Hi, I found these forums while searching Google. I'm a MTF (Pre-Op), 16 years old, and struggling. I have done my homework on my condition, and know a lot about it. But I have some questions that I'm hoping someone can answer. My case is quite different than the ordinary TS. You see, I grew up home schooled. Which means I didn't have much social interaction, period. And if I did, it was with boys. I didn't know any better, and quite frankly wasn't concerned with my body. Years passed by, I was 12 years old. During this time my parents and I lived in a small community. Where I met a few friends. (Who were all boys.) And once again, I thought nothing of it, or my bod…

I am on cloud 9, I had an e-mail yesterday from someone in the local gender service, that I will have my second opinion and assessment for surgery at the same time sometime soon in the New Year. They are contacting my PCT to request the funding be released, once it is, I will be referred to Mr Terry, and if that goes well, they anticipate surgery by mid 2009. Its been the best news of my life. xx Stephanie

So, during the past 4 years have been active in the community and completing my transition, I've met plenty of different types of people, different genders, different sexualities, different races, etc. The one thing I noticed alot of was the lament of trans women who cannot forsee SRS in their future be it due to financial strains or physical issues that will bar them from surgery or at least create a situation where the risk outweighs the gain. However, I have also met a large group of self identified females who have the meansfor surgery, but rather, choose NOT to have it. I have always been curious as to the reasons, but, understanding its a hot button issue, I…

I just posted a blog entry which prompted me to write the following. I have been living as a female while still male for over a year and in that time could almost make myself look like a male but even then was addressed as a female most of the time. In that time I could talk about my ex-wife and children but what has changed since becoming female is the part about the ex-wife does not work anymore as it can be misconstrued and open up questions I am not willing to answer to some people. So I wanted to pass this on to others who may not have considered the fact that something in the past after transitioning may be awkward to provide a decent reply to if you don’t want t…

On two occasions, I have had what I refer to as 'transsexual feelings'. My journey toward the transsexual conundrum has begun. Last year in June I declared myself as a transgenderist. I felt equality comfortable as masculine and feminine. A few days after that declaration I had the transsexual feelings. Fast forward to June of this year and those feelings came again only stronger this time. The feelings happened again a week or so ago. When I came out as a cross dresser over five years ago, I felt a kinship with transsexuals. I had two incidents which may explain what I'm feeling. I was ma'amed by a man while coming out of a store. I was dressed in male clothi…

I am starting this forum because I am now at the point where I have realized some very strange things. This is a mixture of observation, theory and opinion, I welcome your input... I get along great with women because that is who I identify with But women have always seen the my outward male shell. They thought it was great getting to know me because we always got along so well together. If I change my outward shell to match what is inside then the women from before have lost the man on the outside who they thought was a man. They may very easily feel betrayed and even weird because they were sexually attracted to me before and now they wonder if that makes…

So I was thinking today (and this is probably the wrong area to post this question to everyone but whatever) and I was thinking back on my life and I thought to myself: Who was the first person I saw that I found out was trans or a crossdresser that kinda changed my life or made me realize that I could transition? Maybe its kinda an odd question but it really got me thinking. The answer I came up with (and im sure no one will remember the reference im about to make) but I remember when I was just starting in college and a show on MTV came on called "I want a famous face" and it was all about younger adults who wrote into the show saying why they deserve cosmetic su…

My Partner recently made a trip home to see family (we’re from the same home town), I chose (sadly) not to go as my relationship with some of my family (especially my Dad) is strained at best ... less then a week after my partner returned, I spoke to Dad ... it’s been over 10 months since we last spoke (almost 2yrs since I came out). I cried ... after all the things I thought I’d say or wanted to say none of it came to mind at the time. I called to speak with Mom but for some reason he decided to answer it, they have caller I.D. and he’d stopped answering when I call and just hand the phone to Mom. Yesterday, I heard the gruff “Hello”. 1st I froze ... I have to stop to t…

My son is in the other room slurping down his first solid foods (cereal in formula). It's freakin' hilarious ... he's grabbing at the spoon to try to get it in his mouth faster, and then once it's in there he shoves his fingers in to aid in the process... I think... Ahhh I live a strange life. It's a little like an ink-blot, depending on who looks at it and from what angle, it looks like two totally different things. I had some real momentum and steam built up in March, last time I posted on here, for giving up the last of my guy pretenses. Then a random set of occurrences happened. First, my relationship with my spouse developed some fractures. (Thankfully fixed n…

For her it is the best and I know for me to, but it hurt and breaks my hard. I wrote her the following message with tears all over my face. “From the bottom of my hart you best girlfriend Antoinette, I have asked GOD to assist you with help, warmth, strength and wisdom. Remember the days we have been permitted to do so spiritual, I hope we can always continue until the end of time. 14. One more step... I am not full-time but working steadily toward it. something inside pushed me to do it. I called Macy's and asked to get in touch with the MAC counter took apointment for a make-up lesson, the lady noted it and set it and asked me "for you ? " "yes". D-Day... nice lady's trousers, long slim top I am getting used to my new female haircut, hiding the mandatory earrings. At the counter, I was surprised that the make-up artist was a beautiful young man. I asked him for chosing the colors as I was a perfect debutante. M yidea was to test only for foundation and powder so my make-up was not very visible today. He not only looked but tested .…

I wonder if this has happened to any of you . I have had a 15 year plan of transition and as I have always taught my students "plan your dives and dive your plan , no variation " I have always applied that philosophy to my life and now I am the one wanting to violate the rule.I have moved slowly since accepting who I am and now that I have taken that step of changing my name I find I am wanting to go all in and get done . There are so many risks , I regret not changing my first name but were I to do so I would lose my job ( Missouri has no gender protection laws ). My wife is disabled and requires a great deal in medical and prescription cost as do I for that matter and …

One of the first questions I faced when talking to people about being transgender and married to a woman was that they asked how that could be possible because they thought I would be gay. Around here we all know that gender identity and orientation are separate matters though they are also often related. I thought hard about the female mind and looked deeper into what types of attraction I had for both sexes. I supressed my femininity so much that I didn't face the reality of what kind of attraction I had for men. All I can say is that to me I like both men and women, but it is so difficult for me to understand this myself because what I hear on the news an…

  19. Hi to all, I am new on this forum. One of the reasons that I have joined is that I am hoping that I could hear from any members with any experiences with facial feminisation surgery. I have been searching the internet however I seem to be having trouble in finding too much in the way of genuine independent reviews etc. I will kick off by asking if anyone might of heard or have had any personal dealings with a company in Lima in Peru called Femilife. I have contacted them and they have provided prices and procedural information that seem to be really quite reasonable. I have tried asking them if I could communicate with any of their ex clients and they have not …

Hi everyone! Here is a short list of movies that either deal with transsexuality or have a character in the story who is TS. There are MANY more titles! If your favorite is not here, please post its name? The above list was compiled in part from this wonderful source: TG Video & Film Directory Annie PS-- Don't miss Part 2 of the MOVIE POLL , located on the main Crossdresser Forum. Thanks!

Hello, all... my name is Danielle; I'm a ts in my mid-forties, and I have an urgent request for help here on deciding where to move... it's such a looong story, but I find myself now with a unique opportunity to go start anew somewhere... I've been stuck in OH for quite a few years now, and this place is horrible if you ask me... My own research has yielded the following possibilities: Minneapolis - There's the transgendered program at the U of M to consider; I also have a single contact in that town who has offered to help me get on my feet... but it's been a long time since I've been on 'em, and she's a good friend but with no real experience in dealing with transge…

So you're feeling depressed lately. You're sick of being someone you're not. If you're reading this and are still a teenager and you know without a shadow of a doubt that you are a transsexual - don't wait. Tell someone...anyone! Seek help. Go see a therapist. Tell your parents, a counselor a clergy...and then start the process to transition as soon as possible. This is especially true for those of you that are male to female. You will forever regret having decided to try to deal with your transsexuality and deny your true self. Testosterone will ravage your body. Trust me...do not wait. All you'll be doing is postponing what will be and if you wait it'll be 100 times w…

My wife just made a realization that even though she loves me through all of this, what is society going to label her? She stated that people will assume she is a lesbian just by hanging out with me. I never thought much about that because I have been so focused on letting go of the pain I have held in all of these years. This attitude people have to make such assumptions is simply wrong. I know in my heart the real answer but what can I say to my wife to help her understand. She thinks I am self-centered and foolish for giving into feelings that in her opinion are going to destroy us. I know my wife is not a lesbian but her fear of being considered one tells…
