its a different feeling with hair on, but taking off a wig, is similarities with shaving a beard in my culture, and its considered very …

ok so is it wrong of me to be always cautious and suspicious of every male i encounter? i mean i know not all men are pigs and stuff but being that i used to be a male, i know what most of them think of and want, and tend to think with their you know whats. maybe its fear cause im afraid that being hit on by one will turn out to be too creepy for me...i dont know....lately ive been just wary of guys who want to chat with me especially on my virtual game i play.

Hi, I'm a freelance journalist who has been commissioned by a UK woman's weekly magazine to write a feature focussing on young British women aged between 18 - 35 whose parent has undergone gender re-assignment. The piece would chart their initial reaction through to their eventual understanding of and acceptance of the issue. Case studies would need to agree to be identified and photographed but would be able to read and review the feature prior to publication. A fee would also be payable for their participation. I can be reached on 020 8931 1954 and 07976 228509. Feel free to call to request more information. Best, Paula Robinson

Using Estradot with herbs. Background. Began a few years ago with no difference between "band and nipple measurement." Started with herbs (Dong Quai, Kwao Krua, fenugreek, dandelion root, etc) which for me, quickly worked (from 0 to Stage 2 breast tissue, but no budding),...also focused on feminine foods (watercress, red clover, carrots, avocados, alfalfa, etc),...the result was quick, especially on breast tissue and weight distribution in the butt,...but peaked in just 3-4 months. Added Kwao Krua Thai cream,...another slight boost. maintained 2" between band to bust. Four mouths ago, started using a Medala pump,...which after a month became addicting,..…

I just went thru a 6 day v-eeg test to find the cause of : lack of restful sleep, staring spells, involuntary trembling, teeth grinding, and other problems. stress siezures are very real and show normal on e.e.g's they have to be seen happening. The cause of course is stress. our lives as transgenders have potential for some stress. good news, these siezures can stop when the stress level goes down. they can be medically controled. some effects: migrains, ibs, fatique, confussion, memory loss, Some psycoligits are not trained to handle this so one may have to be found. all of this is from my notes during my hospital stay last week. i thought it may be helpful. most …

  19. My own writing but copied from one of my blogs A question that has been much on my mind recently, as I write this I have a lovely blue dress on, black tights, a control bodysuit and black knickers and bra, my forms fill it out to a nice c cup and to be honest I feel very comfortable. Like most women my age I don't have any makeup on but that doesn't make me feel any less feminine. I have been asking the question above a lot recently. My dysphoria has never been so bad that I have wanted to take a knife to my genitals or felt that bad that I wanted to take my life. Something I know a lot of transwomen have felt so strongly that they wanted to do so. Don't get me …

I sent an email to a former co-worker and said, this has to be our little secret for right now, but this is what I've been up to lately, and then I sent her some pics of me in a dress, skirt, etc. I did not specifically tell her that I was a trans-sexual or that the pics were of me in my girl clothes. She replied back with: How awesome! She is really cute! Is she around here or is she from somewhere else?? I really enjoy our friendship, but I am so happy about your new love - it is wonderful. Does your daughter know yet? I replied back and went, um, Thank you for the compliment, but I have something to tell you. Those are not pics of my girlfriend, …

  24. The following article (which includes some video of the person undergoing gender confirmation surgery) to me shows how important it is to have a strong support system in place as shown several times in the video of the mother's love for her child. The mother was clueless when she first found out her child was transgender but that all changed and she loved her no different than prior to her child's announcement. I believe a person can go through this surgery without support but with just a single person in their corner raises the success of a happy life ten fold so imagine what the support of an entire family will do then couple that with friends who are supportive. http:/…
