Hello again, Since my YouTube channel has been limping along, I decided to reach out to all my old friends, family, and aquaintances to openup that I am a transgender person. The respinse has been almost universally supportive. Almost. My bother and one strpdaughterare close-minded at this point. We will see how it goes. It still feels good for me to be opem about myself. It was high time.

  5. I'm not sure where in actually terminology I'd fall and I've searched everywhere but nobody has been able to relate, I just feel isolated and I don't know what to do. The only people I've seen feel similarly are trans women and amab nonbinary people and I don't want to seem like a jerk who's just talking over them. I'm afab, but my parents raised me as a boy and I guess now that I've been forced to stop identifying with masculinity I don't feel like anything, but I'm not sure how to go about leading a life when I'm so different from my trans man and nonbinary afab friends who feel afraid because I have "man behavior". I feel like I have to shut up and minimize mysel…

  6. Past came back to me and coming out 12 years ago was a journey that was tough and got easier down the road.I remember in my teens going in my mom's closet starting at the age of 13 trying on her clothes when she was gone at work.Included my step sister's clothes too.I loved wearing them know how comfortable they were to wear.It was never noticed, put everything back the way I found them.A month after my 30th birthday 12 years ago, wife introduced me to women's clothes and it was into a year when we started dating. She let me try on a few pieces of clothes of hers on and it all came back. After that I went out with her and a couple of her friends dressed as female. She saw I lo…

Hi All New to the forum. I realize true hrt is best for mtf transition, but have a couple health issues, which is why I'm trying herbs. I know changes won't be as dramatic. I am currently trying Red Clover extract, and White Peony extract. Only been on both for a little over month. I have been on ground flaxseed the longest...over a year now. I'm confused about flaxseed. Is it an anti-androgen or an estrogen helper? I read in studies it has the highest, 800 times, more phytoestrogens than any other phytoestrogen. But also read it helps eliminate estrogen in body?? So, is it helping to feminize or not? I would like to try getting more curvier in hips …

I'm a non-op trans woman living in New Jersey. I am looking for other trans women, trans men, gender fluid, gays, admirers and investors interested in talking about creating a completely inclusive business in the pet / exotic pet industry using their unique abilities / resources. A business where you will be referred to by your desired pronouns / names. Where you can wear what you want as long as it doesn't prevent you from doing your job. Where you don't have to stick to whatever you wore the day before. Pants and loafers one day and skirt, hose and heels the next. If this interests you please contact me and we can start a discussion on making this a reality. Theres…

I just came across this YouTube video and I agree with the guy to a point. He is using just the one case to make his point which I agree with but just in this case and not all cases. Let me know what you think? Australian Transgender Athlete BANNED from DESTROYING WOMEN - YouTube I am thinking about women who transition early in life and don't have the body advantage as others might when transitioning later on. In this case she hasn't fully transitioned either. I am not sure why she even wants to compete? How much fun can it be? Are there women her size in the league? 10. I found this article and it was really enlightening to something I hadn't really thought about before. We all talk about our issues here, but now that I think about it, I can't think of any talk from or about being nonbinary here. If there is anyone who is, and struggles with this, this article could help. If not, it could still help the rest of us.

Adrianne and I are planning a cruise for fall 2022 assuming COVID-19 is dealt with. I know that in Brazil at the moment, killing a transgender person is more or less considered a public service. On the cruise we’re looking at it would take us through the Panamá Canal with a stop in Cartagena Colombia. My understanding is that the attitude isn’t much different in Colombia than it is in Brazil. So I’m asking if anyone knows if it would be smart for me to even show my face on the ship, let alone disembark for some time in the country. And if I did disembark, should I be in fear for my life, and more importantly, Adrianne’s life?

Hello, I apologize if the views and questions I have is offensive to anyone, but I don't have anyone in my world to answer these types of questions and I want to understand better to hopefully tweak some of my viewpoints. If something I say is off-putting please let me know and why because it is not intentional. I have always believed that everyone deserves to live their life the way they want, if it makes you happy and doesn't hurt others who cares if someone doesn't agree/understand it. If I know someone uses different pronouns than I try to make sure to use what makes them feel comfortable. I always felt like that was enough. Now, I want to work on that becau…

  13. I wasn’t sure what board was the appropriate one so I put it here. I know staff will move it if it’s in the wrong place. I filled out the volunteer application at The Trevor Project earlier today. I’m hoping to become a chat counselor to help teens and children see that the grass is greener on the other side of the mountain we’re all forced to climb, and it’s worth reaching that summit to see. I’m curious about any advice I can soak up from members here. Anyone who has done this kind of thing in the past (or currently) I’m all ears. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee I will be accepted. But here’s hoping.

Hi all, I just had my initial orientation for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I'm very curious about the emotional / mental aspects of it. With a bit of luck I'll be starting HRT in 2 - 3 weeks from now. I'm super excited but also nervous. Can anyone tell me how they felt when they started HRT? Nervous to start it? How did the hormones make you feel? What were the changes you noticed? I was so happy during the informed consent process that I didn't know to laugh or cry. So I did both.

Please note: This is long. and it rambles, and it likely draws the wrong conclusions. I'm sharing it with all you lovely people because I think clearer when I'm writing for an audience rather than just myself. My intention is to not invalidate anyone's experience, but to put my own into context. I love you all. - Dezzy I've mentioned in a couple of threads that I'm just coming to my identity. It's very confusing and I don't have the language I need to express myself cleanly. But that's what our community is for isn't it? To help people coming into this new knowing of themselves to express themselves and understand better. I came of age in the eig…

I'm asking this of everyone, regardless of age. If you came out fully, and told your parents, how did they react? I haven't come out to anyone, but that's because I cut them out of my life. So there's no one to come out to other than my wife, which I did several years ago. I've been in full transition for 3½ years now. She has supported me all the way, and says she has the best of both worlds now. Someone who has insight to a male mindset, and a female mindset. But she's still not my mother or father. My sperm donor (AKA father) died in 2000 thankfully. As far as I know my egg donor (AKA mother) is still alive. She knows I'm bisexual, but to my knowledge has no idea …

I was reading through some of my old posts, and some other responses from members before I came here, and noticed something. A lot of people come here, and claim that we're wrong. That what's between our legs is it, and there is no other option for us. Some are seeking to learn, but most are not. They are close minded and don't believe in anything other than the binary definition of gender. Penis=man vagina=woman. No other options, no changing it. That's not right, as we all know. They would ask things like "So if I identify as a socket wrench, that makes me a socket wrench?" Ok, if you want to act like an idiot and be insulting I can do the same back to you. To correct y…

I don't know if this is the right board for this or not, but I'm popping it here. We all know what cis means. Someone who identifies with the gender they were born as. But I'm curious as to where the term came from. Is it an acronym? Is it something that just popped out of someone's mouth one day and caught on? Is it an old word that I, for whatever reason, just can't find in the dictionary? This has been bugging me for a while. Is there someone that can enlighten me?

  24. I was thinking about past experiences last night and one popped into my head that made me start laughing all over again. Before I was in the wheelchair, and still able to walk, I was out for a drive one day. I ended up needing gas and pulled into a gas station to fill up. On the other side of the pump were a couple guys doing the same. We made eye contact for about a tenth of a second and went back to what we were doing. Now bear in mind I was in booty shorts and a spaghetti strap top. It may have looked a bit trashy, but it was hot so I didn't care. Anyway, it's obvious that I'm a transgender woman. I can hear their conversation from across the pump as we're only about 6…

In early January I was invited to present a speech at a local medical center to about 25 resident and non-resident MDs. I worked so hard to make it a good one. I read a great book about TED Talks, spent several hours creating a draft, and presented it to a couple of girlfriends who provided helpful feedback that resulted in a complete do-over. More hours. But it paid off. I had a wonderful time speaking to them and after, answering their questions. They gave me a standing ovation! Wow, how cool is that. Here's the script: I’m 63 years old, assigned male at birth, retired, and started my gender transition in mid-2017. I’ve been married twic…
