Transgender support groups in the United States have been updated. These are listed at http://www.tgguide.com/information.htm Please help us keep this list as current as possible by letting us know if you're aware of others that are not listed or group listings that need to be corrected. Additions or corrections can be submitted by e-mail to webmaster@tgguide.com You may feel free to post support groups outside the United States on this message board. We will most likely use that information to add support groups from other countries when we reach that stage of site development. FEMALE TO MALE TG SUPPORT GROUPS ARE ESPECIALLY WELCOME!

So, I don't know if any of you have heard about it, but there's a magazine called FTM Magazine, I'm friends with the Editor who also created the Self Made Men site. When I went to the gender conference in Harrisburg PA, he wanted my story about being a transgender christian, and happily enough that my story was in the july edition.

I recently found out from an FtM I know that even after being on T for a long time, he still has periods of a sort. I guess it's logical that of you still have ovaries, you can have a period, but this is not something I have ever thought about, so I was kind of taken by surprise. I mean this guy has a male voice, pimples and the beginnings of a beard. What kind of experience do you guys have?

I am a professional videographer/producer. I am currently putting together a video for the Male to Female TG's to give information on make-up tips, but also many other tips and tricks to help hide male features and bring out more feminine features to make you more passable as a female. I am wondering if there would be enough need/interest in a similar DVD for the Female To Male TG side of our community as well. Also, if anyone has any tips, ticks, or advice they would like to offer to share (for either MtF or FtM projects) please feel free to send me a message. Anything that may help others to obtain the desired appearance they wish to achieve and make them more pa…

Hi everyone. Looking to see if anyone has constructive ideas for raising money for surgery. I'm looking to complete my surgery....have the doctors and therapists letters....even have someone that will go with me and help out. Just have to raise the funds. I know care credit and Capital One health used to lend monies, but since the economic downturn, they have stopped lending. I have no house to take an equity loan on, and even my car is 11 years old. Any ideas? I'm open to all. thanks.

I've been thinking about this for a while. I've read a bunch of stories about straight FTMs who lived as lesbians and identified themselves as butch (or at least were part of a lesbian communitY) before realising they were trans. I'm mostly gay. I like girls too, but guys more. And the thing is, even before I realised I was trans I thought of my feelings towards men as sort of queer. I didn't know why, because I didn't identify myself as a man at the time, but all my fantasies about guys were gay, about guys on guys with guys. I was never in them, at least not as my self. I remember thinking I was weird because my girlfriends' fantasies was about them getting f*****…

  11. This story reminded me of myself. I too "met" someone online and, crazy as it sounds, fell hard in love. But she didn't know that the guy she had been chatting with was not a biological male. No one knew. The news hit her hard, but like Kya in this story, her love never wavered. I don't watch too much MTV, but I sorta wish I had known about this show. -dml Posted: 12/18/2012 7:26 am EST | Updated: 12/18/2012 11:19 am EST It was a rare happy ending on "Catfish: The TV Show" despite plenty of online deception. Kya had been dating Alyx online for eight months, though they'd never met. And she'd not been honest with him about what she looked like, using fake photo…

I am going for my hysto in two weeks. My hormone doctor told me that I would get even more effect from the testosterone once my ovaries are removed. I should have asked him this at the time but.. The thing is I really don't want more effects from T. I've already been on it for two years, I'm stable and I like the way I am now. So, does anyone know if it's OK to reduce your dose of T after having hysto?

So... I don't know where to start with all of this... I need guidance I guess. I have a lot of trans friends, both ftm and mtf. My girlfriend is mtf, but she says she doesn't know if she'll be able to help me much. I'm afraid to talk to my ftm acquaintances about this, I guess because I'm not 100% sure I AM trans. But maybe I am, and that scares me. I'm scared of what my family will say. My parents are gone, and I have two aunts who I'm really close to. One I'm sure would be able to accept her new potential nephew, but the other I'm not really sure what her reaction would be. I ordered a binder. I've made a new Facebook profile. I've told my two best friends and my gi…

Hi guys! I'm new here, let me do a quick introduction. I'm FtM, 19, knew something was up when I was 4, didn't know what it was called until I was 15 and I haven't undergone transition yet. I've never really been in a community or discussed the topic with people going through the same thing, so if I'm a bit wordy, that may be why. So I have a few questions. First of all, I know T changes your voice and all that but I'm concerned about my singing voice. I don't sing professionally, but I do have a bit of a talent with it that I like to use. I'm a 2nd soprano and I've done vocal training. I'm concerned that if I go through with T, I may never be able to sing with m…

Umm... Hi. My name is Alex. Well, I have a few questions. I'm female. If I were to get an operation and (for lack of better words,) get a penis, would I be able to feel everything? What I mean is; During sexual intercorse, would I feel what other males (who were born male) feel? Would it be any different? Like the sensations, intensity of it, ect? Oh, and this is probably a stupid question, but would I be able to ejaculate? And would anyone happen to know what the sucess rate of the FTM (Female to Male) operation is? I heard it is a lot risker than a MTF operation. Sorry if the questions didn't make complete sense. I couldn't think of any better ways to …

So, I caught myself staring intensilly... at this guy Xavier in my Criminology class. I should have been paying attention to "Catch me if you can" But, I was admiring his body. He's tall. And Handsome. And I wished I were him.... Is this normal? To stare with admoration at a body that you just wish you had? I do that a lot. I don't know if I should have let my best friend record me saying that in the bathroom though... They may put that on tumblr. I'm rambling... Anyway. I have the buggest crush on his body, He doesnt have much of a personality but I feel like I just want his body. Normal? Yes? No? I'm so confuseddd!!

A brief background: I live across the country from my family so its really hard to have personal conversations over the phone. I rather of told him in person but that could not be done. I don't plan on going back to NY until sometime around May. So I just came out and said it on the phone today. HE TOOK IT REALLY WELL!!! I kind of was dodging around the subject but knew I had to say it... I reminded him of this time when I was around 12 and we were shoveling snow and he mentioned that he aways wanted a son. He sort of remembered it. He was so I am going to have a son instead of a daughter. I was like exactly. The next step is to tell my mother. Just wanted to share …

No matter how much I try, even in my least gender dysphoric moments, I am never able to achieve orgasm from genital stimulation. It's not difficulty orgasming - anal stimulation works. I have minimal sexual feeling in my genitalia (even my clitoris). In other words, not only does my female body not fit my gender identity, it doesn't seem to even work. Is this normal for transmen? Do you think this is caused entirely by my gender dysphoria? Do you think there's an actual physical aspect to it (fewer nerves there, maybe?) Another thing is, even though my genitalia have some sexual feeling, just not enough to attain orgasm, my breasts have absolutely none.

So, you would think after so many years of stabbing myself, this would get easier. I hate the days I have to do the T injections. Seems like it never gets easier. But hey. Who in their right mind enjoys stabbing a needle into themselves? Is there a nurse in the house?

  23. Ken Williams - SDGLN Editor in Chief, September 18th, 2012 "Before I made the decision that transitioning was in fact the right thing for me and before I came out to everyone for the second time in life, I became consumed with YouTube. I watched countless videos of other transgender men and was fascinated with their stories, changes on hormone replacement therapy, their top surgery results and just how insightful some of their videos were. YouTube has helped me a lot." -Lewis, sdgln.com Beck Rosato Lewis: My amazing journey from tomboy to butch lesbian to trans man
