Greetings all, First of all I don’t mean to offend anyone but I am simply a heterosexual male trying to understand what makes a transgender ticks. I was involved with an interesting discussion on transgender being linked to a mental illness. I was saying one that is transgender would qualify as having a "delusional disorder" because they have no premise of the reality that they are either male or female except for their thoughts/feelings of being the opposite gender. I have learned various male transgender having a female bed nucleus of the stria terminalis (BTSc) in their brains, which regulates sexual behavior. Some of the people that found this out were wonderin…

Hey, I am browsing the internet once again, and this forum But as I always end up, I feel so overwhelmed.. I always end up getting a headache and closing down the browser after a few hours. Simply because I cannot figure out where to start.. I wanna find breast implants, but I always end up on an American site (Wich I don't know if it ship to Europe) I already gotten some make-up Rimmel London Wake me up (Foundation) Rimmel London Wake me up (Consealer) Maybelline Mascarra Loreal Paris (Powder) I like make-up. and I think these fit both my skin color pretty well, but is there more I need? What do a transgender need more? I wanna try and "hide" most my masul…

I just emailed a letter coming out to my parents. I wonder if this feels similar to what it would be like to hit the button that starts WWIII. Nothing to do but to sit back and wait for the return fire.

  4. What should I expect? Should I already doing some bra or sport bra shopping? The only way I see breast clevage is when I’m in the mirror pressing my breasts together and standing on my side I see small clevage. When I am facing front of the mirrior face ahead I don’t see any breast clevage when I’m pressing my breasts together. I read that transgender women who started late on HRT in older age won’t achieve the same as a teen transgender female breasts development.

I'm 18 and financially dependent on my mom Who along with the rest of my family is deeply religious and I'm struggling with how to deal with this or even whether i have the nerve to go through with the trans gender thing because no offense but it goes against everything i was raised with. I think that if i told my mom she would still love me but i fear our relationship would suffer .Also, my Closest cousin is somewhat homophobic so imagine how she would feel about me. i just feel like if i did this i might lose everything and everybody i knew.I also feel guilty for feeling like this and i was wondering if therapy would ever make you feel differently about things. I gues…

Hello ladies, I am hoping someone can provide me with some advice about my HRT regimen. I have been on HRT for 3 years now. There was an increase in my dosage after the first 6 months but none since. Some others have told me lately that my dosage may be too low. I have been doing some research on the web and it may appear that it is. I plan on speaking with my doctor next week about this I would love and appreciate and advice anyone can provide to me. Thanks so much :)

  7. I being doing research as what is consider living full-time, Real-life experience as a transgender female? I need to better understand cause insurance policy stats “ Must complete 12 months of living full time real life experience as the desired gender”. This is added for breasts augmentation surgery or for Sex Reassignment Surgery. There is no details on what is consider living full time as a woman. This was written by me in April of 1999. It was my first published internet editorial, and addresses my earliest impressions of this community. You will see that philosophically I have evolved beyond the opinions expressed here, particularly as they apply to my own life and plans for the future. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE LADDER~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am a fairly recent arrival to the transgendered "community," for want of a better word, having first made contact with you all in January of this year. Until that time, I traveled this road in total isolation-- had never spoken to or met another person like me. In the four months since my first foray onto the internet, sp…

I heard vaguely that certain HRT drugs can result in different changes to the body. As in one drug might cause a person to fill out in the butt, but another might cause more breast tissue. Is this true? Which ones to what, if so?

A lot of gays (A LOT) think that we are plain freaks. You just have to enter a gay chat or go to a gay restaurant dressed up and you'll see their reaction. A lot of gays just hate us and it doesn't make any sense to me. In fact, the worst (unwarrented and unrequested) comments about my physical appearence and ability to pass came from gay guys. When asked what they think about men who date post op TS women, gays like to think that these men are closeted gays. It makes me so sick that a lot of hatred and phobia against our community comes from gays.

I have compiled a lists of things people have said and asked me during my transition. Its funny lot of these things have come from My sisters, girlfriends, guy friends, guys I have dated, exwife! Most have come from women though, makes me wonder if its not good to be a girl then why aren't they men? Here they are: Why do you want to be a girl??? Why do you want to cut off your penis? Why do you want breasts? Why do you want a vagina? Vaginas are too much maintenance! Gynecologist visits are not fun at all! You know having a period isn't fun! Hey can you just keep the breasts and not get rid of your penis, I would enjoy you better! Can you have…

My Endocrinologist put me on Prometrium (Progesterone) as a supplement to the reduced Estradiol dosage that I currently take. As a result, I have been having the strangest, most far-out wacky dreams of my life. Usually, I do not remember my dreams, but those I have had recently are so clear and vivid to me. My question to you, Dear Readers: Do you have or have you had similar experiences? If so, do you feel as though the dreams you experienced had always been there, except that the Prometrium brings them more "out front", memorable? Thanks!

I'm 20 and i've been on hrt for 10 months (going on 11), and I've noticed that my hips are widening. The reason I raise the issue is that i'm thin enough that I can see the edge of my hip bone, so it's not fat. And all the HRT faqs i ever read said that hrt wouldn't effect bone structure. But after talking to some other transsexuals my age that doesn't seem to be the case at all. It's certainly not my imagination, i've gained 1.1" to my hips, at the point where I can feel the bone under the skin (clearly visible as well, trust me, i'm pretty skinny). Young transsexuals seem to experience a widening of the hips in some cases, thats not strictly due to fat. So I just …

I was recently discharged from the Marines due to my growin boobs. Before that I had transitioned at 12 years old and been kicked out of my house at 15 by my parents for it. Dropped out of highschool, started college, enlisted as an officer when I hit 18 after 3 years of trying really hard to be a dude. 2 years later and this is me. I just got to civilian life. I'm in a new city, full time, haven't been on hormones for months, just trying to figure out what to do with myself and waiting for acceptance into the pharmacist program at USC seeing as I have my bachelors in biology. I ride motorcycle and like to shoot guns, I'm impatient and don't like people too much. …

Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have written much of anything. I have been very busy lately but I never stop thinking about the whole process of transition. Much has changed for me since I have been on hormones. It has been four weeks now and I am learning a lot. I am going to share my experience and it would be interesting if others felt similar to me but I also recognize that no two experiences between individuals will be exactly alike. The first couple of days I was excited an unsure of what I would feel. Soon after my first dose I felt light and giddy for the next few days after I would wake up in the morning very pleasant and happy What I did…

I'm currently 20 years old and had been thinking about my existence in the world. I truly think i was not born a boy but a girl. So therefore, i have a few questions i need to ask before i can start going throught the transformation process I heard about taking anti-androgens before taking estrogens/progesterone. is that a must and can someone explain to me why it is so? My figure had always been very girly, i am only 5'3 and my build is very tiny and not a bit muscular. Many times i had mistakened as a tomboy when i go out with a little bit of makeup on my face. is that a good thing? Also, what sort of process should i take in order to fully transform into a girl? i …
