  1. My name is Karen, a stay home mom to 4 beautiful yet challenging children some with deeper special needs than the other. We adopted our family from the State being foster/adopt home. Adam was 1st to come into our family finalizing adoption when was little over 2yrs. We had him since was 13mths. Once able to walk steadily & a foster daughter came it was game on to try to wear the clothes, shoes, hair stuff we had set aside since she was a newborn. We didn't discourage him & let him express himself. It was really cute till it didn't stop & we saw how different he was from other boys. That point we accepted everything, never shamed him & waited to see …

Hello everyone! Just wanted to let you know I am still alive and kicking! I have been living on my own since I left my wife in 2007. My kids were told I was leaving because I am gay, easier to accept than being trans. I go out mainly as a man but also go out as a woman and many in my building have seen me and accept me. They are always seeing me going out carrying my hockey equipment. I play 4-5 times a week. One of the groups I play with know I am trans and have no issue with it even though some don't understand it. I educate them as much as I can. I go out dressed to a gay club often which has Drag shows Thursday evenings and the atmosphere is wonderful. T…

  5. Started by TinaG,

I am 57 and just this week is the first time I ever told anyone about feeling transgender. I have know it since I was a child but in my family we never addressed any kind of issues or problems. Just don't talk about it and it did not exist. I have never understood how I feel but I knew it felt right and brought me comfort to imagine I was female. But I was full of shame and could not talk about it at all. I could never let anyone really get close to me, even my wife, for fear they would find out who I really was. After being in therapy for over a year for depression, I finally told my therapist this week. He was the only one I had ever spoke to about this my whole life…

Hmm about me... well I have been in the closet a long time and withen the last 5 or 6 months i came out as female... I havent started any HRT or anything at the momment so A pony is all you see of me :P. I do a lot ... A LOT of human rights advocacy for work mostly around race and mental health shenanigans. I am pretty happy about life and as for my story I am trying to decide if I want to follow through with transitioning ( its expensive ) or just keep it really queer. I dunno what else to say so thats a tid bit into my world and perhaps in ti…

Hi everyone! To introduce myself I suppose I should say that I hope this post finds you all well. I've only recently admitted to myself (after a lifetime of questioning) that I'm a trans-guy, and am now looking into natural transitioning along with eventual top-surgery and T shots. I'm only out to a small handful of people in my face-to-face life, as I am a 22 (nearly 23) year old attending university and still living under my father's roof (until March). I'm happily taken by a queer girl named Niecey, who is my best friend and who is 100% supportive of my eventual full transition from female to male. Aside from all that, I'm a writer who would love to eventually…

  10. Hekko, After a lengthy hiatus, I am back, and I had to create a new sign-in to do it. I am well established here in Terre Haute, Indiana, and continue to work as a door greeter at Meijer. I have been coming out more and more as a transgender person to a select few including the store director and his administrative assistant, some friends at work, and even my hair stylist. I now have highlights in my hair and have had my ears pierced. It is very liberating for me to be able to talk freely about my life with my friends, and i have to say that everyone I have ttold has been very supportive. I have also started a YouTube channel called Michelle Lea's Trans Life.…

Hello everyone, First of all, I hope that I am not offending anyone for blogging on here. My goal is not to condemn or criticize. It is quite the opposite. I am here to learn and perhaps give support. My name is grasshopper and I am a 36 year old cisgendered woman. I identify has female, although poorly at times. This June, I married my wife who is transgender (MtF). She used to blog on this website. She told me it helped her very much. I want people to now how much I love my wife. I wish I knew her prior to her transition. I would have helped her. In actuality, she has to face transitioning by herself. Her transition was successful for the most p…

Hello All I'm a mentally out transgender girl what I mean by that is I have not yet really changed my physical appearance so much yet... but i'm perfectly honest with everyone about my gender identity so much so that I lost most of my friends and support outside of my family my old church that I had attended for four years has shunned me because of this. I started a blog here check it out by looking at my profile activity. I'm also active on Youtube and twitter. And I love meeting new people and helping people out

  16. I am someone who has been hiding inside someone who I am not for years now and I am getting more worried that the real woman inside will never be able to get out. I really need someone who can see my problem without judgement and help me to that journey that will let the woman inside of me bloom and become real. I suffer from trying to go out in public as who I know who I am for fear of being found out so I do not get to do it that often and would like to get to do it more often with the right person helping me to gain the confidence of being out in public as a woman and not be caught as the other person. If there is anyone who could understand this and possibly help it w…

Hello everyone, I have been struggling with my life for years now and without going into a very long story, I have decided that the time has come for me to be honest with myself and seek medical help and become the woman I have know I should have been. I have chosen the name Laura-Ann Caryl ............ , I miss my mum, she was Caryl Ann ............. , as I wanted to stay close to my mum's memory I used her name but in the other order and added the Laura as Ann didn't sound right on it's own as a first name. Feel free to stop by and ask me anything Hugs and Kisses Laura-Ann

  20. Hi all, It's only been a few weeks since I decided to transition and I'm a bit nervous. I could recount my story but as I've already done that in a blog I'll just link it here. http://thetranslesbianexpress.wordpress.com/2014/12/17/small-beginnings/ I have a few good friends who support me so I'm luckier than some, but my family would never understand. Thanks for letting me join. Also: Someone really needs to change or remove the Captcha on registration. It took me 20+ tries to join. A less persevering soul might give up.

  21. Started by Alonira,

I've never been very good at introducing myself (or interacting with new people in general, to be honest), but here goes: I was raised in a very... closed-minded? environment (LDS/Mormon, if that means anything to anyone), so when I began to doubt my gender it was something I kept to myself, my most closely- guarded secret. A couple online friends (one in particular) helped me sort through my feelings a little, but they weren't very experienced in this sort of thing and so mostly just listened as I rambled. It wasn't 'til my last couple semesters at college that I was able to bring myself to talk about it aloud, with one of the counselors from the school's free coun…

  22. Hi, I am unique California athletic outdoor girl looking for similar to explore the world. I am a blonde, athletic, a little taller than average, giftedly gendered lady looking to meet new friends. As a fitness trainer and bodybuilder competitor I was catapulted into the national spot light as the first transgender to compete in a body building competition in San Diego, California at the Scottish Rite Center in October of 2011. The attention and news coverage landed opportunities to speak out and about the difficulties, misconception and misperceptions that transgender individuals face on a daily and now national level. My main focus is personal fitness and publicly…

Greetings TGguide, both new and seasoned members. I used to come out here many years ago, prior to transition, and, after completion in 2009, I had decided to stay out of the proverbial limelight but thought I'd return just to say hey and see how everyone (if still here from the '04 - '08 days) was doing. I may come round every so often to check in but figured now, on the other side of the fence, felt it may be beneficial to many others whom are where I once started to return to listen and share my experiences in hopes to make that process easier and less solitary for those having a rough go at transition. In the interim, I wish everyone a wonderful Summer and I look f…

Hi My name is Matt and I'm from London. This is my first time joining any forum but it was recommended by a friend and I can see why - very friendly. I guess my first experience was when I was about 13 or 14. I had read a story in one of the Sunday newspapers about a boy my age that had discovered himself after wearing womens lingerie and it really sounded right. I did try it myself for a couple of years but I guess I was more attracted to the idea of the guy in the story rather than it being me. Over the years Ive had the opportunity to meet and date but have never really pursued anyone, I always thought I was straight yet I found women lacking in some way - …
