Ok I know this may sound odd but I don't know wheather to get excited or go to the doctor. I have been taking climara (patches) for 3.5 months now and the other day when I went to shower OMG my breast area was red (the shape of a female breast). The next day it was nearly gone but a day or so later and now my nipples are getting tough and more sensative if that makes ant sense. and the nipple area tingles a bit at times. So my question is should I jump for joy or rush out to find an endochinologist ? Any thoughts here would be appreciated . Thanks ladies.

I am currently 20 and plan to go on hormones before or by my 21st birthday. I know the earlier the better for HRT in terms of passibility and overall effects. I was wondering if anyone could tell me 1. at the age of 21 would hormones have a very positive effect? 2. What are the early effects and when would i expect to start feeling/seeing them? 3. From any experience, i know i wont look 100% like a girl, but assuming my body excepts hormones well at this age how well will it effect my passibilty/look of femininity? 4. How long does it take for your body to over come the "T" and really become accustom to the estrogen? 5. What effect/what will happen to eja…

Over the last couple of weeks I have been finding myself slipping into some of the most full on mood swings I have ever experienced and am assuming that it is being caused by my hormones. I have been taking Androcur and progynova and am due to go and see my doctor tomorrow for the first time in months but am wondering what a lot of you do to cope with the mood swings and the depression. Could these be caused by a hormone imbalance? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks heaps Caio For Now Kamanika B)

i know this might seem a silly question...but im curious.....can the hormones make you stiff and sore in the mornings when you wake up....cause i was reading that some gals have said that hormones affect your bone structure slightly...idk...

Heyy everyone. I have read some of the boards and I know this will vary on case by case basis and the dr's will give me in depth knowledge. THIS IS STRICTLY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND OPINION. Are the hormones taken BioIdentical? Or is it the chemical kind? Also I see people taking pills but from my research they say that it is bad for liver and shots are better?? Opinions on this?

I was dreading ever getting to the point where I'd ask this question, but here I am. So I guess I'll ask. What do you do while you 'wait'? There are a ton of things right now that people keep telling me, oh, it just takes time. You just have to be patient. Hormones, learning voice (which occasionally hits awesomeness and very rarely has any usable consistency, still). Electrolysis, weight loss, and of course vain attempts to save up some money for FFS and/or GRS later. I'm probably dumb and I'm probably doing this all wrong. I dunno. I don't think I'm in much of a position to say one way or another anymore. What is indisputable is the following: I'm too femi…

It's saturday and I'm at home, pushing the boundries of my existance! I'm moving a step closer to being in harmony with my male/female. i got to keep going, co's the conflict between me and the world i live in, ends up suffering and there-by do I. I have a wife and 3 teenage children and I've always managed with just my wifes knowledge. Now I find that as I get older (51) I have to bring the "two halfs" together; I think my own body clock is pressuring me. What with the kids and my profession in psychiatry, I can't see that I will ever truly experience "womanhood". On the positive side, I love my life, it's just a bit complicated ! Anyone got any wisdom on how to c…

  9. I've become to think I'm complete crap. I feel like people view me as mentally handicap and I feel mentally handicap somehow.... I feel like I could cure cancer and people would still think of me as bad since I'm transgender. I don't know what to do, I'm 17 and my family is in debt and poverty. I'm not sure if we will be able to overcome it and I know that we would be homeless right now if my grandfather wasn't paying our house payments. (I'm on the internet because I have an old laptop and I pick up someone else's internet connection.) My dad is trying to get me to do something with my future but I don't want to because of my self-esteem. I feel like the best thing I …

Well I'm at a very early stage in my transformation, and I'm not even sure if I want to go all the way. I gave out a few messages that I might be transsexual, and now, all of a sudden, I have guys touching me on the bum and stuff. I don't want to be overly aggressive, but these approaches are most unwelcome. Short of punching them in the face, and totally destroying the female persona I'm trying to develop, I'm unsure how to handle this. Advice please.

I have seen a lot nice and positive stories on the tgguide with getting a real woman. But not a lot of stories from those how have had the SRS transition and there life experience after and how this feels now. For me this is very important to know how many positive or negative real life experience there are from after the SRS transition. Is it what you have expected? Are you really home in your new live? I myself like to go the hole way but have still some questions on how others have experienced it and watt I need to know and expect. I think a lot of us dealing with this issues have this questions. Sorry for all my spellings and grammar mistakes I hope you al…

From what I have read and common sense indicates, some transsexuals are very fortunate in being quite passable, some transsexuals pursue various surgeries to become passable or more passable and some transsexuals know they will probably never be passable, but decide they must live as females anyway. Some transsexuals also eventually decide not to live full-time as a female and/or have SRS because they feel and perceive they can not be truly passable to an extent desired. I have wanted to pass as a female since about my mid 20's, but I have been too shy, passive and lacked self-confidence to try to pass in public as a female, many years before beginning female hormones. …

I had posted a little while back about starting an antiandrogen and what its affects are. Well now I've been on that for a month or so and I am starting to have estrogen added into my dosage. I'm 19 how long before I start to see results like breast growth and fat redistribution?

Is there any information on how common the various conditions in transgender are in the populaton. I would be most interested in U.S. population and location, I see there is map on this site but I am wondering if there is any recent scientific study with some current data. I would hope that the info would include the homosexual population as well. I am also curious about those who who never come out. Obviously there is some guessing involved but has there been any type of study or survey recently that might be useful.

My definition of sex is any activity between two or more people that involves contact with genitalia for the purpose of sexual pleasure. So if somebody pleased you with their hand and that was all, I still count it as sex. Please use my definition when answering. Specify if you want to.

I had such a roller-coaster ride of a day yesterday. Prior to last month I was in the mind that I’d be waiting a minimum of two years to have government funding for my SRS. In Canada it is covered by healthcare however there are many “hoops” one must jump through before being approved and actually having surgery. They send you to the surgeon closest to your region (luck for me it’s Brassard). As with the rest of my transition I’ve been extremely patient and with my loving wife supporting me(she’s known about me all along), I’ve done everything with medical advice and guidance. I went through a long psychological evaluation and therapy before even starting Spiro. I came …

Goodday Everybody, I am new to this forum. I have lived half my life keeping my gender-variety a secret to everyone, fearing rejection and discrimination. I pass well (pleased with size of hands, head, hair, body and feet). Generally I am doing fine and face very few problems. Only very few close friends know about my being a transwoman and they also know that I live in stealth. If there is one thing that might give me away is my voice. I have had years of vocal training, and although I do not sound like the average man, my voice is deeper than the average female voice, especially when I am tired or after giving long lectures. Because of my work and active social life,…

  21. my question is not about the technical aspects of changing the voice but how you go about transitioning it in society. i think i can do a female voice, though i cant quite tell on the smartphone recorder. i have changed smaller towns twice recently for other reasons. i dont think strangers should be called sir and maam. but once people or relatives, most who arent friends, have heard you one way, i feel (kind of?) embarrassed to change.

  23. Hi there. Sorry if this sounds like a silly question or if it's in the wrong section of the forum. I am thinking of going to my GP in the hope of being referred to a gender therapist on the NHS. I'm really struggling on how to start the conversation with the doctor. For those who have experience with this before then what did you say to doctor and what did they say back to you? Also what happens in Therapy? Sorry if this sounds pathetic. Amy

Well, I'm very curious to hear other people's experiences about being TS. More specifically, I'm talking urgency. How urgent and when did you feel the need to transition? For me it was a state of utter inactivity. I wouldn't live as a boy. So I just let myself get sick. Didn't bath unless I was forced to. Stopped going to school unless I was forced to. Eventually stopped being even the least bit happy with anything. I just sank into myself. Mum was worried that I was slowly becomming one of those people that end up completely inanimate. But anyway. That was during my early and mid teens. I'm 17 now and have been on hormones for about a year or so now. Give or take a…

You know, I really envy these girls who can define themselves as totally female and have no doubts. For me, I'm on a hopeless roundabout, male to female, then back again. OK, I may have cross-dressed as a teen and had an unusual interest in womens' magasines, and maybe my breasts did swell, and maybe I did have a few fantasies that were, let us say, unusual, But 40 years of male life has left it's mark. It's difficult to ignore these experiences. So, after a long hiatus.I started dressing again, and I joined a few contact sites, and I even posted a few photos. But it just ain't working. I've considered going out and out Gay, but this is not where I'm coming from. I've co…
