  2. Started by JayM,

Hi. I've been a visitor to this site for some time but I finally decided to sign up today. I've followed @TGGuide on Twitter for quite a while. I'm a trans male. I'm not totally out and I don't always present as male because of that. I haven't tried to transition. Not fully, anyway. I'm based in the UK and I'm - shall we say - an older member of the human race. Okay, I'm ancient. But after many years of hiding and faking my way through life, I can feel that society is finally changing, and I'm finally gaining the confidence to be more out and to work towards becoming the authentic me. So I just wanted to say hello. I've read many of your discussions and blog entries and I…

  3. Started by Sheela,

Hi all! My name is sheela, which is a sanskit word meaning "harmony, and approaching life in the right way. I began my transition in May 2011, and have been living FT since January 2012, when I had FFS. The surgery was done my Dr Z in Chicago, and I'm very happy with the result. I know I have alway been female since a little child, but for ages had no idea what to do about this. The concept of being born in the wrong body didnt occur to me for a long time. I used to think that I may have been dropped off on the wrong planet. I'vr learned now that the way I look influences gratly how the world i live in will treat me. Now that I look live a woman, sound like woman…

  5. Started by Chance,

Hi there, I’m a 21 year old transgender woman hoping to undergo hormones soon. I’m really excited for this transition. Growing my hair out has been important in making me feel more feminine, but I know it’ll be a long process. It’s nice to meet everyone here and I hope to make some new friends.

  8. Started by ChiDreams,

Just a short note, so folks will know where I'm coming from. Since I was seven, I knew something was wrong. Born male, I would frequently go to sleep, praying I would wake up female in the morning. Try as i might, I never 'fit in.' Never having any interest in men, I was often assumed to be gay. I tried many jobs, had many adventures- all in the hope of finding my place in life. Around 1990 I was in Chicago, and began to transition. I was about 32 then. Dressing in leggings and tunics, with womens' shoes, I was right at that magical point where folks began to think I was female. I sought HRT, but was put off by the various barriers put in by the gatekeepers back then. I l…

In the 1980's, I could be found on CompuServe and usenet, so if anyone thinks they know me from back then, they're probably right. I transitioned in 1985. I'm out about my past, but I don't wear it on my sleeve. I'm currently working in technology, but plan to graduate May 18 with an MDiv and pursue ordination in the United Church of Christ. I live in Joliet IL with my partner of 24 years.

  11. I am opening up for the first time to someone other than myself. A bit about me; I am an Asian Indian male, 45 , married and dad, working professional from Portland. I have very mixed body features. I don’t have much hair on me and I wax so have a smooth body all over, light wheatish skin color, nicely done eyebrows and definitely size B manboobs, 6’2” tall and slightly curvy body, so I look like a tall woman when I am all dressed up. Growing Up; At a very young age , I got very intrigued with Wigs and Bra’s. I used to try on Bra’s starting age 14 and stuffed them up with socks. I used to roam wearing panties , and gown , usually taken off my dryers from m…

  12. Started by noabody,

Standard stuff probably. Confused because I feel feminine and alone 'cause no one I'm around really understands it. But I've never felt completely like I was supposed to be woman so I guess it's gender dysphoria. I've always liked my own "feminine" features; wanted to be pretty, to be adored, and disliked my penis like it didn't belong. Don't know. COGIATI places me as probable "late onset" transexual but I've never put too much faith in those kind of tests. I find it increasingly difficult to make love as it seems wrong or I can't understand what I'm supposed to be doing. It only feels right when I'm being made love to. Bought womens clothes including wig …

  13. Thank you for a wonderfully informative site. I'm not sure what is really going on with me, I'll give you a few things from my past and present and maybe you can help. I've always been into women's clothes and intimates from a very young age, around 7 or 8 best I can remember, mom's nylons, panties and bras, older sister's pantyhose. I've always had the feeling that I wanted to be the woman when having sex and usually at get togethers I enjoy hanging with the women. My wife prefers me to pick out clothes for her when we go shopping, says I have so much better taste in women's clothes. I'm a male in my sixties now and still have these feelings and still dress up when I get…

Hello there! I don't know what to say, but I'll try anyway.. I'm a transgender, twenty years of ages.. It's new for me, very new and I am still at stage 0.. I've only recently got an agreement with a theripist. I don't dress (Too much) But I very much like to do so. I find makeup hard, and finding out clothing size.. Thats two of those things I hope some friendly spirit coule tell me. Else I'm her for a chatter, and making great friends, wich I can share my throughts with. As It's easier for me to talk about it over chat, then actully pouring it out from my mouth. Anyway, some facts about me, I'm twenty years of age (As I said above) Currently under education as…

  15. Gidday from Canada, I was diagnosed, well, more like self-diagnosed so my therapist says, earlier this year which brought me through a "necessary" emotional roller coaster. After much therapy I have come to embrace who I am as I've finally understood I wasn't nuts or insane after 48 years! This brought me to make the decision to move forward with my transition no matter what. I live in beautiful Gatineau, Quebec (yes I'm French) and proud to work for our federal government where I perform a service which helps fellow Canadians. I consider myself extremely lucky to be where I am career wise considering what I have been through during my crazy lifetime! Like most of us…

  16. Started by Arrrein,

Okay, so hi! This is a pretty big step for me. I've just sort of come to admit to myself and recognise that what I comfortably know myself as is not what i've always known, its transgender. I am quite comfortable and happy with that knowledge within myself; i've got a fairly realistic vision of who I am as a person. I have a solid picture of my beliefs that leads me to say that. But its a pretty big thing to say for one of the first times ever. Last week I couldn't see a reason to wake up tomorrow. I'd literally written the universe off. I saw no future. And suddenly the anxiety thats stopped me being me all my life has dropped away. Gender identity is one aspect, a prett…

Hello all, My name is Erica Elizabeth Ravenwood, owner of a website called TheTransgenderMovement.com which I started as a way to give more information. http://www.thetransgendermovement.com/ I have been transgender my whole life. I was aware I was female at three years old but spent the next forty plus years learning how to deal with that knowledge. I have spent the last two exhausting years developing ways to explain the basics surrounding the topics concerning transgender people. What I found was the similarities all people have. What I have tried to give you are the arguments to show that. I've done quite a bit of teaching throughout NY state. Psychologists, physicia…

Just joined (obviously) and thought I'd introduce myself. I think I'm a bisexual cross dresser, except I've never done anything about either and quite frankly don't know where to start or even if I'd have the courage to do so. Maybe joining here is a first step, maybe I'm in the wrong place. A little confused I think I can safely say! This is quite possibly the longest post I will ever make - I'm generally quite shy and exceedingly quiet. Mostly. Anyway, time to shut up :)

I am very excited to have found TG Guide. So many great resources on this site. Even though many are not super relevant for Thailand, your personal stories are always relevant. It's cool to read about people's journeys. I hope you guys will consider reading my story, which I have posted on my FundRazr page (link below). I appreciate any kind of feedback you might have. http://fnd.us/c/brsP5/sh/c41OH7

  20. Started by ChrissieToo,

I think I am one of those individuals who has something called alternating gender incongruity. While it hasn't been overly troublesome it exists. I don't usually see it coming and when it happens it like something has thrown a switch in my brain. When I was younger if I had to choose one gender it would be male. I have male genitals with some slight anomalies. I don't think I'm intersexed. Bi-gender or gender fluid may explain it to some degree. I have more serenity when I'm in female mode and I like that feeling. I've taken online gender tests and I come out as 70% female but I don't know how reliable they are. I've had long hair for the past 15 years or so. …

I am Naeka, 53 male, and diving into a new me. perhaps maybe treading water first might be better lol. Naeka, Which means whispering-(nae) dragon, (ka). First I am new to this site I had signed up a while ago but this is the first I have actually taken time to explore and have a look at things. While I have cross dressed ever since I was a youngster, its only been with in this last year and a half, after my Fathers passing and moving to live with friends. that I began, to look deeper into more of who I am inside and trying to learn to be that person on the outside. the area in which I live I am thus far fortunate, to not received any negative reaction though I have gotte…

  22. Started by Dori,

Hi everyone. As with all of you I'm new here and scared as hell. Scared I'm going to ruin my life, scared I'm go to hurt and ruin my wife's life, scared to be rejected by family and friends, scared, scared, scared. I'm 61 years old and I've always led a very constricted life. Few friends, rarely letting people get close to me. As with a lot of us, things started early. My mother told a 'funny' story when I was in high school to a girl I was trying to get up the courage to ask on a date. She said when I was 3 I came into the room dressed in my sister's cloths and told everyone I was now a girl. She said she thought it was funny but my father got furious and said 'no son…

Hello all you beautiful people! I will just start by talking about myself. Someone please tell me to stop ... Cuz I won't ☺️ My name is Gabi. I'm 26 and have been a CD for just a month or so... I have been depressed for a decade ! I feel like I just woke up from the LONGEST nap! Lol . I have more energy than I ever did as a teenager and I really need some resources to help me along the way. I don't want to just dress as a woman, I want to start taking hormones safely as soon as possible without rushing in to it. I feel like I lost so much time though :/ is 26 too old for HRT? Everyone says no but I would like as many opinions as possible. I am passable. I have a girly fac…
