Been wearing two thumb rings on my right thumb for over three years, I noticed that over the past two months or so they tend to start sliding off. Well today both slide off so I got out my ring sizer and set it to the size of the rings then shrunk it down till it was snug and also capable of removing. The size jumped from a 10 to a 9 and have no clue why. I am in excellent heath (just had my annual physical) so the only thing it could possible be is perhaps hormones. Anyone else here have something similar happen to them?

Ok I've been seriously losing weight over the last 2 months, and I've dropped off about 15 pounds or so. I'm startin to see some flaws in my figure that I worry will be hard to mask when I try to pass as a girl. Around my waist measures 30 inches. Around my chest, (I have no breasts whatsoever yet, so this is just my ribs), is 37 inches. My ribs are kinda visible now too, so there isn't anything left to lose up there. Anyway from the waist down I think I could look pretty good. I've tried on some friends pants and it did look very convincing. I'm sure hormones will only help that. However I just worry that my large shoulders and chest will give everything away…

After my last post, and reading all the advice i got (which was pretty much everyone telling me to see a therapist) i've got an appointment with my GP tomorrow. I'm a nervous wreck and can't get it out of my head, but looking forward to it at the same time. If all goes well my GP will be able to set me up with a therapist, and i can start to work through some off this mess (my life). Ha, i'm sitting here in my room listening to the calming sound of the beatles. I've always had some musical talent but with the state my heads been in over the last few years i stopped playing my guitar/trumpet etc. This is one of the few occasions for a long time where im actually looking…

Hello my name is Jeff and I’m 30. I recently came to a realization in my life that I might identify as a women but want to seek advise because I am attracted to women and married and don’t want to hurt my wife. My realization came recently when I decided to shave my entire body. It felt liberating and a little more like who I’m meant to be, I’ve been dressing like a women whenever my wife isn’t home panties, dresses, leggings and ,bras when I do this I feel at home but also repulsed at my current body wishing that I looked how I felt in my wife’s clothing. I have moments of being comfortable with myself but always when I am very busy. I never thought about this …

I have to share this my comming out story. In the early years I got married twice to cover up my TG but always soon after, I got caught with woman's clothes that was my "stash" so to speak. Dressing as a girl gave me some relief as I could express my sexual idenity. Sometimes I got caught red handed. It all started when I was about 4 when I found out that my anatomy would not grow into a girl. I got abused because I got caught wearing my sister's cloths. On that day the coverup began. As I grew older, I still wore girl's cloths and wandered around at night in my neiborhood. At the time I didn't know there were other people like me that felt like a girl trapped in a boy's …

Today's show included Angelika and Jake (I think I saw them before on an MSNBC transgender special once), plus Dr. Marci Bowers. In two weeks, the topic is "Fathers and Husbands Who Became Women." Woo-hoo!!!

Ok I know this may sound odd but I don't know wheather to get excited or go to the doctor. I have been taking climara (patches) for 3.5 months now and the other day when I went to shower OMG my breast area was red (the shape of a female breast). The next day it was nearly gone but a day or so later and now my nipples are getting tough and more sensative if that makes ant sense. and the nipple area tingles a bit at times. So my question is should I jump for joy or rush out to find an endochinologist ? Any thoughts here would be appreciated . Thanks ladies.

When thinking about passing in public the number one critic for years were children. I would get “the stare” and happy they did not say something like “mommy, (while pointing) is that a girl or a man?”. I never did get that done (the verbal aspect) to me but was in constant fear it would happen to me and everyone would stare at me. The reason for bringing this up is having to wait for a pizza tonight for about 15 minutes with a crowded Little Caesars with lots of parents and children, not one odd stare which is the norm now but had me revisit my past memories. Anyways thought it was worth bringing it up as I am sure most trans-people get this at least once or twice. Th…

Hi !!! It is Virginia I am still learning my way the site. So, if I seem like I don't quite know what I'm doing, it is no surprise. I hope to make some friends. The town I live is so lonely and boring. There is nowhere to go and not much to do. And I am too afraid anyway. I wish to find a place I can feel comfortable to be myself with nice friends. So, talk to me!!! I hope we can all have fun together - Virginia - :)

Hello, I am a mom of a 16 year old boy who recently told me he is questioning his sexual identity. I am very open, I have a great relationship with him and have been doing a lot of research on transgender transition. I found a gender therapist and had our first meeting today, it was just her and I and he will start next week. I liked her but she brought up some things that got me questioning some things. My experiences with trans MTF has been women who post on YouTube and share (they are all beautiful), an old classmate, who is beautiful, a few people I have seen on TV, who have all been beautiful... all look very feminine. I have another trans friend that is less fem…

I was looking at pictures of me from a few months ago and I look so different now and my moustache and neck hair have grown back Im so sad and scared right now. Im so scared do you think 1 month of 16 year old boy puberty could do too much damage?? I started self medicating am I going to have to wait as long as I did the first time for my facial hair to stop growing? Will my face go back to looking like it used to look???? And it's a very long story as to why I had to stop taking HRT for a month and start self-medicating... very long.

Hello everyone, It has been a while since I have posted. So I have some good and bad news. But overall things are going well. Better than expected. First and foremost, please allow me to extend my thanks to each and every one of you who post on this site. While I may not have posted much, I have checked in, researched some topics and read a lot of great info and advice. So thanks to all of you. REALLY ! THANKS! The second thing I did after joining this site was to become an active member of the the local support group, and they are great. If you are ever in Tulsa, look up the Gender Outreach Group hosted at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center http://www.okeq.org/…

Hello, I'm not planning on transitioning but am still curious about the effects of hormones on emotional well being. One of the reasons I decided not to seek out hormones is I tend to be a worrier and almost never feel confident. My reasoning was, if I'm emotionally this way already, I'd really dislike it if hormones increased those more. For those who have dealt with alot of those feelings, how did hormones effect them in you? Thanks! MIWBJ

 Hi, it is Virginia again. I have so many fears and questions regarding my transition. I'm I too old for surgery? (47) How do they create a vagina? Is it convincing? Will I be all scared up? What is the average cost. Are there financing programs? - Virginia -

Well, now that visually my transition has me in a state where I pass as a female in public quite seamlessly. But it didn't quite prepare me for the casual shivalry, I've had older men - whom quite frankly I should be bloody opening the door for - opening the door for me to go into shops and things like that. Male doctors who have pulled out chairs for me to sit down. Despite being quite young, I am rather femminine and a little old fashioned. So it surprises me first that I didn't think to expect this behaviour. But what surprises me most, now, however is when a woman did it for me. Now, I am not shy about it. I am what would be deemed as a lesbian. I am probably te…

It suddenly occured to me after living in limbo for......well, most of my life, that I am ready to srat working on transitioning (and alot of other things in my life.) I'm thinking about alot of things: who I'm gonna tell, what I'm gonna do about work, what will I have to change in my daily life, not to mention what I will have the chance to change in my daily life. Since I am systematic about most things, I plan on discussing this with as many people as I can (obviously including my therapist.) Any thoughts, annectdotes, or advice would be most appreciated.

This is a subject I don't really hear a lot of people touch on; there seems to be a lot of hand waving involved. Maybe that's all it is, really, people flying under the radar and hoping nothing bad happens. I've asked my therapist about this but he doesn't have a lot of reassuring answers. But I'm curious how non-op TS people deal with day to day legal issues. Like, let's say you look totally passable, everyone calls you "ma'am" or "sir" (as appropriate), you maybe even changed your name or perhaps even are able to go as far as changing your drivers' license to have the right gender. But most places in this country, at least, until you've had bottom surgery they will r…

As a kid, my dad wasn't around much. He and my mom got along like cats and dogs. I was basically raised by my two older sisters and my mom. No big surprise, I had developed a genuine fem. personality. I didn't know any different. I didn't understand why people made the comments they made. "And what's your name little girl?" "Tomboy". As I got older the comments became more colourful. I just shrugged most of it off. Then one day it hit me when one of my sisters was visiting. I was just being myself. suddenly she blurted out "Oh quit acting like a girl". I wasn't acting. I felt very awkward in front of everyone. I learned who and what I am. It took along time, but, I fi…

Hi I just turned 18 and I really want to try sex with a tgirl im versatile but I don't know how or where to meet a tgirl and I just want to confirm my sexuality in the most respectful way possible. I've been watchin tgirl porn for 3 years now and I always feel bad after I finish and I don't know if it's just me on a porn tangent or me actually attracted to tgirls. I kept running into escorts but I don't want to meet anyone like that to be honest. Id rather see what it's like and if I like receiving anal penetration as much as I like i watching it this will confirm I just don't want to make any big movements into the community without testing the waters. PLEASE HELP! I nee…

Well, I've been talking over the internet to this guy on this forum I'm a moderator at about my situation. He's really polite but holds one of the narrowest views I have ever come across about gender, and it's not religious at all. So, I've read a lot about the hypothesized causes of being gender-queer but it's been a while and I need to refresh my memory. I've been using the hormone imbalance in the brain a few weeks after conception theory but, he's found specific citations of people saying that biological sex is determined at the moment of fertilization, not the gender neutral theory where sex is developed later which the theory for our existance depends upon... I'…

Ok so again, I feel timid to post since my last time speaking I did more than just put my foot in my mouth. Even though my initial point came out wrong, I have since realized that I hold myself to some pretty rediculous standards in hope that it will keep me grounded in the reality that, well, passable or not, my life will often be met with adversity and skepticism from others. I found that not only did my views that not BEING a genetic woman somehow devalidated my womanhood, when applied here, offended many people (and rightly so) but that I also realized much of my shame and agony that I internalized was from *ascribing* to such generalizations. Before I begin this p…
