Went to St. Pete Saturday and participated in the Trans March, at the beginning of the Pride parade. I simply can't describe what it felt like to have 300,000 people, cheer and roar, with genuine love, acceptance, and validation. If you can get out and be visible, do so with Pride. Yep, today's the day and I wish all you the best. Celebrate your existence, validity, and whatever visibility you have achieved. It seems that today's also the day when Brad Little, the governor of Idaho, signed into state law that trans girls may not participate in girls sports and in another law that Idahoans may not update the gender marker on their birth certificate. I also read that volunteers building that coronavirus camps in NY's Central Park are required to agree that transgender people don't exist, same-sex marriage is a sin, and gay people should be celibate or risk "damnation and eternal punishment." Of course, there are many many more examples…

The Southern Comfort Transgender Conference begins Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (8/15-8/17). Online registration is closed BUT on site registration is available beginning Thursday at the Hotel Conference Center, 8th floor, Riverside Hotel, Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The independent film by Jerry Williams will premiere 4-25 in a ONE SHOWING ONLY at the Byrd Theater , W Cary street ! This is the film I'm in and I think it is hilarious as well as true , Donnie Corker was as brash as 50 grit sandpaper and I was proud to have known her as I did . Donnie brought being a Gay man in a dress to life in Richmond and certainly allowed we Transgender people to flourish . The Los Angeles LGBT Center and the City of West Hollywood are hosting a “job and resources fair specifically tailored for trans people,” according to a press release. Hi all, On September 7-9, 2017 in Philadelphia they are holding the 16th Annual Trans Health Conference. I attended for the first time last year, but it was well worth the trip (from NYC, so not the longest of trips, but still). I did the general admission last year (which is free), and it was worth the time. This year I'm doing the professional track (which was $85 for a student), so I have a lot more options of presentations. There are 2 professionals with whom I've worked who are doing presentations (the person I went to for voice training, and the surgeon who did my GCS). Several weeks ago I was given permission to teach a self-defense class in a local business which is in the working stages for mid September. From the initial response I'm guessing there will be more than one date as I'm teaching this with limited assistance. I can teach people with zero skill with a class size of ten and with a secondary instructor (whom I must teach them my style) I can up class size to say 15. last night in Richmond Virginia at the Valentine History center , I was both PROUD and Privileged to have been a participant along with my son Israel to 400 + visitors who helped make history in the former Capital of the Confederacy .
