So, quick post. I upgraded to HD cable a few month ago, and, cdue to such, got a whole crap ton of new and weird/different channels Id never seen before. One of these is 'Logo,' the glbt channel. Or should I say G channel. Now, not being xenophobic here, or bigoted, but I honestly could care less for gay themed movies or shows. Personally, it focuses WAY too much on the sexuality of the roles and in turn, lacks actual substance (for example, you dont see hit straight TV shows constantly insisting and blabbing about how AWESOME and GREAT it is to be straight.) So, to be quite honest, I've no desire to watch this channel. I watch shows with substance, not an agenda. …

"There are three passages one from god in the old testament, one from Jesus in Mathew and one in Act's when the holy spirit directed Philip to teach and baptize a eunuch. Be armed with this when people confront you with 'it's against my religious upbringing'." -Kellibusey, Post #11 of the thread "refused business at salon." i'm not familiar with the passages that kelli has sited above so maybe i need to go do a little reading, but i have to wonder why philip had to be told he should teach and baptize a eunuch (i'm assuming it might have had to do with some stigma attached to eunuchs at the time). and i don't really see where this is applicable to [trans]women. the r…

Recently my son remarked to my wife that she wears the pants now while I wear the skirts. I take that as a compliment.

I know this issue has been brought up here from time to time. In my 13 years of transitioning I have always dated transwomen. It always ends up the same way. My being told I am to masculine, and can we still be friends? The last transwomen I was in relationship with was long distance. I always called, sent her flowers and took the 500 mile ride to see her when I could. But it wasn't enough . I have looked at the trans dating sites out there and they really turn me off. Al this sexuality stuff. Is there any place to find real people?

I was physically and/or sexually attracted to very few females during my teens, twenties and thirties. Since I considered myself a male to female transsexual at about age 40, especially in my 50's, I have been physically and sexually attracted to far more females than when i was younger. However, the strongest effect of seeing an attractive genetic female is not a desire to have sex with her, but a very intense desire and wish I could be as pretty, feminine and sexy as her. When I see a woman with a very nice, feminine figure, especially with large female breasts and a noticeable female rear, I very strongly wish I had such a lovely female figure, especially with …

I really really really don't mean any disrespect. I'm not calling anyone a coward. I don't mean to advocate any politcal action. <--- That's my disclaimer. In short: I can't. I refuse. I resist. I spent too much time worrying, about what everyone else thinks, to leave any of *my* places just because my prior history there is "as a man." The people in my life will either comply with their obligations based on our shared social contract (lubricated by my very polite and respectful behavior) or suffer the consequences. The exact nature of these consequences will depend greatly upon the nature of my relationship to the person in question, but will be there …

I'm sure many of you have seen or even participated in a "womanless" beauty pageant. The "femulate site" has many in depth looks at some of the best pageants. Just Google it and look around on the site. In addition have you've seen any of the Japanese TV shows that dress high school boys as real attractive girls? Very impressive! We will never see a TV show (no pun intended) in this country like it! You have to sort through the "not so good" with the American shows to find the contestants who have either worked hard at being a girl or have a lot of practice! Maybe Mom wanted a daughter? Well she got a pretty darn good looking son for these pageants. All of this brin…

"Honey guess what? I'm really a Transphobe!" - The Jerry Springer Show & Transphobia You may have seen me posting on Twitter and Facebook about "The Jerry Springer" show, and that I find it extremely Transphobic. In fact I detest it and I know MANY Trans People who it's affected - some who delayed transition because of fears of ridicule and the stigma attached and exacerbated by this show... and others who gave up their goals because of this show. This is for all the girls and guys who made it, and to those who sadly didn't. So - "The Jerry Springer Show". It wouldn't look out of place at a carnival... Jerry could easily stand there as ringmaster, the audience eat…

Adrianne and I are planning on taking several trips as my MD is getting worse, before I'm completely unable to travel. One place I want to go is Key West. And it's not for the sun and beach. I want to meet Robert. I've wanted to meet him for a very long time. But since we'll be there for several days, and I don't plan on sleeping at the museum, I was wondering if anyone knew of any transgender friendly places there. Or anything else that would be worth checking out. We're thinking of going this summer. Hopefully. Other places on the list are Chicago, Washington DC, San Diego Zoo, Tijuana Mexico, Bradford PA (Zippo Factory), Wyoming (Bear Tower), Monroe CT (Annabelle)…

One of my transgender friends explained to me why I was often frowned upon because of my clerical errors. A "he" slipped into a forum or private message by mistake is enough to hurt someone's feelings without meaning to. But where does this 'he' come from? Before my friend explained, as far as I was concerned, as long as the person hadn't made their complete transition, I tried to say "she" to please them because I thought they were a crossdresser. ERROR! ! A serious mistake that I now know hurts. I now know that a person at the start of a transition process is already a woman trapped in a man's body. The problem is that this isn't written on her face …

I’ve had many occasions when I just thought, this is not going to be easy so I tried to go back and just be a male. I’ve spoken to several people who have had the similar doubt. Each time finding out the same thing, I can’t go back. I could fake it, but it doesn’t feel right. No matter how many times I’ve tried to put it out of my mind and out of my life I’m not even fooling myself. Therapy has helped a great deal and I know now that I’m on the right path and as hard as it may be I’m going to continue my journey. I suppose I just wanted others to know that this almost certainly happens to everyone and with time and help you’ll choose the appropriate path.

I have painted my nails and am wearing hose for the first time in several years. I'd forgotten how sensual the hose is as it hugs and warms and cools my legs. I missed seeing my toe-rings and seeing my nails colored... it looks so natural like they should always be this way. What wonderful things did you re-discovered after ignoring yourself for a long time? What was it that you missed?

Hello my name is Ariana (or at least I think I want it to be) I am AMAB 30 years old and think I am experiencing gender dysphoria. I struggle because I have a lot of repressed memories from my childhood. The first time I can remember experiencing wanting to be a girl physically was when is was 10 years old although I have glimpses of a memory of being younger and remember my conservative Christian grandmother saying something to me (I can’t remember what) that makes me feel sick to my stomach but it’s such a distorted memory it’s hard for me to tell if it ever happened. When I was 10 the Scooby Doo movie. There is a scene where Fred’s soul gets trapped in Daphne’s body. I…

While I use the phrase "a woman in a man's body" for myself, I find that, in reality, this is not entirely accurate, because I feel more like a middle-school-age girl (that's about 12-14, for those of you who live in other countries) in an adult male body. I have heard of others like us who feel this way; they blame it on never having gone through a proper puberty. Does anyone else here feel as I do? If this is a common thing (as I suspect it may be), does anyone have any info on the phenomenon?

Hi all. In the past weeks, I have been getting numerous calls and e-mails from people I thought were my friends...my supporters. They have been calling, asking for my help dealing with tax issues. (I used to work as a CPA). Anyway, today, I sent them a message asking for their support. I have a big meeting on Friday....one that could change my life. One that will either propel me forward or leave me letting go of everything. And, no response...except for one. This person said....I am to tired to answer your question and I still need help with my taxes. So much for having a support system. I am still trusting that Fridays meeting will propel me to a new chance …

Larry Young, Ph.D., Brian Alexander Posted 08/21/2012 1:25 pm "Science had clues to this as early as 1916. But it was in 1959 that Charles H. Phoenix and colleagues conducted the keystone experiment. They gave testosterone to pregnant guinea pigs and found that daughters were often born with what human doctors would call "ambiguous genitalia." Their bodies had beenmasculinized. "But Phoenix's animals didn't just look more like males, they acted more male-like, too. They mounted prospective sex partners about as often as males did. The prenatal male hormone had organized their brains in a male-typical pattern. "This gender-specific brain organization is vital. Afte…

As I have mentioned before, I transitioned on the same job I still work at today. Where I work nights the only people I am around are the security guards. It did take some time for them to get used to the change. Anyway, last night I was talking to one of the guards. At one point he asked if he could ask me a question. He asked,"Did you always know you needed to make the changes you made? I told him I knew from my first thoughts. He then asked, "Why did you not make the change sooner?" I told him until the year 2000,being from small town New England, I didn't know it was possible. We had a great talk. He asked very respectful questions and was very interested in b…

I am looking for insight. information, websites, chat rooms (any) that you know of in relationship to marriage, affairs, sex, dating, between a MtF transgender and a normal male. I mean any tidbits, paragraphs, insight, experiences, websites or chatrooms where I can find out what I can expect in the area of marriage, affairs, sex, dating, between a MtF transgender and a normal male. OR the probabilities of transgendered MtF ending up in a lesbian relationship. Cassandra

I thought I would just post my profile as a hello. I am a customer service representative and have been for the last 4 years. I am very good at my job. I am friendly. I am kind and considerate. I am not as loving and nurturing as I would like, but this is improving. I have suffered from gender dystopia for over 12 years. I have never been able to afford to do much about it. I have reached a point in my finances where addressing this is becoming a possibility, although actual SRS could still be quite a long ways off. In some ways I am new to the transition thing and in some ways I have been at it a long time. I have never full timed and do not intend on doing so soon. T…

I'm asked more and more often now "What group do you represent." with a stern look of consternation in many cases. I work WITH a couple groups now. The Livingston County Rainbow Alliance and Stronger Together of Western New York. Who do I represent? I represent Erica Elizabeth Ravenwood unless I otherwise say so, as in, "I'm looking for something the Rainbow Alliance can borrow." Or something of that nature. I do not represent, or fully support, the LGBT at this point in time. The reason being is we differ on just a couple but very important key points regarding the transgender subject and how to move forward with it. The things I support I support fully. The things I do …
