My psychologist and I had a good talk about HRT this week. Now, I am married, and currently I am very much "in the closet", so I had mentioned that I would have to start outing myself before proceeding. However, she indicated that was not necessarily the case, and that people had started HRT without coming out before. well, I had been dating a great guy for the last month or two, and yes, I thought he might be "the one". He lives out of town, six hours away by car. I finally got to watch the movie that my spouse says that she accidentally erased from my DVR, right! I found the DVD on ebay and watched it last night all by myself, well with my two kitties and my dog, but they don't count really. I loved that movie. At the end when the motorcycle guy offered to escort the funeral procession, I never cried so much even when I watched old yeller as a kid. I had signed up here years ago. But because of a wicked bad break up I lost the computer and was without internet connection till about 2 months ago. I found you guys again via twitter. Yay! So I'm Devin 35 living in tx. Been on T for almost 6 years. I have a new wonderful supportive g/f and live is stressful but good! I hope that everyone here has somewhere to go or have people over during this holiday and the upcoming holidays as many of us know from others or first hand that these times can be dark and depressing. Hello Everyone, I am slowly moving through some external transitioning and I do not honestly know where I will end up. But As I change on the outside it is recorded in pictures. I like myself a lot better as I look now moving more from FTM. Lately I have been reacting in my head to older pictures of me that are much more female and I am having a hard time. I was wondering how people felt about old pictures of themselves before beginning to transition. Do you keep pictures? Did you burn them? Do you wipe out the fact that was you? Hello, I've been reading on the net about Dr Bushong's 'Gender Matrix". As usual, tried to figure out how I might fit into the classification. For those not familiar with this -- I would think most everyone here is -- he uses a five axis system to show how complex gender identity can be. The five axis are: 1. Genetic Gender 2. Physical Gender 3. Brain Gender 4. Brain Sex 5. Gender Identity In the article, he uses simply "M" or "F" in his examples. Since these are a continuous spectrum, maybe it's better to use something like M - m - N - f - F to represent from strongly male to weakly male to neutral to weakly female to strongly female. Not sure if any of you deal with this. I have tried so many times to change things for the better. Big thing was in working to get the NH DMV to change policy. All to no avail. I am finding with all that....I am in a place now ...that...it takes everything inside of me , to step outside my own front door. So tired of dealing with, not being able to be me....no matter what I do. I just want to crawl into a hole and pull in the earth after me. I am just in a place where it takes all the strenght I have, to step outside my own door. That the only thing I look forward to is sleeping, because, there, I can dream.

A question. Should sex after the SRS operation be a factor in a decision weather to change sex, amongst all the other aspects of wanting to change? The reason I ask this is because when I have looked on the internet about transsexualism some websites say that this should not be a reason in a decision to go forward for the change. But I feel this is actually an important question amongst all the other reasons for wanting to change. Hi, I am a 22-year-old transman. I am planning to undergo top surgery in a couple of weeks. I had started on testosterone last year and have been doing pretty good. I would like to know how I need to prepare for the surgery and the things I need to be careful about. How long will I take to recover fully and when can I get back to my normal life?
