  5. Hello to anyone and to begin with a little about me I suppose. I am now retired and live in the southern part of the UK and have been around the TG community for decades. I transitioned originally in 1978 but life was a whole different kind of experience back then. So in 1994 I returned to the transition and this time it was successful, the world was a little more accepting. My story is in one book about gender variance, so I am an author, and also an artist and photographer. I also write a lot of poetry and on top of all that, I am also Autistic. I have fought long hard battles with those who have tried to hold us back, some successes and some failures but the bigges…

Hello,I am Lynn and I am a 34 year old pre op MTF transsexual. It was at a very young age being the oldest of 4 sons I felt very differant inside. It was when I was 5 years old feeling I was born the wrong gender. My parents saw it happen,my mother caught me trying on her make up when I was 6 years old.I held the secret until my late teens.I came out when I was 17 years old,my mother knew there was something wrong and my father felt it was a phase I was going through at first. My mother found the help and I was diagnosed with gender indentity disorder. My father finally realized it was not a phase and I had a miserable life. Finally the therapist that I saw said the HRT was the…

Hi, I ran across Transgender Guide on Twitter and someone asked me to post a message here, so here I am. I'm a 48 year old trans man. I have a partner who is also a trans man so I guess you could say we identify as gay male. Anyway, you are welcome to friend me on twitter. I'm konnorcrewe there same as here. Nice to meet you. Hi. My name is Brianna. This my first experience with the transgender community. So far I have been posting & chatting a bit. It truly is special to know that I can let my female side free and not keep her inside all of the time. My story started out when I was 10. I was looking in the laundry for some of my clothes. I found a pair of silky panties. I was curious as to how they would feel. So I tried them on. Right then I knew that I loved the way they felt. Well, I was caught & shamed fairly badly. I stopped for a couple of years. Then one day I put some panties on but I didn't stop there. I put on hose, bra,(I stuffed it to simulate breasts),Dress & finally …

  13. Started by AllisonAlways,

Hi everyone my name is Allison and I just recently accepted that I am transgender. I have an enormous amount of questions as I am sure quite a few of us have had when we were new. I began seeing a therapist with transgender issue experience to help me navigate to my destiny. I am near Easton Pa. and I have been researching and I have begun identifying resources that I hope will be able to help me along in my journey. On the inside I want everything, all the changes, coming out to family and friends, and all to have been accomplished years ago and on the other side of the coin I am so scared it seems to take any small steps. Without getting to overwhelmed trying to…

  14. Started by ChrissieToo,

I think I am one of those individuals who has something called alternating gender incongruity. While it hasn't been overly troublesome it exists. I don't usually see it coming and when it happens it like something has thrown a switch in my brain. When I was younger if I had to choose one gender it would be male. I have male genitals with some slight anomalies. I don't think I'm intersexed. Bi-gender or gender fluid may explain it to some degree. I have more serenity when I'm in female mode and I like that feeling. I've taken online gender tests and I come out as 70% female but I don't know how reliable they are. I've had long hair for the past 15 years or so. …

  16. Started by Alonira,

I've never been very good at introducing myself (or interacting with new people in general, to be honest), but here goes: I was raised in a very... closed-minded? environment (LDS/Mormon, if that means anything to anyone), so when I began to doubt my gender it was something I kept to myself, my most closely- guarded secret. A couple online friends (one in particular) helped me sort through my feelings a little, but they weren't very experienced in this sort of thing and so mostly just listened as I rambled. It wasn't 'til my last couple semesters at college that I was able to bring myself to talk about it aloud, with one of the counselors from the school's free coun…

  17. Gidday from Canada, I was diagnosed, well, more like self-diagnosed so my therapist says, earlier this year which brought me through a "necessary" emotional roller coaster. After much therapy I have come to embrace who I am as I've finally understood I wasn't nuts or insane after 48 years! This brought me to make the decision to move forward with my transition no matter what. I live in beautiful Gatineau, Quebec (yes I'm French) and proud to work for our federal government where I perform a service which helps fellow Canadians. I consider myself extremely lucky to be where I am career wise considering what I have been through during my crazy lifetime! Like most of us…

I am so happy to have found this site, I mean I am absolutely thrilled ! I have read many things, researched things, and so far made a few friends. About me, well I am not willing to share what I do for a living, no it's not bad it's just between friend is all and if you a real friend then you'll know. Now listen to me and this is my story; At age 4 years old I was and knew myself to be a little girl, yet although I was anatomically made incorrect I tried so hard to just be me and it wasn't easy because I am the eldest son of seven and my father was a US Navy SEAL and worked for the CIA so trying to me wasn't as easy because my mother who accepted me told me that I couldn…

Hello,I am Alexis and I am a 34 year old tgirl.I have been living and dressing fulltime as a woman fulltime since I was 18.Growing up was very hard,I felt more feminine than masculine starting at the age 4.I was teased and picked on a lot too.I pretty much lived with my father,he has been great to me and still loves me.I remember starting crossdressing when I was 10 years old and somehow he never got on me.My father and bio mother divorced when I was 9 years old.My mother was not nice to me at all about this, never accepted this was me.She cut me off in her life when I started living and dressing as a woman fulltime. It included her family too, said I was not welcomed in any…

  21. Started by LuvPleatedSkirts,

Hi, Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Victoria, just your typical closeted TG'er. I just stumbled onto the twitter site and someone kindly asked me to introduce myself. I work as a male, but when I get home, I'm pretty much dressed as a girl. In fact, looking down at my fingernails, I've noticed that I did a very poor job of removing the pink nail polish I put on. I've been dressing forever, dabbled with hormones (ya, ya.. I know, don't do it without doctor supervision), stopped dabbling with hormones (self reflection on what I really wanted out of life), had electrolysis (actually, still doing it... it takes forever!!), and ultimately decided that I'll just …

hi everyone! am new to tgguide, have been on several other LGBT forums before but left them because they had some pretty agressive members on them and quite trollish users so am looking for a friendly community. am age thirty and have only been officialy out as transgender for the past...nearly one year but had been actively transgender for entire life without realising it;am classic autistic and have mild intelectual disability which have both affected understanding of gender and sexuality,am also the most extreme form of asexuality-never had any sexuality yet have spent many years being called gay. am hoping to get the chest op as this has been a massive issue for s…

Hey everyone! I’ve been a trans girl for almost 40 years but I spent much of that time trying to lie about it. I never told anyone until I told my wife and then my therapist. That’s been close to a year ago. I love my true self and since I spent so long trying to hide (not very successfully, but I did keep up the lie) I know who all the jerk faces are! Things haven’t been easy trying to navigate life with the truth, that’s why I’m here. People are assholes and I need help dealing. I’m hoping to find a bit of community or guidance here. Sunshine and Hugs, Ana

  25. Louisville lady looking forward to the new adventures and life experiences that are coming my way with the decision to start living my best life and accepting myself for the individual that I have always been internally, because I've tried too long to deny it or ran in the opposite direction in attempt to suppress it and the trauma that it was causing was too much because if something costs you your peace then it cost too much.
