Hi,I am Danielle and a 31 year old post ts of 13 years now.It was bad at first and turned good.I felt very uncomfortable as a boy starting at the age of 5.My bilogical parents did not like it when I came when I was 10 years old, rejected and kicked me out.Basically told me I was born this way and to accept it.It hurt very badly to me and luckily there was hope that changed my life in a positive way.I was adopted by a couple,my adoptive parents Denny and Angela that listened to me and still loved me.My adoptive parents knew rejection was not the answer.I was fianlly diagnosed with gender dysphoria after that and began living as a girl after that put on hormone blockers at f…

  2. I was looking at pictures of me from a few months ago and I look so different now and my moustache and neck hair have grown back Im so sad and scared right now. Im so scared do you think 1 month of 16 year old boy puberty could do too much damage?? I started self medicating am I going to have to wait as long as I did the first time for my facial hair to stop growing? Will my face go back to looking like it used to look???? And it's a very long story as to why I had to stop taking HRT for a month and start self-medicating... very long.

Happy Holidays To All! Just wanted to write some excting news to everyone. For the first time I went over to my familys house as Kellie. I must tell you that everything was great. My two sisters and Mom all have been very supportive and even surpirsed me with some new clothes for christmas. YIPPY! On the otherhnd my brother in laws avoide me like the plaque. For the first time in my 32 years on earth I felt like I should have always felt. I dreamed for so long to be able to wear a nice black skirt suit, with black stockings and heels, like my soon to be ex wife wore when we went there. I was truly a woman. I felt so wonderful being myself. A Dream Come True!!!! THE …

I am happy and satisfied with the way my body is improving. Just recently the chubbiness in my belly is going away. My ribs are starting to show and the overall shape of my torso is thinning. This is making my breasts larger and my hips wider. I am very happy with what I want to get bigger (boobs and butt)is growing and my waist and muscles are getting smaller. I believe I have turned a major corner and by all looks of my body I will be very feminine and curvy.

Hello all! As I'm a new member here, it's high time for me introducing myself. I'm Sophie Taylor, or just Sophie. I'm from Hungary so it's the English version of my name, but it sounds much better than in Hungarian. I'm pharmacist by my profession so probably I'll meddle in topics of medication, hormones and such. If you have any questions about medicines just ask me, I'll try to help. Although registered names can change country by country, Internet helps to find out the active agent so I can tell some details then. Probably I can't reply quickly every time, so please, be patient. My main priority now is finishing my Ph.D. studies. This together with my day-to-day…

Hello all, My name is Kya I am new to the forums and enjoy reading the various topics discussed. I can relate to much of it. I am a MtF, I have been on hormones and anti-androgens for about two months now and am already noticing A LOT of changes, all of which are exciting and anticipated. I am under the care of a physician as well as a therapist for the past year. Basically just maybe looking for a few other girls to befriend and maybe have contact so I don't feel so alone. I have a wonderful network of friends, I wish my family were more understanding they have disowned me for religious reasons. All the best Kya

Yesterday, I was on a date in Atlanitc City when my phone rang. It was my mom, but i didn't answer it because she'd never heard my voice as shannon before and I really didnt want to put on the joe voice in public. Unfortunately, when I don't answer my phone when my mom calls, she just keeps calling every five minutes. So I answered and my mom was like "Hello? Who is this? Is Joe there?" and I said that it was me and I wasn't home. She said later after she got off the phone with me she felt like an idiot for not picking up on it. So, being able to fool your own mom is definitely a great way to build confidence.

I had such a roller-coaster ride of a day yesterday. Prior to last month I was in the mind that I’d be waiting a minimum of two years to have government funding for my SRS. In Canada it is covered by healthcare however there are many “hoops” one must jump through before being approved and actually having surgery. They send you to the surgeon closest to your region (luck for me it’s Brassard). As with the rest of my transition I’ve been extremely patient and with my loving wife supporting me(she’s known about me all along), I’ve done everything with medical advice and guidance. I went through a long psychological evaluation and therapy before even starting Spiro. I came …

Hello I am Kelly and I am a 31 year old mtf pre op ts for 10 years now.I always felt mostly feminine since I was 7 years old and never felt masculine. At first,I did get into my mom's closet and tried on some of her heels and pantyhose which I liked.I bgan crossdressing after that and I knew this was not enough in my late teens. Finally I was at a crossroad when I was 19 and decided on the transition. My mom was very concerned about me and I broke the news to her about this first. It was good news, she told me that she loved me regardless and saw I was in lot of pain.My father otherwise was tearful when I told him and he thought it was his fault not raising me as a boy right.I…

I read a blog this morning and went to reply to it but it was recognized as apam so here it is this way. Posted by Dee_is_me63, Feb 13 2009, 01:01 PM How intelligent is humanity really? Replying to a friends message got me thinking about it.If one were to base it on it's actions one can only conclude it's quite limited. If not,it appears it wants to be viewed that way.Whether you look at it from a logical point of view or simply looking at it from a common sense point of view.Common sense tells us that in the reality of humanity everyone is different and everyone perceives things differntly from one another.Common sense also tells us that humanity can be good and ba…

Hi Ladies, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.... So I have a question for you.... I will be beginning hormones on Sept. 4...I am 23 years old. I have used Retin-A off and on for the past two years to treat acne and to help keep my skin youthful...It is an amazing product and does wonders for your skin but it can be harsh at times...I have been "off" for 6 months now and wanting to begin back. SO my question to you is: should I begin hormones and give the hormones X number of months to help soften my skin and smooth it out some and THEN begin Retin-A or should I begin back to Retin-A NOW, while the hormones begin taking affect? Which do you believe will…

So, as many probably know, dilation is the major post operative pain that coms with SRS. My current surgeon started me off with 5 different dilators, varying in size, and had me on a schedule of 5 times a day at 20 minutes each session, for the first three weeks, with that schedule sliding down to 4 times a day the following three weeks, then 3 times the following three weeks, etc, etc. My question, for any of you post operative women, is that it has been about 3 weeks as of this monday since I have been first dilating. However, there has been about 4-5 days in which I only dilated 4 times a day instead of 5, due to my schedule. I guess this is kind of a two part …

Last month was my birthday or rather my rebirth day. Just over a year ago I received SAS in Montreal. While the surgery did not make me whom I am today, it did mark a major milestone in aligning my body, mind and spirit. SAS does not make one better, happier, more content or more together. The same challenges that existed before transition still exist. Maybe not to the same degree, but the need for acceptance, understanding and peace remains in one form or another. Physically my appearance is that of a woman, yet inside my life remains complex, some days are a self-inflicted mixture of small difficulties, and a smaller list of perceived successes as a woman. Diffic…

Okay so I often regret in my life not coming out sooner as I began to bald at the end of my college years and continued on till about a 1 1/2 ago. I took measures just before going on HRT and started to take a three part hair treatment that I bought over the counter. In a year of taking it while it did slow the hair loss and some hair grew it didn't do much. Taking the advice of my doctor I switched to a Generic version of Rogaine and instantly in a month I have a much fuller amount covering my bald area, while still there are patches its much more covered now. I have read studies in the past where a M2F transsexual on Hormones with treatment along with Rogaine experi…

There has been much talk about homone testing and the importance of a medical doctor in prescribing hormones. I agree with the seriousness of this topic and rather than talk about doctors that don't know anything, I am offering an alternative explanation for the different types of testing that may be done and the reasoning why. I would like to share some insight on what is happening to me. I am going to one of the best facilities in the state of wisconsin for medical care in madison and they have a special team of doctors who handle transgender care. I have had my blood levels taken and will be having them checked about every three months or so. This testing …

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, life’s been very busy. I’m just about two months post-op and feeling great. The post-op treatment schedule is a demanding one and only just now slowing down giving me more personal time. It’s incredible to think back of all I’ve been through in the last year to more recently the past few months. I’m finally me! I feel comfortable in my own skin … I have arrived, lol. Sincerely though, surgery may not be for everyone, it certainly was for me. As I said recovery has been hectic but got progressively easier and less pain and swelling as time has passed. I still have some swelling and a lil’ discomfort when sitting up for any lengthy…

I alluded to this subject in a comment to a topic I started in November. "The New York Times" has today an interesting, fairly long article about the process I previously mentioned. The article is on the paper's website in the 'fashion and style section," entitled "Your own fat, relocated." Fat is removed from a lower part of the body and injected into one's breasts. Some advocates contend up an increase of up to about two cup sizes is possible. However, some doctors caution of possible detrimental effects on a person's health. This will probably start to get more attention in this country.
