Transgender support groups in the United States have been updated. These are listed at http://www.tgguide.com/information.htm Please help us keep this list as current as possible by letting us know if you're aware of others that are not listed or group listings that need to be corrected. Additions or corrections can be submitted by e-mail to webmaster@tgguide.com You may feel free to post support groups outside the United States on this message board. We will most likely use that information to add support groups from other countries when we reach that stage of site development. INTERSEX SUPPORT GROUPS ARE ESPECIALLY WELCOME!

This may sound a little strange, especially since I am not intersexed myself. I am writing a novel in which one of the characters is a 'true hermaphrodite'. All the research I have found suggests that it is impossible to have both sets of functional genitalia. But for narrative reasons the child does have both sets of functional genitalia. I was wondering under what conditions (Kareotype etc) could such an arrangement occur. No matter how unlikely or no matter how pointless the speculation would be. For the record the child is only a few months old so I will not be addressing any difficult/unpleasent issues such as bullying/sex/upbringing/surgery. I do not want to…

Hi there, This is Ben and I'm new to this website. I'm also fairly new to Eugene/Springfield areas and would like to connect online with other intersex folks out here. I am intersex, was raised female, and am now almost 6 years post-transition female-to-male transsexual, for lack of better terms. I'm 41 and happily married. Have a great week! Ben

I've been on T blockers for a bit now, and one of my testes hurts a LOT, and the other doesn't hurt at all. Is this just the right one being a PITA, or is it an indication of something else?

I always wondered what happened to me. I had a "GID" all the way back when I can first remember. I had a bad case of TS where I had srs and all the therapy one can stomach in 3 lifetimes. I had no difficulty in passing as all my life when people first see me thought I was a girl. I had a girls voice and still do. I am in my 40s now and my life is stable. I always have been a girl. Even though I was biologically male back then, I had a hard time passing as a guy. My mother said that she had bleeding when she was three months pregnet with me. I often wondered if I have some sort of intersexed condition. Sheila

I think I am going to ask my primary physican to test me for Klienfleter Syndrome. I believe I have a need to know my Chromasome Pattern status one and for all. I need to now whether I am just mental or if there is a biological basis for my thoughts and feelings. What do you think?

For those of you who can get the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) channel. CBC Newsworld will be reporting on "The Third Sex". http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/thelens/2009/thethirdsex/ "Someone around you has a secret, a family secret. Gender Puzzle (part 1 of 5) Video description: Are we on the cusp of discovering what determines gender? The old mantra - all girls have XX chromosomes and all boys have XY - is no longer reliable. Scientists are now looking beyond chromosomes to "brain sex" and the role of newly discovered genes. By studying transsexuals and people on the gender extremes, they believe they can unlock the gender puzzle. This high-quality documentary looks at the new and challenging science of gender.

  25. Hermaphrodite - Sexuality the Documentary http://www.sexualitythedocumentary.com Dual sex is a state that seems so remote to most but, it is more common and comes in more forms than can be imagined. Brian Leonard's brevity in this clip is to be admired. He talks about his painful upbringing and the family confusion about his duality. There is frontal nudity in this segment as Brian shows us what he/she is all about. This documentary is for mature audiences and contains nudity.
