Is it just me or is 90% of the chatroom on this website full of fakes? Last week I decided to log onto the chat site and see if i can expand the number of friends I have. I currently belong to another site and we hang out in real life and just have a good time. So I figured it would be kinda the same here. WOW was I WRONG. I developed a really refine sense of trandar since coming out. I know this sounds shallow but I can spot a fake when someone is chatting with me in no time. It's the way they handle themselves in chat and the things they say that keeps me guarded. Then they will PM me. I dont mind PMs but the fake ones always talk about how their "sexy cloth…

  2. Well, we all pass throu life wondering about this life we were born into, it never seams easy, its always a struggle, it throws us curve balls, sadness seams to dominate our days, ignorant people surround us, there never seams to be enough time, it all zips by or creeps along, we dont fit in, you can never find that happy moment or place, we feel to heavy or to thin, we are all in but life just seams to be standing on the side lines. Well, what can you do about it, I am still in this game but I keep striking out. I have come to understand that no matter what we all do nothing matters, at the end of the day tomorrow brings another inning, is it insinsanity to keep steppi…

My apologies for the whiney ennui of this post up front. I feel like I need to get it off my chest though. I'm not even completely sure where to start with this, it's all tangled up in my head... so I'll start here: I've waffled a lot. I'm not as completely sure as to the state of my mind as some of you are with yours. However, I realized the other day that if I had a "magic button" that would make me into the real GG female image of myself that I see in my head, and change everyone's memories and such to match it.. you know, parallel universe or whatever.. I wouldn't hesitate more than a second to push it. I think that says a lot. I also realized that the "full d…

  6. I just got off the phone with the Dean of Admissions and Academics and he informed me ill be starting seminary this fall. This is very exciting for me because not many Seminaries will accept a transgendered person to get their Masters of Divinity for a church. This is like a dream come true for me. I told him about my transition and the financial aid department is even ready when I change my name legally to Annah next year. He even gave me advice on how to do it effectively as he has a wonderful friend who is trans. All my life I struggled with churches putting us down and for the first time in my life, I see a church who really accepts me for who I am and they dont…

Are you able to spot closet TGs? I am, at least MTFs. There's a professor at my school whom I suspect of being a woman in a man's body; I couldn't describe what gives "him" away, but I suspect it's like "gaydar." (I'd never say anything to "him" about it, though; some things you just don't talk about.)

As I've mentioned a few times, I make up for never being able to have a childhood as a girl by collecting "girl toys"--baby dolls, Disney Princess toys, Hello Kitty stuff, that sort of thing--and playing with them. Jennifer Diane Reitz mentions on her site that she used to go out with a FTM who had an extensive collection of Star Wars toys (I think she said he was about 40). Does anyone else here do this? If so, what kind of toys do you collect?

I'm sure that many mtfs here can get quite jealous seeing other girls just so happy and carefree with their bodies. I definately do, and it can get so bad that I have to turn away. However even worse is watching a girl on a date, or pdaing with her boyfriend in public. The pangs of jealousy I get are akin to rage. It's like the frustration of knowing that I've never been in her position, and probably will not for years builds up, and then rubbed in my face. It's horrible. It used to simply create misogynist feelings in myself, but now it's gotta be just crazy jealousy. Sounds silly, I know, but does anyone else have similar feelings?

Earlier i , did job applications No big deal Right? (i at least did close 30 all with annoyed frown painted along my face.) But i noticed some thing only a transsexual would see as a appealing blessing .EEO ( Equal Employment opportunity) For those who don't know (or just don't live in America ) it allows the option not to disclose your gender identify or race if it bothers you. For most of them of I chose not identify (because intend to save up money for surgery with what ever job thats in my future). Except for one of the applications i intentionally did twice with the same name, same resume except one i choose not identify, and other i put as male (Both ha…

So..... A lil over 2 weeks ago, I lost my job at the bank. With that goes my health insurance, a paycheck, and the peace of NOT having my father up my behind about getting a job. There are still some prospects in the professional realm Im feeling out, but, this is *actually* the first time I've tried getting a job completely as myself. If anyone saw my youtube, I tried this a lil over a week ago, bugged out, and totally chickened out from applying :-! Sooo....feeling the pressure of knowing that I probably will be waiting for a career job, I decided to hit up the local mall. I was expecting to be terrified, but lordy was I happy when I found I wasn't. Believe i…

I have a question that I'd like to throw out to people for feedback, though I think I already have my answer. Since I'm still quite early in transition, I've had an internal debate going on over what I would do if I get a job interview (I'm looking around). Do I go as I am, or do I do a little en homme? I feel like I should go as i am (professionally of course!). If I get the job I'll have to do that, so I might as well start off with it, and it's better to know upfront if it's a problem. So that might be my answer, but if anyone has any thoughts I'd certainly appreciate it xoxo Christie

This is wonderful. The facilitator is just one year older than I, and three years into her transition. So she seems to be the perfect mentor. The group requires an interview, which was no problem... so next Wed. night, I'll meet the group. This first meeting will be at a local cinema where there is comunity/public welcome gathering and a movie for National Transgender Day of Remembrance. I could not have possibly imagined a more appropriate day to introduce myself for the first time in a public forum as a transsexual woman. My official entry into the group will be the following week. They will be able to guide me to all of the local therapist, doctors and …

Life is filled with trials and tribulations. Some are pleasant, other not so pleasant. Whatever lessons we glean from this trials will serve us in the future. I listened to a sermon this yesterday touching on this subject. Trials are like studies in school; they are the basic training that we receive before going on our own in the world. Afterwards that training is put to the test. We all travel on our own roads in life. Sometimes we may have to go it alone. My road to self-discovery was one that no one else could travel for me. There may be detours along the way that serve us and help us to embrace new things in our lives. We may discover that there are some thing…

  23. I found this yesterday on Medium and greatly appreciated such a thorough guide to what is known about transgender, those who argue with our validity, and sensitive and constructive advice for supporting children experiencing gender dysphoria or incongruence. "[This piece] is intended to be a step-by-step guide for anyone interested, one that fills in all the holes, reads between the lines, and unpacks the many assumptions that riddle the typical op-ed or think-piece about transgender children." "I will also provide necessary background regarding gender transition in adults before addressing the more controversial topic of transgender children." Detransition, Desistance, a…

I have no purpose here, but if nothing else, I'd love to learn, get to know and even be support for people here if that is possible. Even though I know nothing, I'm open to learn new things. I hope I am welcome here even though... And ignore the Username, I've used it for awhile now. It means nothing...

I was just thinking on my way home from work yesterday, that I am so grateful to have accidentally found this message board. It's inexplicable, but I have not felt this much at home on any other site that I have visited, and this is the only board i hang with. I actually think about some of you during the day here and there, and look forward to checking in to see how everything is going for you. It's inexplicable because I am not tg, but the issues presented here are really universal, about real life humans making their way in this world. Issues concerning fear, rejection, family, confusion, transition, success and joy and peace. And no matter where you fall in those c…
