  1. Started by atof,

Hello there, My name's Alex. I'm a 27 year old biological male. I have been thinking a lot about my gender recently and don't really know how to characterize myself. I joined this site to read about other peoples' experiences and possibly to write about my own as well. Looking forward to learning more about you all. :)

Hello all of TGG, On here I'll be using the name Brian. I'm 18 years old and recently came to terms with me being transgender. I've been aware of being transgender since around the age of 10. I was the blue eyed blonde haired little girl my grandmother adored. I was very confused and wasn't sure if I was supposed to say anything. But inside I knew that I was different then what I showed on the outside. I wanted to be the rebelious boy that ever parent loves to hate. Besides that I'm in college currently and looking for employment. I'm glad to meet all of you. Brian

Very late in transitioning. Spent a lifetime denying myself. Finally took the plunge after I was on life support and not expected to live. Figured what the heck, go for it.

Newbie here. Nothing warms my heart more than finding a fantastic community such as this. I've come to realize that acceptance is always the key. Accepting one's gender and embracing life as a whole determines our strength, readies us for what lies ahead, and encourages us to improve from our past mistakes. Hugs and kisses to the whole community and cheers to everyone!

Hello, everyone. I was told of this site by a coworker of mine (whom of which I'm not sure desires to be named), and I've come to see what it's all about. Any suggestions for navigating the site? Introduction time. As previously mentioned, I'm Daniel. I'm a transman, and have been in active transition for about three years, now. Something was different for as long as I can remember. From kindergarten until my realization at 16, I was fighting a battle within myself I was uneqquiped to deal with. I always ran with the boys in kindergarten, trying to girl the girls 'cooties' and what not; when I started to hit puberty, I never wore what I should have for the develo…

  10. Started by AAP,

Hello, I'm AAP. About 4 months ago, I've been very confused about what I am and sometimes my insecurity troubles me. I can split myself into two parts. One half loves the idea the of being transgender or a cross-dresser and living happier because I can explore myself in new and exciting ways. But the other half can be scared, sad and or depressed about the thought. Luckily, I've been getting some help with friends and family. I've so far talked to one friend, four family members and a therapist about my feelings. My friend is also transgender who I knew very well. The family members were my niece, brother, Mom and Dad. So far, my niece, brother and friend have been very s…

  11. Started by silence,

Hello. I came here tonight seeking a community of others who also understand and go through what i am experiencing in life. I've completely given up on all other social media sites, unable to deal with angry transphobes as it seems like a waste of time and certainly doesn't make me very happy. Where i am i am alone, There are other TG people in my city but for a few reasons i am disconnected, mostly because i am disabled and struggle with additional issues that make meeting people in person hard. I rarely speak anymore. I don't see anyone and i rarely go out anywhere. When i do i tend to only shop in the middle of the night and even then avoid anyone i see. It's lonely h…

  12. Started by Elsa,

Hi My name is Elsa, I currently reside in Australia. At 60 years of age, in a few months time, I finally came out 2 months ago. At first to my Doctor, then my Psychologist and a wonderfull gender Therapist. With their help I was able to then come out to my family. While I initially thought of myself as a crossdresser, that has changed since coming out. I now realise that I am transgender and in fact I think of myself as a female. Dressing for me is now a means to match how how see myself mentally with how I look physically and since coming out dressing just seems natural, as if it was how I was meant to be. I have already met some wonderful people across a number of tran…

  13. Started by Miriam,

Hello all, I am Miriam a life long CD starting from age 12. Nothing unusual about that as many of you started about the same time, some even sooner. I'm a former NY resident that now lives in Florida. I'm 6'1 in heels and now a size 12, not so bad for a gal my age. Florida brought a list of challenges for me. In NY, because it has 4 seasons meant I could have a wardrobe for every season, not so in Florida, where its almost summer always. Getting rid of my winter fashions was hard to do, but gave those outfits to charity. I now wear summer clothes 90% of the time. I wear a lot of high heeled sandals now so keeping my legs in good shape. I now great a pedicure about ev…

Hello, I am super new to all of this as I've just begun my journey as a trans woman. I'm pre-everything. I found this community through my therapist. I live in rural Illinois with my amazing wife and beautiful 9 month-old daughter. I've only come out to my wife, therapist, and an old friend. Rural Illinois is not the best place right now. I hope that I will be able to connect with folks, find resources, and figure out a plan for moving forward.

Hello, I'm Lauren, nice to meet you! I live in South Carolina. Like most of you, I have been transgender most of my life. I've only recently come to understand and identify that this feeling inside of me, that has been building up over the course of my life, is what it is. So as you can imagine I am awash with relief, terror and everything else in between. Fortunately for me, I have some awesome friends who are understanding and helped me seek out someone who can help me understand. I am now seeing a state affiliated counselor. With her help and the help of my local sisters, I am slowly understanding this aspect of me that I have both subconsciously hid and initi…

Like in the title, my name is Ashley and I identify as a pansexual pre-op transgender Wiccan man who was in a bit of denial for the first 24 years of my life. Well not quite denial until I was in fourth grade. Up until that point, I just thought of myself as different but a normal kid nonetheless. My earliest memories of my childhood was the continuous shunning of dresses, dolls, tea sets and tea parties for playing with the boys in the neighborhood, playing on my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle big wheel, and always wearing little boy's clothing. Then around fourth grade, I started to realize I was attracted to both boys and girls and started making myself feel guilt…

I'm 37, from Georgia MtF. I currently live in Taylorsville KY. I decide to start my transition in 2009; I was ready to dive in head first. My goal was to finish my transition by the end of 2010. It took me a few months but I finally found a therapist in Feb 2010. (not many to choose from in north GA) I also started attending the monthly group meets. After attending a few of them and see the problem everyone was having after they came out at work and home. I decided to slow my transition down a bit. I started HRT in May 2010. I still continued to dress at home and would go to ATL to go out in public dressed. I had worked in landscaping for most of my career and was very g…

Hello, my name is Margot. I've known I was female since I was 3/4. Found out what a transsexual was when I was 12. Came to terms that I was transgendered when I was 14. Came out to a few friends when I was 16. Openly admitted it when I was 18/19. Dressed publicly for the first time this year, came out to my family too. Now I'm mostly full time and looking to start taking hormones soon. I love music, I play guitar, piano, and sing. I enjoy writing songs and I love music in every genre, it's hard for me to find music I don't like. I love the outdoors, I camp, hike, run, and go for walks. I also like video games and movies. I study chemical engineering. That's me in a nutshe…

  20. I'm currently in Des Moines, Iowa. I am 40 and finally stopped fighting my self over wanting to be female. Told my family and they are supportive which was one of my biggest fears. I'm looking forward to trying life as a female though I still feel nervous and scared about how people will treat me. I've been dressing up in secret since childhood. I feel much more comfortable and at ease as a woman than I do as a male. When I dress up and see the woman in the mirror I feel this is the person I should be. I'm hoping to find friends in the area who can help me become more comfortable being the real me in public and maybe do some shopping.

  23. Started by lifehaschanged,

Hello, been crossdressing fulltime for 12 years now. It was after my 35th birthday seeing there was an inner female inside of me that wanted out and knew about it when I was in my teens. First was going into my wife's closet taking out a dress of hers and trying it on. I enjoyed and realized how comfortable it was to wear. Luckily I put it back carefully how she had it in there and never questioned me at first. Then I was secretly buying women's clothes including shoes and my wife noticed the changes in me knowing something wasn't right. Plus she knew someone went into her closet seeing nothing out of place. I did finally confess to her that it was me and tried on a dres…
