Hi team. I'm hoping for some feedback soon from those of you further down the road so I am armed when talking to the gatekeeper. Brief history. After two discussions with gatekeeper one he wants confirmation from gatekeeper two that I'm good to go. OK here is what I want. Firstly, I know you don't get to chose what hormones do but if I could chose: if Carlesberg made hormones (perhaps lost on my non European sisters) this is what I would want. 1/ The end of the mental torment/noise....you all know what I mean. 2/ A more feminine, passable face. 3/ Transition by stealth. What I hope the gatekeepers will sanction therefore is very low level oestogen (patc…

Note: I hope this article is a good one. I hate to admit it, but I didn't read it all - I usually read anything I am about post. When I saw the length of this blog, I thought, *nooooo, I can't do that whole thing!* (believe it or not, I'm really not overly fond of reading. And here I am...on a forum!). But the headline seemed like it would be of interest. I hope it wasn't misleading. If it was, you all just line up and you can each cyber kick me (once) where the sun don' shine. Talking with a tgirl friend, she reminded me that as boys we travelled light – carrying just a thin wallet, smart phone and biz cards in our jacket pockets (or pants pockets if not wearing a jacket) and some folding money in our boy pants pockets. That was all that we needed. I rolled my eyes and laughed when she asked me if I could still travel as light. No way I said. A girl never knows what she may need out in the cruel world for just a few hours or longer. Then I picked up my everyday bag, a Tods Shopper Tote, and started taking inventory. What can I say – bigger is definitely better as far as a bag or purse is concerned. Take a look at what I carry around ev…

I want to use this forum to say thank you to all at the TG Guide for helping me to turn my life around. It was only a few short months ago that I stumbled upon this website, confused and a little afraid. I have known I am transgender since the age of five and had even chosen my name at that time, but I didn't have the language to express my feelings. I had felt ashamed of myself since being told I was depraved by my mother at the age of thirteen when she caught me trying on a pair of tights. This feeling of shame has haunted me all my life and caused the breakdown of my marriage as I was unable to talk about my feelings. since splitting with my wife I had been drinki…

Hi fellow Earthlings. To the point. The end (at last) is in sight for me being prescribed hrt. I am sure I will not be alone here by what I now describe. There is a constant battle within me, antagonistic forces which causes me distress. On one side is my aspirational commitment to transition while on the other is the associated guilt of inflicting such change on those I love, especially my wife of 30 years. The question therefore is addressed to those who have shared the conflict. Does hrt calm the turmoil? I realise that it can bring about the ethereal sense of well being so often articulated with difficulty but does it do anything about the torment of guilt? Tha…

I read in the Flat to Fem program about using Pueraria Mirifica for breast growth. Has anyone used this, how much did you take, and if so what were the results? Just wondering if it was worth trying or not. I would like to work on developing breasts to start my transition.

Over the past few weeks I have been presenting in my true female gender pretty much full time. Even when I'm tucked up in bed. I have told my landlord because he is also my neighbour and I didn't want him thinking I was doing something weird. Luckily he was totally cool about it. I have signed up for counseling at my local LGBT centre and for a course of life skills. I am also waiting for an appointment at the Gender Identity Clinic for assessment and hopefully hormones and maybe GRS. I am really getting to hate wearing male clothes for work and also not being honest with my family. I have been advised by the people at the LGBT centre to wait awhile before telli…

I know results may vary but if perhaps a meta analysis were to be carried out on dosage level vs effect what might the data suggest? Well to the question. I am close the the hrt administration stage and will be pushing for the option of anti androgens and low dose oestrogen. Why? Well ideally I want to ease the mental torment and hopefully taste the "feeling of well being" so often expressed. I also want my face given a feminine boost via complexion and modest fat redistribution. I do not want to expedite any other physical change but appreciate that i could still end up with no facial change at all but a couple of "Dolly Parton" specials! In other words, you don't get…

Hello! I am 22 y/o college student. I am physically male but am move between states of a female, androgynous, and male minds. It is one of many reasons why I have been hesitant to decide if I sould transition from MtoF. I am bisexual and out to my family. They don't like it but they don't say anything to me about it much anymore. I would like to find someone I can talk to about transitioning. I have many fears and concerns about it. Anyone willing to be like a transgender parent would be great. I don't have many people I can talk to about it. I just need someone that can give me hope that life as a transiuioned women can be good and safe, and not these dark tragic stories…

I had a disturbing experience last night. I was following the US election on Twitter when I noticed that a T-girl I follow was getting abuse from a man that she had chided for his comment that he had 'voted for Romney because he is white'. This man started to send her a heap of vile transphobic abuse and got his troll friends to do the same. I decided that I would take some of the hate from her shoulders, as she was clearly upset, and told the man that he did not have the right to call anyone a 'tranny and hoe' ( I assume that means whore). Naturally I then became the target. 'oh are you a tranny to, I bet mines bigger than yours' along with a drawing of his penis. …

I went to the therapist today terrified of what it was going to be like but she put at easy as the session went along. She ask if I had a time line to transition an I told her NO. I told her if I had it my way I would get it all done tomorrow if I could but she said that to fast. My question is what is a good time line to get everything done?

Transgender journey: recovering from surgery The Guardian When I got the date for my sex reassignment surgery, I wasn't so worried about the operation itself (I'd be asleep, right?) as its aftermath: how I was going to look after myself during the two months it would take to recover? I called my parents and...

Hi, Every time that I see my therapist she asks me if I have been losing more weight. At this point I don’t think that my weight loss is a big deal. I’ve looked up the Body Mass Index range for a person of my body type and height and I’m still above the minimum suggested weight. She has suggested that I maintain my current weight and I’ve been doing that for a while. I don’t know if this makes any sense, it’s not that I feel guilty about eating, I just feel happy when I don’t eat. I’ve also come to enjoy the “hunger buzz” that I get when I don’t eat. I don’t feel I’m starving myself because I don’t feel all that hungry. Anyway I’ve got this thing going on wit…

Hi, my name is Lucia and I am a Male to female in the early stages of my transition. Ever since I have came out to my family and some of my friends, it seems like everything has fallen apart. My family has limit me from going to therapy and doesn't like where its located(its located in an area where its populated mostly by gays, lesbians and more.) My family is religious and doesn't believe in Transsexuality and think its an abomination, they also said even if I get SRS that I still be a man and stuff ='(. I attempted to go to therapy on my own, but I can't due to my family. Also I feel insulted by my mother due to her saying things like I don't have any features of a woma…

Like, oh my God, I have a varicose vein on my foot. It kind of sticks out and it's blue. Now my feet have always been one of my best features. People have commented on how beautiful they are (or were). And that's not the only thing, all kinds of weird bumps and blemishes are appearing all over my body. How do you cope wiv this? The ageing process I mean. I'm lucky, like I look 10 years younger than my biological age, but it's all starting to catch up wiv me. Things are starting to droop and sag. Should I just accept it as part of the natural ageing process, or should I fight it, wiv surgery or what have you? My own opinion, grow old gracefully. This opinion is partly driv…

Hello. First I feel I have to apologise, cos I've written a lot of rubbish, and that just reflects the various phases I'm going through. And, no doubt, I'll write a lot more rubbish, this being maybe one of them. I just hope I haven't hurt anyone or done any damage. But I must admit, I do like this forum as a safety valve, cos otherwise I might explode. You know my biggest problems with being what I am is not public derision (I thought it was, but it's not, I'm not out formally but pretty much everyone knows what I am, and I don't care), Nor is it my personal appearance (I thought it was, but then I see genetic women wiv hairy legs and male features, they're still women).…

Has anyone tried any of the at home hair removal systems? I'm doing research on three, the No-No, Tria and Silk'n SensEpil. Each works differently and all three are FDA approved. So far I've found mixed reviews on each, but the Silk'n SensEpil seems to have the best reviews. Before I go out and drop several hundred dollars, I'd like to know if anyone here has tried any of these at home systems?

This subject seems rarely discussed within the transgender community and may even be a little taboo, for this reason I will not go into any detail here, however I have provided a link to a study by Dr Anne Lawrence and also a blog. I have been wondering why I get a sensation or a strong impression that I have female genitalia and/or breasts. Although I do consciously imagine being female, these particular sensations appear to come from nowhere so I don't think in these instances it is just a case of wishful thinking. In a way it could appear similar to people who have phantom limbs, being able to feel an arm or leg when it has been amputated. Some theories have been put forth suggesting that there is an area of the brain responsible for body mapping and that this body map is hardwired in the brain. I have read studies where FTM's growing up have a strong sensation that they have a phallus and/…

I have a son that is my life, his name is Conner and he is 11 years old.Good thing is he still loves me although I am a woman now still calling me dad.I did get him, full custody 3 years ago when I divorced my non accepting ex wife. Then it was time when I had to tell him I was going to become a woman 3 years ago and he was 8 years old at the time.He was devistated at first,I told him I will be the same and we worked things out through a therapist.I called him out and told him I had to tell him something.I looked at him and told him I am going to become a woman. He ran into his room all devistated and we talked with a question asked. It was if I was going to be a whole differa…
