HEYA EVERYONE! I just wanted to pop in here and kinda introduce myself to the forum, I just recently joined and have gone over some interesting reads so far! I have been following the Transgender Guide on twitter and if you tweet then we should follow each other if you would like to be friends with me! But anyway, that led me here and so here I am :] A bit about myself.. I am 24 and I am of hispanic / icelandic descent. I am a professional web designer / developer and run my own web firm. I am always doing garage projects and am currently tied to building my own transgender community website that is going to offer all types of resources and valuable info for those in t…

This One is worth reading about.... I have tried something that very few people may have the energy for, but it was very interesting. I have posted more detailed information in my blog on breast stimulation but I am not sure the general public can view it. To summarize what I have done is related to Male Lactation information on the web. I discovered wonderful feelings by using a breast pump that my wife no longer used since she had weaned our latest child off, little over a year ago. I would have paid for this information long ago, because it was so helpful but I learned through experimentation and the little bit of info online. I probably could make money…

Hi everyone, I am Rebecca, Becki to all my friends (and I hope you will be my friend). I have felt like a girl almost all my life. It started when I was just 3 and wore a borrowed dress, panties, knee socks, and maryjanes for a Halloween costume. The was the night I realized why I wasn't really happy. While in that dress, i felt so right. After that day, every time i was over playing with my best friend, Amy, I got to wear on of her cute outfits while we played with her dolls. I even got to have a sleep over with her a few times while growing up. It was so much fun, just the two of us sitting around in our jammies, doing our nails, eating popcorn and discussing thin…

Hi, my names Karen and I am a 54 year old pre-op transexual. I have been living full time for three years now after officially changing my name and coming out to my family, the best decision I have made and my life has never been happier. I am currently awaiting hormones from the Leeds Gender Clinic and have recently started the ball rolling to obtaining my Gender Recognition Certificate. At present I am still seeking full time employment in my new gender although I have done a year working part time in my new gender. I also moderate in a transgendered/fetish chatroom on the internet. Am always looking to meet and make new friends.

Does anyone have any good exercise routines. I am really tired of my belly fat and would love to get healthier. I have a bad back several nerves pinched off by crushed discs so it's hard for me at times to get up and down off the floor. I know if I could loose some weight I would not only look better but feel better. I don't want to put in muscle mass just time and loose the belly fat. Get my waist back and everything any ideas would be great. Thanks ladies xoxo

So I am working up the power to come out to my partner. Really scared everytime i even think about it but i know it needs to happen as the first step to anything. If i can manage it i want to come out this afternoon after work. anyone have any pointers or tips or things to say to hopefully make it easyer for them to understand and take? I am hoping her love for me is as strong as my love for her and she will see through this and still want to be with me, but i know i have to be prepaird for it to not go that way :(

There has been much talk about homone testing and the importance of a medical doctor in prescribing hormones. I agree with the seriousness of this topic and rather than talk about doctors that don't know anything, I am offering an alternative explanation for the different types of testing that may be done and the reasoning why. I would like to share some insight on what is happening to me. I am going to one of the best facilities in the state of wisconsin for medical care in madison and they have a special team of doctors who handle transgender care. I have had my blood levels taken and will be having them checked about every three months or so. This testing …

TODAY IS MY TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF BEING OUT FULL TIME. I AM A VERY HAPPY GIRL TODAY. I got up at 6, went to the beauty parlor at 7, got my hair and makeup done, then I went off to my therapist at 11. Tonight I am going to a party to celebrate being out full time for 2 years. (and now getting letter #1 for SRS) At my appointment with my therapist this morning, she did the one letter I need for SRS. She also gave me a congratulations on your "graduation" card with a nice note inside and a couple of beautiful keepsakes as well. On May 1st, I should get the second letter approving me for SRS. YEA, SRS in 2011 here I come. Bobbie Jo

The title refers to the legendary Phoenix, of course. The ashes are less legendary but still there metaphorically. They are the ashes of the "bridges burnt" during my "successful" career as a Software Engineer. I hadn't known HE was burning bridges. I was told this recently by a recruiter who let me know that he'd submitted my resume to clients who informed him that they never want to work with HIM again. Now I've been unemployed more than 5 months. The unemployment benefits will run out in a few weeks. I have no savings and no other income. As it stands now HE has nothing left. Sometimes HE hasn't even wanted to live any longer and could have taken ME with HIM…

So, as many probably know, dilation is the major post operative pain that coms with SRS. My current surgeon started me off with 5 different dilators, varying in size, and had me on a schedule of 5 times a day at 20 minutes each session, for the first three weeks, with that schedule sliding down to 4 times a day the following three weeks, then 3 times the following three weeks, etc, etc. My question, for any of you post operative women, is that it has been about 3 weeks as of this monday since I have been first dilating. However, there has been about 4-5 days in which I only dilated 4 times a day instead of 5, due to my schedule. I guess this is kind of a two part …

Either way My answer was made clear by reading a few things on this forum. Its funny how one can make obtain a clear answer for them selfs with out a direct interaction of another person. Up and down the net researching and all it too was a simple post phrased just right. I thank you all for your time. I am sorry about the post I did not think I would have had the clearness I needed In the way I received it. If mods could delete this post I would be happy. Sorry mods of this forum. …

Hi Everyone This is just a post to introduce myself, My name is Mercedes, I am 34 years old and living in the U.K. I have started my real life experience on the 30th April this year. My doctor has already referred me to a psychologist (mainly for depression and anxiety) after a few sessions (about 6) I got discharged from her, and referred for cognitive behaviour therapy, my doctor has also started me on hormone treatment, first she started me on an Estraderm TTX patch (They didn't agree with me a brought me out in rashes) she then changed the patches to Estraderm MX patch (these didn't stick well, and now she has put me on Estradot (these are so much smaller and stick …

Hello Family, My name is Rhonda and I live in Portland,OR. I am a fifty plus year old Male to Female Transgener. I have been "battling" this condition most of my life. Either by ignoring the urges as I could or by keeping in the closet I could no longer fight the urges. I came to PDX. With the specific goal to "start" a real life test. Since arriving here in the first of the year. 2010 I have so far managed to find a ND to over see my HRT, I'm on Spirolactone and Estrodial. I have secured living "quarters" in a relatively safe building. I'm seeing a Gender Therapist at the behest of my Naturalist Doctor. This is a brief history of where I'm at now. I have…

here's another poll i thought of after reading dev's reply in the "How Far Do You Plan to Go" thread/poll in the FTM forum. i've never seen too much in the way of progress when it comes to SRS for either the men or the women, but especially the men. but then i've not really researched it either. despite that, however, it seems to me in all the things i have read, information like that would be in yer face so to speak.

I haven’t been on for quite a while ... after a death in my family and a difficult trip to my hometown and a reunion with my Dad and brother to return and face problems at home, issues with my partner that we’ve yet to overcome. I just wanna be done with all the crap that transitioning has attached with it. I feel good in my body, my role ... my gender, finally. I’ve contributed here from almost the beginning of my journey, as I felt better I’ve always tried to be upbeat and supportive and encouraging to those at the beginning of their personal journey, facing who they really are, coming out and starting transition. It is wonderful to finally be ourselves and live in the…

Like, oh my God, I have a varicose vein on my foot. It kind of sticks out and it's blue. Now my feet have always been one of my best features. People have commented on how beautiful they are (or were). And that's not the only thing, all kinds of weird bumps and blemishes are appearing all over my body. How do you cope wiv this? The ageing process I mean. I'm lucky, like I look 10 years younger than my biological age, but it's all starting to catch up wiv me. Things are starting to droop and sag. Should I just accept it as part of the natural ageing process, or should I fight it, wiv surgery or what have you? My own opinion, grow old gracefully. This opinion is partly driv…

  23. my question is not about the technical aspects of changing the voice but how you go about transitioning it in society. i think i can do a female voice, though i cant quite tell on the smartphone recorder. i have changed smaller towns twice recently for other reasons. i dont think strangers should be called sir and maam. but once people or relatives, most who arent friends, have heard you one way, i feel (kind of?) embarrassed to change.

  24. The reason I ask is after many years one might have physical problems related to scar tissue with the functioning of surgically related the surgery. I'm particularly interested in urinary problems. I'm also interested in knowing if anyone has had issues with silicone injections, and if problems occurred over a very long period of time. I can also answer questions about sexual function and longevity. I have lived most of my life as someone considered cis gender. That is, I have very few persons who know about my transitioning and therefore, I'm in the dark about many thing perhaps are common knowledge today. If you have recommendations of good physicians who a…

Life is becoming increasingly complicated. When I was younger (childhood), I remember wearing my mother's clothes when I could (that is, when I was alone) and feeling wonderful, but scared and ashamed at the same time because "that is not what little boys do". I would repress most of those feelings and impulses during high school (at least the cross dressing) and I thought that maybe it was a phase...I thought that since I was attracted to women that it was natural to want to know what it was like to be a woman and maybe that doesn't describe what I was going through accurately, but it's the best that I can do. After college, I married a woman and during my marriage I …
