I can’t believe I actually did this. My wife and I decided to go to the mall tonight. Nothing out of the ordinary. It’s a relatively small mall. We had been there a couple hours, hit a few stores, and were at the last store we wanted to go to which as a jewelry store. I always like looking at their watches. I’m a Citizen snob. Anyway, we were in there and I reached up to scratch my jaw, and that’s when I noticed it. I hadn’t shaved for probably 3 days. I was instantly mortified. Adrianne hadn’t noticed, because typically, if I’m not going out on any given day, I’m too lazy to shave. So it’s nothing unusual for her. But when I realized it and asked her, she told me it was …

Well, after 9 years of my Mom never wanting to see me, i will be meeting up with her this coming thursday. And I am not looking forward to it. My Mom can't even talk to me about the changes in my life over the phone without breaking down and looking to change the subject. And now she wants to meet. And, it will either be a very good thing, or a complete disaster. Will be glad to get it over with.

  8. I am looking for information about having bones that match the gender you identify with and not your birth sex. I am a 40 year old born male transgender person. I am waiting to see the endocrinologist for HRT still. I have always felt like my body looked feminine but later in puberty my chest deepened more masculine. When I was first near puberty my pelvis grew wider as I used to walk into door frames for a time and had bruises on both sides where the pelvic crest sticks out. Recently I had a CT scan done to check for kidney stones. I got the copy of the scan and used a 3D program to look at my bones. I have asked a doctor to look at the images and have asked on a biology…

Do you feel that there is a discrimination against the Trans Community within the GLBTQ Community? If so, why is that? What do you think it would take to bridge the gap?

So, quick post. I upgraded to HD cable a few month ago, and, cdue to such, got a whole crap ton of new and weird/different channels Id never seen before. One of these is 'Logo,' the glbt channel. Or should I say G channel. Now, not being xenophobic here, or bigoted, but I honestly could care less for gay themed movies or shows. Personally, it focuses WAY too much on the sexuality of the roles and in turn, lacks actual substance (for example, you dont see hit straight TV shows constantly insisting and blabbing about how AWESOME and GREAT it is to be straight.) So, to be quite honest, I've no desire to watch this channel. I watch shows with substance, not an agenda. …

  12. "Honey guess what? I'm really a Transphobe!" - The Jerry Springer Show & Transphobia You may have seen me posting on Twitter and Facebook about "The Jerry Springer" show, and that I find it extremely Transphobic. In fact I detest it and I know MANY Trans People who it's affected - some who delayed transition because of fears of ridicule and the stigma attached and exacerbated by this show... and others who gave up their goals because of this show. This is for all the girls and guys who made it, and to those who sadly didn't. So - "The Jerry Springer Show". It wouldn't look out of place at a carnival... Jerry could easily stand there as ringmaster, the audience eat…

Adrianne and I are planning on taking several trips as my MD is getting worse, before I'm completely unable to travel. One place I want to go is Key West. And it's not for the sun and beach. I want to meet Robert. I've wanted to meet him for a very long time. But since we'll be there for several days, and I don't plan on sleeping at the museum, I was wondering if anyone knew of any transgender friendly places there. Or anything else that would be worth checking out. We're thinking of going this summer. Hopefully. Other places on the list are Chicago, Washington DC, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana Mexico, Bradford PA (Zippo Factory), Wyoming (Bear Tower), Monroe CT (Annabelle)…

I have painted my nails and am wearing hose for the first time in several years. I'd forgotten how sensual the hose is as it hugs and warms and cools my legs. I missed seeing my toe-rings and seeing my nails colored... it looks so natural like they should always be this way. What wonderful things did you re-discovered after ignoring yourself for a long time? What was it that you missed?

I'm not transgendered, but I am a young lesbian who has been dating a girl for a little over a year. My girlfriend recently confessed to me that she feels more like a boy trapped in a girl's body. She said she doesn't necessarily want surgery, since she wouldn't have a 'functional' penis, in her words. She wishes very much that she was born a boy, but doesn't really believe that she could become one. I always had a feeling that she felt like she was actually male, well before we started talking about it, but I still have some conflicting feelings. It isn't that I'm having trouble accepting transgender people. I always try to be open minded towards all identities, and …

A blog by Gabriel Rotello that appears in Huffington Post, October 4th 2007. I'm posting this as it might provide some food for thought and debate. link: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/gabriel-rote...-t_b_67202.html I hope it is OK to do this. MIWBJ ************************* The decision by the Democratic leadership in Congress to eliminate transgendered people from ENDA, the bill to ban discrimination against gays in the workplace, has ignited a genuine firestorm in gay political circles. It's heartening to see that LGBT activists are coming out of the woodwork to insist that any meaningful bill that does not protect the transgendered isn't worth the pa…

Ok..........I just came out to my first person ever.......I don't mean I'm gay (that too) but I mean the whole CD TG thing. No one shot me or beat me or made me write bad checks............That last part was a joke. I told my roommate. I came into the room with my short denims and shaved legs and said........ By the way........she is an ex lover. Obviously, after her response, she is still a friend. It went very well. We had a very long conversation afterwords......about a lot of things....not just me coming out. I want to laugh and cry and sob. I am relieved. Now I don't have to try and hide this when I live in the same house with someone. In f…

Always wise to reveal yourself when dating. Just force yourself to watch a Jerry Springer episode that has transgender guest on and they tell someone they have a penis and watch the fireworks go off. If you do need to tell someone make sure it's in a safe place as their manhood may take a jolt and cause reprisals. This picture may be silly but it can get real.

I am a twenty-six year old transsexual male and as long as I can remember it has been an issue I've had to contend with. I sought guidance as a teenager with little to no avail and have tried to manage these emotions on my own but that has become increasingly more difficult as time wanes. I have no resources or advisers on the subject and don't want to do anything rash that might jeopardize my health or sanity. I am uninsured and was wondering if there were organizations or outreach programs that might help me find a professional I could consult with. Baring in mind I have very little income. This isn't a matter my family would embrace let alone accept so there's no h…

  23. "Its odd that bi-sexuality often seems to be shunned by the gay community for example last year I was as [sic] a Pride in Chelmsford and in the entertainments tent I heard at least three of the entertainers refer to bi-sexuals as 'greedy'. I was quite hurt." - Caroline (from the thread "Advice Please" by Melanie) i did not want to derail melanie's thread "Advice Please," so i brought Caroline's comment here to begin a new discussion. GLBT. or, LGBT. seems the first two initials are interchangable depending on whether the speaker is male or female. The last two initials seem always to be in the same place...and as usual, the "T" is usually last tho it has become popula…

  24. Dear Friends From tgguide I have learned so much from being a member here and contributed information to the best of my ability. Over the last 3 years I made an extraordinary effort to compile my diaries and feelings and Publish a book about my life as a transgender person. My publishing of this material was not only to help other people who have the same feelings as myself, but also for families, doctors and psychologists to have a better insight into the transgender mind. It will be a great challenge to get the people to read this book who would probably benefit most. I would very much like to share my life with all of you in this community. I cannot di…

Ok so I decided to really take off on my transition and to become more relaxed as to who i am. Since doing so, when i am dressed how i am suppose to be dressed, ive been getting hit on a lot by other guys. I really do not have words to explain the happiness or euphoria i go through when this happens.Or even the excitement when you smile at them and say "im sorry not right now ok?" Its so new to me. To have this unique position on the sexual social ladder. Its very fun and flattering but wisdom is a must lol. Or youll be saying yes to everyone just because you're too flattered. Transitioning. Loving it!!
