Hello everyone. I hope I'm in the right place. Who am I? That's a hard question to answer, I don't know that yet myself. For 40 years I have been Robert, but I never felt like Robert, I never liked Robert and only recently have I decided to do something about it. I put a pistol in my mouth for the first time when I was 14. I knew from about age 6 that I was somehow "wrong." I preferred to play with my sisters toys, mimicking the female voices of the barbies when we played pretend. I preferred her clothes. My mom just assumed I was weird until I started getting out of hand, my temper was horrible. My mother had me tested for everything under the sun, the doctors said I …

  2. Started by AllyT2018,

Hello Everyone, I am Ally (61 years old), transitioning late in life. For years, I told everyone I was a gay man, but that never felt right. It was just a compromise. Like most MTFs I have spoken with, I wish I had started sooner, but I am very happy to take the step now. I am not one to spend a lot of time on regrets. My transition has been a gradual process -- first going through electrolysis -- and only starting HRT in early 2018. I took a break from HRT in early 2019. I just put it on hold because of other stuff in my life. Also, my results weren't that great. My estrogen level never rose above 28 -- still in the range of a man not on hormones. My doctor was…

  3. Started by DeannaJoy,

Here is a picture of me taken on 12-12-12. My name is Deanna. I am 63 years young and just starting my second year of male to female transition and have completed all of the requirements for SRS including living at least a year in my new gender role, completing a year of hormone replacement therapy and six months in a psychotherapeutic relationship. I came out to friends and family the week following Thanksgiving 2011. I also began a blog to record my thoughts, feelings, and activities that would lead me to the completion of my transition. It is located at https://messagesfrom...wordpress.com/. I have also established a fundraising site to raise the money I need to have…

Hi folks. I'm in my mid 50s with a male facade but a woman waving out the window. I am married and have a grown up son and daughter. I knew when I was 4 years old that I was female but thought I would keep it a secret for over 40 years. My ambition is to look in a mirror and a woman looks back. Far from achieved despite a nose job and hair transplant. Anyway, about me really. I am absolutely obsessed by space/cosmology. Even more so, sentience: just what happens that stuff becomes aware that its's stuff? At the moment I am reading Jane Eyre. Not my typical read but after reading a quote from it in The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls (Emilie Autumn) I was d…

  5. Started by August,

I'm a 28 year old trans man living in Tennessee. I've just discovered this site and I'm here in hopes of finding more information on the transgender community. I've been male my entire life but, my anatomy disagrees. I've only recently realized that I'm not the only one who's body doesn't match their gender identity and am searching for as much information as I can to help me on my journey. Perhaps I'll even make some friends along the way. I look forward to meeting the members of this site though, I'm a bit on the shy side. Please feel free to strike up a conversation with me. August

Hello,I am Zoe and I have a 15 year old trans daughter,Alexis that has been living and dressing as a girl for 2 years now.All started at age 7 with her into wanting to try on girl's clothing and let her do it.I saw her happy and became supportive,we thought she was a crossdresser at first when she was my son.As Alexis got older,I knew she was trying to tell me something and was nervous. Finally at age 13,she came out as bigender and accepted it telling her I still love her no matter what.Being my oldest,I knew she was going to be happy living and dressing as a girl.I was not too happy with what my ex husband whom is her bio father did, made fun of her with rejection.Alexis …

  8. Hello to everyone Now - how do I introduce myself? What labels/descriptions/terminolgy do I use? Gender and gender identity is so complex and individual that sometimes none of the prepaid labels seem to fit. First of all, "Ben Verona" is not my real name, but I guess many people here use a pseudonymn. On the face of it I'm a 64 year old man living in England. Here's the first stumbling block - your image of "64" might conjure up the word "old". Well - I don't feel "old" but I am also entirely comfortable with my age. I'm far more at one with myself than I was when I was 30. So - I'm biologically male but for many years I have identified more with my feminine psyc…

Hello,I am Hailey and I am a crossdresser, started this year.I love being a crossdresser so far and trying new things. All started when my wife talked me into getting made over as a woman and I said no way at first. Then my step sister Julia stepped in and finally said yes.I say the toughest part was getting used to wearing a bra and walking in heels.I am getting used to both, practicing walking in the heels was a huge help thanks to my wife.My mother has been great about it,says she recieved a new daughter in her life.

  11. Started by KayleeEl,

Hi! I'm Kaylee. I've been blogging here for a little, but I've been naughty and not introduced myself on the forums. I'm 30, pre-op and have been self-medicating oestrogen, progesterone and anti androgens for 6 months. I live in the UK and am a software developer (specifically a human computer interaction specialist). I've lived in Tokyo for a year, although my Japanese is still appalling. My family have nothing to do with me: my father is a sexually abusive sociopath and my mother is a narcissist. I'm bi (pan, technically), size 14, curvy in the right places and cute... Though sometimes I look in the mirror and still see a boy in a dress. I changed my…

  13. Started by Kristila95,

Hey everyone:) I've been on TGGuide for a week of so but have never introduced myself. My name is Kristina and most people call me Kristi. I live and attend college in Philadelphia. I am technically a "pre-op transsexual" woman but I prefer transgender for those times it's necessary to label myself. I like to discuss the issues that we as transwomen face in our lives....social, political, legal, etc. I also like the usual things like music, movies, nature, being with my friends, riding my bicycle, as well as dance, fashion and anything creative. I hope that everyone is having a great day and hope to hear from some of you:) <3 KML

  14. Hi! My name's not always Monica, but sometimes it is. I've spent too much of my life not crossdressing, either because I thought I didn't want to, had suppressed the desire, or was just more interested in other stuff. But now, you know what? I'm not getting any younger. So now, I'm gonna continue to not get any younger, but do it in a skirt from time to time. In my dude-mode, I am an outgoing, non-drinking, storytelling SF/F nerd. In Monica mode, I am an outgoing, non-drinking, storytelling SF/F nerd in pantyhose and heels. Granted that I'm not in Monica mode very much just yet, but I'm gonna change that. So. Hello. Questions? Comments? I'm here!

Hi, my name is Chris, and I'm in Oregon. I knew at a very early age that I was different from all the other girls. I hated playing girl games, and with girl toys. Due to my religious upbringing, it took me another 38 years to come out and say I was attracted to women, not men. Now that I'm nearing 50, I realized it's more than that. I came out as transgender 2 years ago, and with yes, even more opposition than just being gay. Yet, I hadn't changed the way I dressed, our acted in all of these years. I have dressed male since as long as I can remember. I haven't changed the person I was to become someone I'm not. I'm finally becoming the true to self person I've a…

Just call me Merrick. I've been struggling with my identity for a while now; I know who I am, I just don't know how to cope with it. I'm ftm, but my mom doesn't understand me. I wrote her a letter telling her this, but she yelled and refused to call me her son. Eventually she apologized, and we talked some more. I know she still doesn't get me.

Hi everyone, I'm Amber. I am a single country girl who is south of Orlando, Florida. I am a non-op trans girl who began my transition in 1995. I was blessed with a relationship with a wonderful man for 18 years until heart trouble took him from me in 2013. I had originally planned for srs in 2012 but circumstances beyond my control changed my plans. My main goal now is to live my life according to what makes me happy and not dwell on things beyond my control like how people think I should be living.

  18. I started following @TGGuide on twitter and Lori suggested that I join and introduce myself. I am Jeremy Mathis. My daughter is Coy, a 6 year old transgender girl. I just want to get to know people and make new friends. I have been fortunate that the very few number of people I am friends with in person have been supportive of me and my wife and especially our daughter, but I feel that they don't quite understand. Since Coy's story has been in the news, I have been able to meet other transgender men, women, and their supportive families. It is so uplifting to speak to people who understand without question. Thanks for hosting this website and for letting me be part of it…

Hi; my name is Connie I'm 57, divorced, and have been wearing pretty things since about 5 years old. Those that know me personally are not supportive at all of us, so I keep things pretty much in the closet. Even at this age I'm still wondering where I fit in in the T spectrum. Anyway its so nice to find a group like this. Thank you for the support! Connie

Hi everyone. I'm Jen. I'm in my 50s and after many years of therapy, I've come to the point where I can admit to myself and my therapist that I am transgendered. I've felt wrong since I was 9 years old, but didn't understand it for a long time, then I denied and repressed those feelings. My wife and I have been married for over 30 years and we have two grown kids (one a junior in college). I live on Long Island, NY. I'm a lawyer with a small general practice. My wife would not take me coming out very well. I think my kids would be more accepting. My therapist is encouraging me to reach out to support groups, so here I am. She thinks some sort of group therapy d…
