Where to start.... I first started 'dressing up' around the age of six or so, would find my older sister or my mother's clean panties in their dresser and change into them... would also occasionally change into other items they had as well. This sort of thing just always felt natural to me, around the age of 13 or so I first started to talk about my love for feminine clothing and makeup to some understanding female friends and all throughout Jr. High and High School had regular access to anything and everything feminine because of this. In a lot of ways I feel like I'm nothing more than a cross dresser, though at the same time I'm just not sure. I remember lying …

It has been 5 weeks now and the euphoria has worn off and it is just life now. I have been very fortunate in that I have not met with any bad reactions as of yet , I have been treated well by all and have even been hit on a few times ! I am just enjoying my life now and to my surprise I have found a confidence I never knew I had . My wife is still having a hard time with this at times but she is happy for me and remains supportive , I dare say we have even grown closer and I did not think that was possible as close as we are . It is wonderful to finally be living the life I was always meant to live .

TODAY IS MY TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BEING OUT FULL TIME. I AM A VERY HAPPY GIRL TODAY. I got up at 6, went to the beauty parlor at 7, got my hair and makeup done, then I went off to my therapist at 11. Tonight I am going to a party to celebrate being out full time for 2 years. (and now getting letter #1 for SRS) At my appointment with my therapist this morning, she did the one letter I need for SRS. She also gave me a congratulations on your "graduation" card with a nice note inside and a couple of beautiful keepsakes as well. On May 1st, I should get the second letter approving me for SRS. YEA, SRS in 2011 here I come. Bobbie Jo

The title refers to the legendary Phoenix, of course. The ashes are less legendary but still there metaphorically. They are the ashes of the "bridges burnt" during my "successful" career as a Software Engineer. I hadn't known HE was burning bridges. I was told this recently by a recruiter who let me know that he'd submitted my resume to clients who informed him that they never want to work with HIM again. Now I've been unemployed more than 5 months. The unemployment benefits will run out in a few weeks. I have no savings and no other income. As it stands now HE has nothing left. Sometimes HE hasn't even wanted to live any longer and could have taken ME with HIM…

So...my wife said she'd buy me boobs for Christmas I'm trying to do a bit of research, and I'd like a little info from you all if you happen to know. First off, what types of implants are used? I know the norm is a saline implant, and silicone implants are sometimes used. Aside from the possible health risks with silicone, which of these two are going to look more natural? Also, I still haven't started my HRT yet (hopefully in the next month or so). Now, assuming I some how come up with the money in a timely fashion, should I wait a length of time before getting the implants, to let the hormones kick in? Or is this not a concern? Anyways, thanks all!

I'm just in a curious mood and can't sleep tonight. Who's on HRT (Hormon Replacement Therapy) MTF? How long have you been taking F hormones? Self medicated or with Dr. supervision. How do you feel about your HRT? Would you ever stop HRT? Even if you were told you had to. Has taking hormones changed your perspective on life? I have been on F hormones for a year and a half. One year and 3 months self medicating and 3 months with Dr. supervsion. I strongly recommend Dr. supervision. I am much more confident about my decision now. I really like my HRT and enjoy every bit of it. I don't think I could ever stop HRT. I feel so much more normal now…

Hi, I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but generally, MtF's, after SRS, what is your new vagina like? Depth wise, sensitivity wise, and does it lubricate at all? It's just something I've been wondering about for a long time and I would like to hear what it's like for you so I can get a general idea of what to expect in the future.

Well I've noticed a lot of people aren't yet on HRT. Why is it taking so long? I'm by no means trying to rub anything in. Perhaps I was in some stupid way a "special case"? ( I'm used to that. Beena ginuea pig all my life with medicine, GID wasn't the only disorder I was born with. ) I came out in December of 2004 to my parents. Received councilling and was on T-blockers by I believe April 2005. Then I was on Estrogen by I believe August. And finally I was put on Progesterone at December of 2005. Is my progression fast? Or is it merely a case of me having no concept of time? It seems to take much longer for you other girls and I don't get why? Raises all sorts o…

So, as many probably know, dilation is the major post operative pain that coms with SRS. My current surgeon started me off with 5 different dilators, varying in size, and had me on a schedule of 5 times a day at 20 minutes each session, for the first three weeks, with that schedule sliding down to 4 times a day the following three weeks, then 3 times the following three weeks, etc, etc. My question, for any of you post operative women, is that it has been about 3 weeks as of this monday since I have been first dilating. However, there has been about 4-5 days in which I only dilated 4 times a day instead of 5, due to my schedule. I guess this is kind of a two part …

I would like to share conversation I had with a male 'admirer' on another site last night (Tuesday 19th July) I had been in the chat room as usual and a male who I have talked to regularly made a statement which shook me to the core. We were in a private chat as id the norm, and he let me know that another person was trying to talk to him, he gave no indication of sex so I asked "Girl or boy" his reply, was astonishing "boy pretending to be girl I guess?" My crossdressing has always been to fulfil a deeply personal need to allow the feminine side of my personality to express itself, even though the site in question is primarily a contact site there are transwomen on…

Hi everyone, I'm a gender questioning young adult (MTF) and was wondering if i should transition or not. Since i was a teenager, i felt that i should of been a girl. I wanted to grow breasts. This feeling came and gone but it slowing built up. However, i never dress before because i don't have any sisters and my mom clothes would never fit. I don't know what i would look like as a girl. However, i have a urge on seeing how i look as a girl completely dress. I have tried on a bra and it felt awkward at first then it made be feel whole. Also, i could never really relate to the guys. My role models are the women in my family. However, i don't really have girl te…

I have been struggling with myself for some months now, part of me wants to "come out" and become known, while another part feels my life will be over if i do!! I am trying so hard to find a balance, one where I can acknowledge what I really am "A femanine man" and on the other hand, I want to throw it all away and "Get a grip", before it destroys me !! I want to be free !! though I know the only way is to open up, let some of my defences down and Love life I think I need to relax and stop being afraid of what the world, probably already knows.. Keep up the great work people. you are all so cool. Rachel xxx

I have been wondering why I get a sensation or a strong impression that I have female genitalia and/or breasts. Although I do consciously imagine being female, these particular sensations appear to come from nowhere so I don't think in these instances it is just a case of wishful thinking. In a way it could appear similar to people who have phantom limbs, being able to feel an arm or leg when it has been amputated. Some theories have been put forth suggesting that there is an area of the brain responsible for body mapping and that this body map is hardwired in the brain. I have read studies where FTM's growing up have a strong sensation that they have a phallus and/…

When I first started HRT I was told what the amounts were for estradiol and spironlactone and followed my doctor's instructions. Two months ago I went in for blood work, she [upped the spironlactone]. Then I get a call indicating I was to [double it] and that's it. So I am now getting ready for my regular doctor's annual physical and was writing down my doses only to learn my estradiol is at [a higher dose than I thought]. So from now on I am going to read my labels rather than assume. Note: I have two doctors, one whom I have been using for 20 years and the other for preparing for my transition. After transition my regular doctor is going to assume all aspects i…

Heyy everyone. I have read some of the boards and I know this will vary on case by case basis and the dr's will give me in depth knowledge. THIS IS STRICTLY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND OPINION. Are the hormones taken BioIdentical? Or is it the chemical kind? Also I see people taking pills but from my research they say that it is bad for liver and shots are better?? Opinions on this?

  23. I just had a thought that I wanted to toss around to get some opinions on. Yesterday I met this young man that was 6 foot 7 inches tall. He wore a size 16 boot. His hands were very big, one of his fingers was the equivalent of two of mine. I just couldn't help but wonder.... If I was that huge would I completely toss out any ideas of myself being transgendered and wanting to be a woman? I tried picturing this very large young man dressed to the hilt as a female. It was kind of a funny thought. I don't think that I would want to be a woman being that huge. I would love to hear some of your opinions on this. You really had to be here to see this guy.

My license is updated with and F for gender and I am finally being called by the feminine name that means so much to me. So much is coming clear just in this past week that would not have made sense without the actual experience. Thank you so much to those of you on Tgguide who helped to prepare me for this event.
