Hello My name is Helene Barclay, I live in the Highlands of Scotland. I am a transvestite, a man who enjoys female impersonation. I love the challenge of attempting to carry off a portrayal of a female and enjoy experimenting with make up, clothes and wigs. I won't deny there is something truly adventurous about taking on the appearance of the opposite sex and I enjoy the collision with my upbringing as such activities were considered taboo. I also enjoy confronting societies perceptions, prejudices and taboos. Being a transvestite appeals to me as I love the mystery of illusion. It is actually great fun to be a man yet shave your legs, your chest, sit in front of m…

I am new to the community. My name is Richard. I am interested in learning as much as I can about transgender, crossdressing, and how to be respectful and be a friend/ally within "this part of the world", etc. My faith is very important to me as a conservative Christian. But for the time being I admit that, I don't know what I don't know and I want to change that. So, I can become a strong avicate and apologist. I have been poking around these forums, the tiffany club new england, crossdressing society, etc. Your council is appreciated, be fore warned, I am a very inquisitive creature by nature.

Hello Everyone: I would like to introduce myself; my name is Jessica, and I am a pre-op mtf trans-woman. I personally do not like the mtf and trans title, which I am sure many of us with this condition does not like the title too and some have no problem with it and some have had to learn to accept it, which I am sure I am still in that transition to accept it. I have always known I am a female, as far back as I can remember, since the age of 3ish but definitely 4. I did try to come out many times and try to be a girl throughout my childhood but it came with much punishment from my parents and threats and other problems, which always forced me back to being a stupid…

I live in Hawkhurst, Kent, UK and am active in veganism, animal welfare, gay, transgender stuff in general. Its lonely being a tranny, gay, vegan in deepest Kent are there any similar out there?

Hi my name is frank and Iam 23. On the outside Iam male but inside Iam female. Since I was kid I always felt different then the other males. When I was home alone I would pretend I was a girl and paint my nails/toes, wear high heels and dresses, and wear makeup. I felt so pretty and happy when I look at myself in mirror but since I was borin a male I was ashamed of myself. At first I thought it was only phase I was going through but as I got older I still wanted to be a female and I was confused. Now I realize after doing a lot of research it’s not my fault and I’am proud to be a woman. Just don’t know what to do next?

Very late in transitioning. Spent a lifetime denying myself. Finally took the plunge after I was on life support and not expected to live. Figured what the heck, go for it.

I'm 37, from Georgia MtF. I currently live in Taylorsville KY. I decide to start my transition in 2009; I was ready to dive in head first. My goal was to finish my transition by the end of 2010. It took me a few months but I finally found a therapist in Feb 2010. (not many to choose from in north GA) I also started attending the monthly group meets. After attending a few of them and see the problem everyone was having after they came out at work and home. I decided to slow my transition down a bit. I started HRT in May 2010. I still continued to dress at home and would go to ATL to go out in public dressed. I had worked in landscaping for most of my career and was very g…

I need help understanding terms I am learning as well as I need a place to discuss the feelings I am having. Let me start by saying I am learning proper terms, what is appropriate and what's frowned upon. So if I say something wrong, please don't jump on me, just correct me. I've read so much that I don't know what's correct. Where should I start??? What is the difference between transgender vs transsexual? Is "tranny" a 'bad word'? A little bit about me... I was first introduced to anal play in college by my then girlfriend who only did some touching and licking. I learned then that I like anal play. At some point that graduated to finger insertion and finally strap …

I am very excited to have found TG Guide. So many great resources on this site. Even though many are not super relevant for Thailand, your personal stories are always relevant. It's cool to read about people's journeys. I hope you guys will consider reading my story, which I have posted on my FundRazr page (link below). I appreciate any kind of feedback you might have. http://fnd.us/c/brsP5/sh/c41OH7

My name is Nathan, but most everyone else calls me Nate, so feel free to do so as well! I am FtM and really only recently came out as such. I was at first labelling myself as genderfluid because i was nervous about my normally "flip-floppy" brain deciding i was alright with my birth sex, and really, most of the time i didn't even think too much of my gender. But after a while, i realized i was much more comfortable with acknowledging myself as complete male, I am 18 currently, but since i was 11 i had been less and less comfortable with being a female and secretly hated when anyone drew attention to the fact that i "was a girl". I am still in the closet to my parents, …

I'm glad to have known the folks here that I have interacted with. Time for me to move on. The "?" of what kind of "creature" that Veronica would have been is revealed. She would be as "dark" and "malevolent" as her progenitor. A jaguar cannot change it's spots. I understand the "components" of my nature now, mission accomplished. Four months ago I had an accident. Passed out (Don't know why) and clobbered my gourd on a counter on the way to the floor and then smashed my head on the floor when I got there. Astonishing that one good head trauma can be so life changing. My personality has become very dark and frequently malevolent. If that is at all possible for a person li…

Hello, been crossdressing fulltime for 12 years now. It was after my 35th birthday seeing there was an inner female inside of me that wanted out and knew about it when I was in my teens. First was going into my wife's closet taking out a dress of hers and trying it on. I enjoyed and realized how comfortable it was to wear. Luckily I put it back carefully how she had it in there and never questioned me at first. Then I was secretly buying women's clothes including shoes and my wife noticed the changes in me knowing something wasn't right. Plus she knew someone went into her closet seeing nothing out of place. I did finally confess to her that it was me and tried on a dres…

So, first post - always hard to know what to say. I identify as MtF transgender; and I'm starting to find my way in the world. I'm out to some close friends socially and at work, although not fully yet. I hope that will change as my confidence grows. Anyway I will lurk a bit, say hi if you like.

Hey everyone:) I've been on TGGuide for a week of so but have never introduced myself. My name is Kristina and most people call me Kristi. I live and attend college in Philadelphia. I am technically a "pre-op transsexual" woman but I prefer transgender for those times it's necessary to label myself. I like to discuss the issues that we as transwomen face in our lives....social, political, legal, etc. I also like the usual things like music, movies, nature, being with my friends, riding my bicycle, as well as dance, fashion and anything creative. I hope that everyone is having a great day and hope to hear from some of you:) <3 KML

Hi everyone, my name is Emily. Born a man, and only just beginning to understand what's been going on in my head the last 20 odd years. I suppose it's late(r) onset gender dysphoria. I have two little kids, and my wife is very supportive. Together we're stepping into the rabbit hole to see how deep it goes. So looking forward to meeting all of you! Love to all, Emily

Hello I am Brittany from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Im 36. What brought me here is the simple fact that I live in the middle of the bible belt. So lgbtq is not strong here. But it all boils down to this: My husband supports me as best he can. But I have no friends to help me navigate my journey. As a result I am feeling like the walls are closing in.
