Brian Leonard's brevity in this clip is to be admired. He talks about his painful upbringing and the family confusion about his duality. There is frontal nudity in this segment as Brian shows us what he/she is all about. This documentary is for mature audiences and contains nudity.

I've been on T blockers for a bit now, and one of my testes hurts a LOT, and the other doesn't hurt at all. Is this just the right one being a PITA, or is it an indication of something else?

I always wondered what happened to me. I had a "GID" all the way back when I can first remember. I had a bad case of TS where I had srs and all the therapy one can stomach in 3 lifetimes. I had no difficulty in passing as all my life when people first see me thought I was a girl. I had a girls voice and still do. I am in my 40s now and my life is stable. I always have been a girl. Even though I was biologically male back then, I had a hard time passing as a guy. My mother said that she had bleeding when she was three months pregnet with me. I often wondered if I have some sort of intersexed condition. Sheila

  11. Intersex surgeries spark move away from drastic treatment Apr 17, 1:18 AM (ET) By LINDSEY TANNER CHICAGO (AP) — She was born to a young Chicago couple, named Jennifer, and grew into a beautiful long-lashed child with wavy dark hair, big brown eyes and a yearning, youthful desire to be just like all the other girls. Only she wasn't. Doctors first noticed her slightly enlarged genitals, and then discovered she had testes inside her abdomen and male chromosomes. And so began a series of surgeries to make things "right." http://apnews.myway.com/article/20150417/us--med--intersex_children-696841353c.html

DEFINING SOME TERMS Gonadal intersex (or "true hermaphrodite"): Rare condition in which the child has both ovarian and testicular tissue, either in separate gonads or as hybrid "ovotestes." Reproductive tracts, genital anatomy and gender identity are variable. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia (or adrenogenital syndrome): Genetic error in adrenal glands causes excessive secretion of androgens during fetal life. Genitals of female children are masculinized to a variable degree. Psychological effects include an increased likelihood of same-sex attraction in adulthood. Androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS, or testicular feminization): An XY (chromosomally male) fetu…

Hi, I'm new on here. For all my life, I've been wanting to being a girl and denying and supressing it. I've only now admitted and decided to live with it. However, I think I may actually be intersexed. A lot of my body features and shapes are distinctly female. I also go through mood swings and emotional changes in ways that women do and guys don't. My bodyhair is light, on my arms and face (I can't grow a real beard, even if I don't shave for weeks, just some dark fuzz), although moderate on my legs. (although I suspect that's a genetic feature of being Italian-descended). So, is it possible that I've got something generating estrogen or something similar in me? Is…

  19. Good afternoon all. I am new to this forum and wanted to chime in on some items that I think should be explored in the DSD, intersex, hermaphrodite arenas. I know that this thread is a bit long and I hope that people find it helpful. Even being my first post here, I would hope that it opens up a discussion and doesn't violate any protocols on the forum. I would love to explore my own personal journey, but I wanted to answer an older thread without reviving a zombie thread. If I overstepped any bounds please accept apologies ahead of time. This subject is of great interest to me and I wanted to answer with some gus…

  20. I have always known that I was androgynous, both male and female in my personality and identity. Though my outward social persona has been male from the beginning, it crossed my mind a few times wondering what it would be like to be fully female, but mostly I have considered this the best of both worlds to be both. It was the greatest gift when, in my twenties, I discovered that I have an almost hidden female part in addition to my male anatomy. It gave physical three-dimensionality to my inner experience and I feel much more whole or complete. I feel extraordinarily fortunate to be both male and female, and it has enhanced my relationships with my female partners. There'…

  21. Posted 7:48 PM, December 30, 2016, by Mariel Turner For the first time in the United States, New York City issued a birth certificate reading “intersex” in the gender field. On December 15, the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene corrected the original birth certificate of Sara Kelly Keenan, born in Brooklyn 55 years ago. She received it in the mail at her Santa Cruz, California, home on Tuesday. “It was wonderful. It was the first time I saw ‘intersex’ in print related to my name,” said Keenan, an addiction life coach. “When I applied in court, I chose ‘non-binary,’ because that’s an umbrella term that would also include gender variant people.” More here: http…
