How common are intersex conditions? Estimates of intersex condition incidence range from 1 in 100 (2) to 2 in 10,000 (3) depending on the precise …

I brougth my sis-in-law back stateside /w my wife & I: then quickly found out about her having CAH (non salt wasting). She is a high function Austism (sp), very shy, & a littly clingy. But, she tends to want to skeep /w her blue feeldoe & wear her share-sx during the day; even though she is "well endouded" enougth to urinate as a male due to her partly fused inner labia. Should my wife & I try to encourge her to 'act' female at leat some of the time, or just leave her be?

Intersex surgeries spark move away from drastic treatment Apr 17, 1:18 AM (ET) By LINDSEY TANNER CHICAGO (AP) — She was born to a young Chicago couple, named Jennifer, and grew into a beautiful long-lashed child with wavy dark hair, big brown eyes and a yearning, youthful desire to be just like all the other girls. Only she wasn't. Doctors first noticed her slightly enlarged genitals, and then discovered she had testes inside her abdomen and male chromosomes. And so began a series of surgeries to make things "right." http://apnews.myway.com/article/20150417/us--med--intersex_children-696841353c.html

I ran across this site today. The revised Harry Benjamin Standards are saying that one is not transsexual but rather intersexed. I was wondering what others thought of this. To me, it makes perfect sense Billie Jo http://www.harrybenjaminsyndrome-info.org/soc.html

on these grounds: 1. insufficient evidence that atypical genitalia leads to psychosocial distress 2. the surgery can cause severe and irreversible physical harm and emotional distress 3. they violate an individual's right to personal autonomy over their own future http://oii-usa.org/4325/former-surgeon-generals-call-for-mor-unnec-intersex-infant-surgeries/

I've been a healthy male as far as I could tell for the last 21 years. However as of late, especailly do to commentary by one of my girlfriends i've kind of questioned if I was really born a normal baby boy. *warning, next part is a wee bit descriptive and blunt* As a treat to my girlfriend, I did the whole "porn start cut" on my penis and scrotum. While she loved it, she noted that I had a pretty wierd scar along my scrotum leading down pretty far toward my anus. She even noted it felt there were scar tissue from stiches. Now at the time it wasn't that much of a concern, since I was otherwise pre-occupied. However after the incident I began to examine what she…

I was doing dishes this morning and thinking about various recent conversations and posts on the Internet when something hit me like a ton of bricks! I am in my mid-50s and grew up with a very strong female gender identity and (seemingly) pretty normal male genitalia. The only oddity was that, at puberty, I had both some male and some female development. Because my self identification was strongly female and I hated the “male parts”, I started self-medicating very early (about 14 years old) and tried to swamp any masculinization with estrogen. I lived a dual life for many years (female and androgynous). I had genital surgery at age 24 and took to my new life like a fis…

Gender Puzzle (part 1 of 5) Video description: Are we on the cusp of discovering what determines gender? The old mantra - all girls have XX chromosomes and all boys have XY - is no longer reliable. Scientists are now looking beyond chromosomes to "brain sex" and the role of newly discovered genes. By studying transsexuals and people on the gender extremes, they believe they can unlock the gender puzzle. This high-quality documentary looks at the new and challenging science of gender.

I've just been a little bit curious about this lately, and it's probably nothing, but reading things from google got me wondering. This is for any genetic male out there who still has male genetals. I've never seen another man's scrotum in a very definitive manner, and I've never seen the area behind the scrotum at all. But I've noticed that when I feel that area with my fingers, there's kind of a rigid area between the legs(behind the scrotum). I was wondering if all guys have this. I..erm...tried looking there in the mirror but I kind of put myself in dangerous positions trying to line the reflection up. I've read somewhere that the rigid line down the middle of the scr…

Kalidasa, considered the greatest poet and playwright in Indian history, describes shiva and shakti (male and female entities) as inseparable as a word and its meaning or a letter and its pronunciation. This is often depicted through the androgynous/hermaphroditic form of shiva, ardhanarishvara, literally meaning the god that is half (or part) female.

I firmly believe a soul is a soul and no mattter what we are born as regardless of human and parental /surgiical procedure's etc determining the gender of a newborn infant's gender if there is a ambigious or not popular reason to the parents / surgeon to so to play alpha omega no one knows the consequences and mind set of that child till they are of a age of rekoning i would rather leave this decisive manner up to the young child at a ager that they can make their own decisu\ions or know who they are by preliminary observatiions till that child develops into their own soul because the soul is probably imbeddeded in the 2nd week / month of conception and e…
