Hi everyone I have cross-dressed as a female since I was about 10, Many times over the years I have thought I should have been a girl, these feelings have got stronger the older I have got. As I am now widowed concerns about my spouse who was aware of my femme side but never encouraged or accepted it has gone. My children are grown up and have families of their own. Jenny

Last Thursday evening my wife accepted me as a transgender person. It happened at a meeting at church. We are part of a task force that is creating and LGBTQI ministry which will kick off in June. Each person shared the their story and reasons for being there. When it was Louise's turn she shared her acceptance of me as a transgender woman. I was thrilled to say the least. It was also something that I prayed for. The following night I revealed my feminine name to her. I sensed that she was ready and my hunch proved to be correct. Louise read an article that I had written for an online magazine. She liked the article very much. Her acceptance means so much. There a…

Good Afternoon Everyone, How's everybody doing today? I've always considered myself a strong person but I'm really failing in the guilt department. I'm feeling so guilty that I didn't tell my wife my true feelings of wanting to be a girl 14 years ago. In fear of loosing her, I always told her it was crossdressing; which was wrong. How did anyone else in here deal with the guilt of breaking up your family over this? My wife and I have been trying to coexist for our children over the past 3 weeks, but it's just not working. Without our day to day love and affection we're used to giving each other; it seems to be more painful in coexisting than it would to be liv…

Hi Everyone, I am kind of confuse about this subject. I read that permanent infertility is possible after 6 months of continuos use of hormones. Is that true? I mean, if someone stop using hormones at some point, everything goes back to what used to be before? I guess my question is: Is the infertility permanent as long as someone is under HRT? Thank you in advance to all! Andrea

Hi Girls/Guys, Well I finally feel at peace now, I finally lost my virginity with a guy for the first time last night and it was amazing. I was so scared at first feeling guilty about doing it ( my old christian beliefs planted in the back of my mind )and that afterwards I would feel sinful and dirty. But I didn't, he was so kind and we took everything nce and slow, he made sure I was always relaxed. It was great!! At first we just kissed ( Well I'd never even kissed a guy!! ) I thought I would be grossed out by his designer stubble touching my face, but I wasn't, I thought beforehand the little christian voice that always tells me I'm a sinner for doing this or doi…

So heres my problem. i have been working so hard towards getting all of my stuff together and finally coming out to my parents as a transgender female. Then my sister comes out as a lesbian to my parents. So i dont know what to do. I feel that my mom will support me regaurdless, but my dad always complains about my sisters sexual orientation and i live with him. And i feel like i will be letting my parents down if both of their kids come out. Before my sister came out i would go out as a female all the time, but late at night or i wouldnt stay at my house, so neither one of my parents would find out. Well because of this i have gotten rid of all of my stuff (female…

So my landlady was here a while ago. She is elderly, uses 2 canes to be able to walk. Her friend who is also an elderly woman was with her. I noticed they were trying to do some stuff outside so went out to see if I could help. I don't see my landlady very often. She does know I have transitioned. Anyway, for the first 5 minutes, she kept calling me by female pronouns. (I guess full facial hair doesn't register.) But I decided to keep my peace. She is a nice lady and I am just not into being that easily offended anymore. Anyway, after that first five minutes, she looked at me and apologized. And all was well. We had a friendly, fun conversation. When she left…

Hello, I am seeing a doctor about hormone therapy. I was just looking for confirmation about the hormones because I am getting conflicting hormone regimen plans. I see a lot of sites that say to just use Estradiol and Spiro, and some sites say to use ALL of these: Estradiol, an Estradiol patch, Spiro and Finasteride, and only 10 days worth of MedroxyP. I have confided in another MtF. She recommends just Estradiol and Spiro. Just wondering if I used ALL the above if I will see faster results...not in particular breast development, but overall changes to my body. Thank you so much for any information you can give. Emily

I find this ridiculous, I sent out for my income tax at the end of January and I still have not recieved it. I called them up 3 times and went down there twice. I show them my documents that i have had my name legally changed since November of last year, and I even sent them with my income tax refund. Everytime I call them, they blame the Social Security Office, which i went to go see, and they gave me a statement saying my name was current on their records. I'm finding this really frustrating. Is anyone else having issues with the IRS after you've had a legal name change?

I am wondering, are there any places noted for being especially friendly to the T community? Have you any personal experience there or somewhere else? MIWBJ P.S., with all the heavy topics currently going on, I thought we could use something a bit light and optimistic to read.

Article contains language that may not be suitable for all readers. A Twitter exchange between British comic Ricky Gervais and his ‘Idiot Abroad’ friend Karl Pilkington has sparked fury in the trans community, but is that the right response? 04 January 2013 | By Ashlee Kelly " Gervais, most famous in the UK for writing and starring in BBC series The Office and Extras, recently tweeted a quote from a conversation with his friend Karl Pilkington which has understandably upset some in the trans community." --gaystarnews Why I’m not offended by Gervais’ trans-gerbil tweet

I've been developing this FAQ to hand out to supportive friends and family and I thought maybe it had some things in it that might be useful for others on here. I've tried to be as unbiased and up to date as possible, though I am lacking "sources" for some things that I can't remember where I heard them now. Also I've removed some personal info from it where possible. It is obviously written by an MtF, but I have tried to include info on FtMs where possible as well, since I think it benefits us all for people to hear about all sides of this. There are some links at the bottom too which, if I'm not supposed to have them, moderators feel free to nuke 'em. But they're int…

I read this line recently, written by a transman: I really like that. I feel the same way; I'm a kid at heart too, and I guess you could blame it on the fact that I never went through puberty, but just turned into a Neanderthal. This made me think of Jennifer Diane Reitz's response to a letter someone wrote her on a similar topic: http://transsexual.org/letters30.html So what do you all think? Any of you do anything to make up for your lost childhoods? Are any of you still kids at heart? I'd be interested in hearing other people's thoughts on this.

Here's hoping that pride month goes smoothly this year. Maybe we'll even get some legislation in our favor somewhere in this world. Preferably here in America. Anyone got any kind of plans for celebrating this month? I'm working with my legion on cleaning up a section of a popular walking trail. I'm not really able to do much due to the chair, but I do what I can.

Anyone doing anything in particular to celebrate our month? I probably won't unless it's something here at home. We've had several hundred (yes HUNDRED) shootings this year already, and I'm scared to do anything outside my home for fear of getting shot. Things like rallies, parades, and whatnot. I want to make the most of it this year, but I'm also scared. If anyone has a celebration, save me a burger or hot dog. Great, now I want a BBQ cheeseburger.
