  1. Started by Luse,

First off I Must say that being trans for ME was Not about a sex change or being manly. I do not drink beer, watch sports, or drive a truck. I don't even drive. When I was told by the gender "specialist" that in order to get on my testosterone I would need to engage in a MAN ONLY activity in public in my chosen gender role. So I went to a Gay Bar and hit on cute boys! I stole someones boyfriend and snogged em in the stairwell! Then I started hanging out with this super sexy drag queen and we became bffls! I did her hair and makeup, and outfits so long that I wanted to join in! No one knew I was born female and they were drag queens! Eventually I came out to …

So. I Came out to my whole family yesterday, But the result was surprisingly painful. Pretty much. for the last 17 years i've been a ministers daughter. Four older brothers, a step mother who's into gender roles.... You know every 17's year olds life dream to live in a religious jungle. So, I sat everyone down and spoke. Told them how every third Monday night I go to church... Well a church.... I go to a support group... they've been driving me to transgender support groups.... They're response was pretty sickening. My dad asked me what I was doing at those in the first place. It's bad enough that I was a lesbian. My step mother walked away. My biological brother …

  4. The perfect fit: Charlie Poulson takes next step in transition from woman to man Iowa State Daily Charlie was born under the name Chloe, and his mother lovingly describes the little girl as very feminine, with nothing out of the ordinary. That is, until she turned three and was able to dress herself. T-shirts and gym shorts replaced dresses and bows...

  5. Marsha Aizumi, Posted: 12/20/2012 3:50 pm Four years ago this month, my daughter fearfully looked across a table at me and said the words that would forever change my life . . . I want to transition to be a boy. When I initially heard her request, I remember thinking how the first twenty years of my daughter's life began to make sense.... --huffingtonpost.com A Journey of Gifts

    Started by Guest Ryan,

A brief background: I live across the country from my family so its really hard to have personal conversations over the phone. I rather of told him in person but that could not be done. I don't plan on going back to NY until sometime around May. So I just came out and said it on the phone today. HE TOOK IT REALLY WELL!!! I kind of was dodging around the subject but knew I had to say it... I reminded him of this time when I was around 12 and we were shoveling snow and he mentioned that he aways wanted a son. He sort of remembered it. He was so I am going to have a son instead of a daughter. I was like exactly. The next step is to tell my mother. Just wanted to share …

  7. Started by Hawkman,

So, I was remembering how when I first started this journey and the hormones asking myself, will I ever get facial hair, chest hair, the muscle growth I want. And realizing now, at 10 years out, I have become one hairy beast. And I love it. Yea I will say, on days I decide not to shave I probably look like the missing link. That's me. All animal.

  8. Loren Cameron is an award-winning literary figure and photographer who was invited by the University of Minnesota-Du to present a collection entitled 'Transgender Images' and was provided with a $4,000 honorarium. Mr Camerons exhibit documents his own personal journey and his work has been shown at Universities around the world. However, Critics have described the event as potentially 'offensive' and have suggested there is a better way to spend the money and that it's not the best use of taxpayers resources. Firstly if anyone thinks they will be offended by Mr Cameron's work don't go and see it. I think the money was very well spent, He's an award winning photograp…

  9. This story reminded me of myself. I too "met" someone online and, crazy as it sounds, fell hard in love. But she didn't know that the guy she had been chatting with was not a biological male. No one knew. The news hit her hard, but like Kya in this story, her love never wavered. I don't watch too much MTV, but I sorta wish I had known about this show. -dml Posted: 12/18/2012 7:26 am EST | Updated: 12/18/2012 11:19 am EST It was a rare happy ending on "Catfish: The TV Show" despite plenty of online deception. Kya had been dating Alyx online for eight months, though they'd never met. And she'd not been honest with him about what she looked like, using fake photo…

  10. Started by ChaseStorm,

I like boys and girls. I prefer boys though. Do I have to only like girls to be able to get ftm srs? I was told tha I couldn't become a boy if I liked boys...is this true?

  11. Dennis Starr, formerly Dennis Croft, a star in the reality show "Small Town Security" had top surgery during the show's second season. Starr had to endure an exam so that it could be determined if the offending breast tissue was healthy enough to be removed. The results of the exam deemed all was well, but apparently the idea of destroying healthy caused him a moment of pause. Would knowing the breast tissue you wanted to be rid of was healthy stop you from going thru with top surgery? Or even make you think twice? -Mike Once Dennis Croft, AMC's 'Starr' Discusses Top Surgery 6.28.2013 | By Andrew Belonsky
