Wouldn't it be nice if transitioning could be as easy as walking into a costume shop? I was looking over the requierements for srs and was about ready to poo on the floor. I know what I want to do already. Replace the annoying dangler with something more comfertable that doesn't fall out of my panties. So, I have to get two schrinks to agree? "Yup this one shoulda been a girl years ago". I've gotta get hair removal? Then, if I still have enough money, pass the physical and didn't die of old age, maybe I'll get it done? My goodness. I'm just about ready to tie a rubber band around it like they do with goats. - Virginia -

I am currently in Disney World living completely as a woman full time in every situation for almost two weeks. My license is updated with and F for gender and I am finally being called by the feminine name that means so much to me. So much is coming clear just in this past week that would not have made sense without the actual experience. Thank you so much to those of you on Tgguide who helped to prepare me for this event. This is a general schedule that I followed to reach this point in my life I thought I would share to help those who need help. 1. Read other peoples stories see similarities to my own and realize that I am not alone. I am not the first to go …

Okay, here's the scoop. All my life I have hated my penis and only wanted a vagina. I have never cross-dressed. My only dream is to have a vagina. I have no great desire to wear dresses or look feminine. But having a vagina is a deep seated desire going back to my pre-teen years. 50 years of life hating your penis every single day, but keeping your feeling hidden under a rock for fear of ridicule and persecution. Only now, bring my feelings to light and dealing with them. In a perfect world, I would have SRS and remain in my male body, I wouldn't have any problem with that. I look in a mirror and cannot picture myself as a woman. I am 6'4 with big hands and…

I want to come out so badly, I'm sick of walking around in this male body with everyone looking at me as a boy, but whenever I'm about to say this sentence to a friend "I'm transgendered and in a few years I plan to become a girl", it just won't come out of my mouth.

Greetings all, First of all I don’t mean to offend anyone but I am simply a heterosexual male trying to understand what makes a transgender ticks. I was involved with an interesting discussion on transgender being linked to a mental illness. I was saying one that is transgender would qualify as having a "delusional disorder" because they have no premise of the reality that they are either male or female except for their thoughts/feelings of being the opposite gender. I have learned various male transgender having a female bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BTSc) in their brains, which regulates sexual behavior. Some of the people that found this out were wonderin…

Hello everybody! It's been a while since I've checked in here. Life, and my other internet haunts, have kept me busy. I see there are still a lot of familiar faces here, so in a way it's like I never left. A lot has happened in my life, and I don't intend to bore you with the details, but one major event has occurred which I intend to share with you all. I have a girlfriend! Not just any girlfriend mind you, but somebody who is taking much the same path I have taken. We are both trans women, all be it in very different stages of transition. While I have completed transition, she is just beginning. She still presents male full time, and is right now in the process…

I had an appointment with a urologist on the 25th of last month to talk about the possibility of getting an orchiectomy. We discussed it a bit, and he fully approved it! So I'm waiting to hear back about when to get it scheduled. It should happen before the end of the year. I'm so excited I can barely keep my head together. The procedure is a lot like getting a vasectomy. I had a vasectomy in 2013. For those that don't know, with a vasectomy they make a small incision in the scrotum and remove a piece of the vas deferens which is the tube that carries sperm to the urethra during ejaculation. Then they stitch you up and send you on your way. It's an outpatient procedure th…

I'm almost 19 and I'd like to at some point start this process. I'm terrified of doing it and have been visiting these forums since I was about 15. I used to think that I would just immediately start up on all this when I'm 18 and not go to college or anything, but then I realized that I should probably finish college first and get some more things in order before I start to make any drastic changes. 22 is still really young, right? Anyway, I'm like super hairy and it's driving me crazy. I have hair on my chest and all over. My legs are SO hairy and my arms are pretty hairy too. Facial hair has been coming in more and more over the years and it's driving me nuts. I HAT…

Hi, I found these forums while searching Google. I'm a MTF (Pre-Op), 16 years old, and struggling. I have done my homework on my condition, and know a lot about it. But I have some questions that I'm hoping someone can answer. My case is quite different than the ordinary TS. You see, I grew up home schooled. Which means I didn't have much social interaction, period. And if I did, it was with boys. I didn't know any better, and quite frankly wasn't concerned with my body. Years passed by, I was 12 years old. During this time my parents and I lived in a small community. Where I met a few friends. (Who were all boys.) And once again, I thought nothing of it, or my bod…

Last night I met with my family as Shannon for the first time and it went really well. Today, about halfway through the workday, the landlord came and changed the locks on the business where I work. Apparently they had been lax with the rent. I'm still not sure if I'm unemployed just yet, but it would appear that way for the moment. I have surprisingly mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I'm short income... On the other I may never have to be Joe ever again and that feels incredible. I'm not sure which outcome is the better one... On a side note, if anyone has work for a possibly laid off Graphic Designer, I might suddenly be very available.

I went to see my gender therapist today, it was my final assessment session and she diagnosed me as Transsexual and I start hormones in two weeks time and can access all the NHS surgeries too. I'm so relieved finally after all this time.

Ok so again, I feel timid to post since my last time speaking I did more than just put my foot in my mouth. Even though my initial point came out wrong, I have since realized that I hold myself to some pretty rediculous standards in hope that it will keep me grounded in the reality that, well, passable or not, my life will often be met with adversity and skepticism from others. I found that not only did my views that not BEING a genetic woman somehow devalidated my womanhood, when applied here, offended many people (and rightly so) but that I also realized much of my shame and agony that I internalized was from *ascribing* to such generalizations. Before I begin this p…

I was recently discharged from the Marines due to my growin boobs. Before that I had transitioned at 12 years old and been kicked out of my house at 15 by my parents for it. Dropped out of highschool, started college, enlisted as an officer when I hit 18 after 3 years of trying really hard to be a dude. 2 years later and this is me. I just got to civilian life. I'm in a new city, full time, haven't been on hormones for months, just trying to figure out what to do with myself and waiting for acceptance into the pharmacist program at USC seeing as I have my bachelors in biology. I ride motorcycle and like to shoot guns, I'm impatient and don't like people too much. …

I've been watchng a TV show lately about how humans evolved etc etc. This got me thinking to where Transpeople come in to evolution. I mean we must be here for a reason, if we served no purpose evolution/Natural selection would have discarded us a long time ago, but it seems transpeople have always been here for tens of thousnds of years, even in the most ancient of tribes we see trans people. Anyway thanks guys/girls for your replies, just a real mind boggler Melanie xx

I really have no desire to increase breast tissue/size (too afraid it will be noticed) but I have always wanted the increased sensitivity that woman seem to enjoy. Is there any way to get the sensitivity with little to no growth? Thanks.

Hi girls, Sorry if I am going to repeat myself a little, but I need more clarity. I am sitting in a hotel room in Beijing, feeling very frustrated. I was just told that my concerts have been cancelled as half of the orchestra is stuck in the snow, so I have lots of time to worry about my gender problem. After spending some time with Pantau in the world of queer people in Bangkok, I now know that there is a place where it is not a big deal to be different from straight males and females. Being surrounded by so many different types of gender rebels, I feel quite comfortable. But I won’t be living in Bangkok for the rest of my life. I live in Bangkok because of my work a…

Well, I've been talking over the internet to this guy on this forum I'm a moderator at about my situation. He's really polite but holds one of the narrowest views I have ever come across about gender, and it's not religious at all. So, I've read a lot about the hypothesized causes of being gender-queer but it's been a while and I need to refresh my memory. I've been using the hormone imbalance in the brain a few weeks after conception theory but, he's found specific citations of people saying that biological sex is determined at the moment of fertilization, not the gender neutral theory where sex is developed later which the theory for our existance depends upon... I'…

There is a plethora of information, tips and advice available for women regarding intimate hygiene and grooming in books, magazines and on the Internet. Try looking for similar information specific to pre-op T-girls and you come up cold. Personally, I would have lapped up stuff like that when I started to seriously consider transition, and I’m sure todays and tomorrow’s new girls would as well. I know from what I’ve gone through and from conversations with T-girlfriends that intimate hygiene and grooming is too often a self-taught hit or miss thing for us pre-op girls as we go through our transitions. Most, if not all, of the existing advice for genetic girls makes…
